It's Techno's first christmas in the overworld.
Ever since Wilbur found him abandoned near a broken portal, he decided they were twins because they had the same birthmark in their on arm. Despite Phil's amusement, they became family. As family, they celebrated christmas together. Techno didn't get anything other than the fact that they gathered gifts for the Tree and he remembered elders in the bastion did something similar to unite the sounder with gold instead of a tree. He's a little confused, but he has the spirit! So he asked Wilbur to help him with a proper fit. Wilbur thought it'd be funny, he even made a skirt for himself with the remaining cloth. Phil is too scared to ask how they managed to make the decoration glow without redstone. They had fun.
(Techno doesn't realise he misunderstood christmas until three years later they meet Tommy. He kept dressing up as a tree for years. Nobody told him, rip.)
