It’s generally really sad to think about the fact that had the MCU not fundamentally fucked up with their writing choices, the MCU would have made the studio so much more money that it does currently.
I watched an interview with Penelope Cruz this week when she was asked how did she prepare for the part in her latest movie (since it's a pretty emotional one) and she said it helped her a great deal to have read the whole script, to know everything that happens in the story, the hows and whys of her character and her co-actresses. She said she needed a full view from Almodovar (the director) so that she could act the whole thing the right way.
And as she was explaining that I couldn't help but think of Marvel. How they continuously make their actors work their parts when they don't know the full story or the situation they're in. They just say their words and call it a day. It's so utterly stupid and it ends with a sub-par quality work - how could it not!
The "no spoilers" craze is only making things worse. And it's so insulting to the actors and actresses as well. Penelope was so careful not to say anything about the movie, why does Marvel distrust their people so much that they risk losing quality just so they can keep it spoiler-free? It's still mind-blowing to me.

like sorry they were not ~protecting chris and seb from harassment for being straight people playing queer characters by not making stucky canon~ (do you really not remember givecaptainamericaaboyfriend?!?!?!?! literally no one cared and the people who do are a minority) they have never once showed they cared about their actors being harassed (besides crisp ratt, meanwhile evc and brie larson have been left to deal with bullshit for years)
they also haven't been ~secretly hinting at the ship being possible in canon while never actually confirming it~ (that on is literally the definition of queerbaiting, and if they actually supported it and didn't despise it they wouldn't have ruined steve's character to avoid it)
they constantly undermine and twist things to avoid depicting queer characters at all costs, while baiting us by promising they've done the bare minimum in a new project and never delivering or delivering worse than nothing
put on your big boy pants and grow up and stop giving them any fucking credit bc they sure as hell don't deserve it

So, the TVA is just full stop Nazis at this point. Not even being subtle about it? They are Nazi. We have passed the point where the TVA have done more actions that the nazi have done then the MCU's version of Hydra. Don't come at me saying the TVA is meant to bad and you're not meant to like them because if that's the case what is all this?
This isn't just making a figurine for kids to play with or collectors to put on their shelves. This is selling people the means to play dress up as the incredible Nazi-coded characters. Does No one see the problem with this?
I know Hasbro sells Cobra and Decepticon merchandise but along with it they still sell GI joe and Autobot Merch. What's being sold with all this TVA merchandise? Maybe a few scant pieces of Sylvie stuff but also Loki dress up in the TVA aesthetic. All they have to sell to the audience is the fascists.

The promotion for Secret Empire was controversial, deservedly so but now several years later Marvel does the exact same thing and the reaction people have is, Loki getting what deserves and Mobius is so charming.
It doesn't seem like the TVA are going away. If rumors are to believed they're going to be in Deadpool 3 and if it doesn't contain Wade slicing these monsters to sherds that franchise can go crash and burn as well.Marvel please just stop

Okay so Loki is a character I’ve loved for a decade (I adore the actor too) and I was hyped beyond reason for the show and I wanted more than anything to enjoy it as I love him and time travel stuff but I couldn’t. The pacing was too slow, Tom’s acting was off (which sucks because we all know how well he usually plays Loki) and they made Loki into a a childish, pathetic and powerless WIMP! He’s a GOD FFS! He should be more powerful than the likes of Carol Danvers, Doctor Strange and Wanda Maximoff! He wielded TWO Infinity Stones in the first Avengers movie (Space & Mind) so why does he get beaten up by vaccuums and mortal humans in his show? And why is this show not even about him as Sylvie says? They turned him into a laughing stock and a sap where he used to be one of the coolest characters ever. Mysterious, cunning, smart, witty, funny (not in a stupid way) and always had a regal presence. Not that of an idiotic office worker! I blame Disney and Michael Wallydron for the terrible writing and direction this show took. I don’t want to watch my favourite character get kicked in the crotch a dozen times and castrated of a personality and power he once had! What a disrespect to the fans, actors and franchise this nonsense was! Tom may be a ‘producer’ but he said that he only had 3% input! They should have just let him write, direct AND act it and be DONE with it! What happened to his Jotun heritage huh? FORGOTTEN! Give us fans what we want and deserve instead of what Disney want! They want to make him into a joke! THEY RUINED one of my all time favourite characters and it HURTS BADLY!!! 😤😭😪💔
THEY TRY TO STAY RELEVANT BUT YET RUIN EVERYTHING GOOD THEY'VE DONE BY HIRING INEXPERIENCED PEOPLE THAT QUITE LITERALLY NEVER WATCHED THE MOVIES BEFORE (Ex: Taika Waititi and Mike Waldron).
Retconning stories and completely ignoring or forgetting details (ex: Loki's story of abuse and trauma. Thor's golden heart, Odin being a bitch), or just SKIPPING plot that would have been 10000% more interest than what they offer because their Out Of Character shit is more entertaining to them (The whole Strange and Mordo plot ending in a one mention sentence).
They ended up making everything so fucking BLAND because nowadays they don't value analysing media nor the fans they got because they find it easier to make stuff that'd keep children entertained. (And even then, children also deserve good storytelling. They're also tired of the constant jokes).
It is VERY telling that the characters they screw over are either abuse victims or disabled. They only care if it's a female character

Magneto is JEWISH. He is a Jewish character. The original version of the story the new X-Men 97 season is trying to tell relied on him being snapped out his plan by a young Jewish girl being hurt (I actually posted about how much I love this story beat last year). A young Jewish girl he later attends a meeting of Holocaust survivors with. Telling this story without using the word “Holocaust” or “Jewish” is so very telling. And it’s not a one off with this show— Roberto is an Afro-Brazilian character who manifested his powers because of a hate crime and they changed his origin completely.
Disney will ALWAYS shy away from these issues. They will ALWAYS want the kudos from having minority characters while sanitizing their stories. Really think about what it means for them to do this to characters like Sunspot and Magneto, but stand their ground when it comes to keeping the Israeli propaganda character in upcoming Cap movie.
