SIGHING YOU LEAN YOUR head in your palm, “I don’t know. His voice just does it for me.” you groan, not being able to quite explain it to your friends.
“What does he even sound like?” your friends, friend asks whom sits at your lunch table. Making the others smile softly.
As you sit up, you clear your throat. Furrowing your brows harshly together, “Oi, dumbass! What did you say? I will kick your ass.”
Their brows raise at the words, “That seems a little agressive.” she mumbles.
“It’s cute.” you sigh, “Do it again!” your friend nudges, taking a bite of her food.
“Grow a pair, loser!”
“What are you doing, dumbass?” someone asks. Freezing at the voice, your eyes widen, “Hey….” you trail off, an awkward smile tucking up your lips as you turn to face him.
His voice uncharacteristically calm, “My answer depends on how much you heard.”
“All of it.” he grumbles out, still weirdly calm. Staying silent you pounder over what you should do. You could make a run for it, but what would that look like? Besides he will probably catch up.
You could also just say that you were doing impressions of everyone in the class to your friends whom aren’t in 1A. That is an amazing one, we will go with that, “I—“
“She loves your voice.”
Snapping your head to your friend, you glare at her, “The silence was killing me!” your friend cries out, not liking the look on your face.
“And now I’m going to kill you.”
“No, you won’t.” she denies. Raising a brow, i slowly take my bag, “You try that again, I will rip you phone apart and make sure it takes them weeks to make.”
Gasping she clutches her phone to her chest, “You wouldn’t.”
“I totally would.”
At her second gasp, you assume she used her quirk to make sure you were being honest, “Yeah,” you nod. Having the bell ring, you are litteraly saved by it.
Staring to walk away, you try to ignore the red eyes boring into the side of your face. “Oi, dumbass are you going to answer the damn question?”
Continueing to walk, you clear your voice, “Uhm, I- uh, I like your voice.” you stutter out. Avoiding glancing at him.
“Why?” he asks. Your brows crunch up at the question. You hadn’t really thought about that really, you just liked it. It was a deep, gruff, it just hit your ears nicely. Even if he was yelling, or being mean.
“I- I don’t really know.”
Letting a comfortable silence take over, you take glance to make sure he is about to explode or not, “I thought you were… scared of me.” he grumbles out, if you weren’t so close to him right now, you would have probably missed it.
“Why would I be scared of you? You’re just passionate. And a little mean, but if you ask me it’s better to have someone be mean in your face, then behind your back.”
“Oh.” he mummbles. Humming, you twiddle your thumbs, thinking if now was a good moment to ask for a little more then just being addressed as dumbass on the few occasions he even talks to you.
Thinking about it, why was he even at your table? He usually sits with Kirishima, Sero, and Kaminari. At the otherside of the cafeteria, maybe not completely the otherside but far away to be out of earshot.
“Bakugou—”
“[Y/L/N]—”
Blinking at him starting to talk at the same time as him, you stop walking, holding your hand up, “Oh, you can go first.” you offer at the same as he says; “You go, shitty women.”
Biting on your lip, you sigh, not asking the dumb question. Asking something else instead, “Would you— maybe. You can totally say no. It’s probably—” you ask, stuttering as you do, wanting to curse yourself as you stare at anywhere but his face.
“Spit it out.”
“Would you maybe wanna hang out; we can train or something.” you ‘spit’ out. Glancing at him briefly for his answer, “Sure.” he nods. Nodding, you smile softly, at the boy. Whom looks away as soon as he notices.
“Don’t think this means anything, loser.”
“Of course, not.”
