A blind date is definitely not how TK wants to be spending his Saturday night, but Nancy had insisted that this guy was gorgeous (or, turned out, a friend of a friend did) and she just wouldn't stop insisting, so TK had no choice but to eventually agree. If one night of pretending he enjoys fancy dinners and making pleasant conversation with a stranger will get Nancy off his back, then he's happy to suffer through it.

TK knows next to nothing about the guy, other than the fact he's gorgeous and supposed to be wearing blue, so the moment he enters the restaurant and spots someone wearing a blue shirt at a table at the far wall, alone, he's off to join them.

"Hi, sorry I'm late." God, the guy had probably already assumed TK had stood him up, as surprised as he looked. "I'm TK. And I promise I'm usually not this astronomically late. Traffic was a nightmare."
