=͟͟͞͞ ⌧ : I was literally scrolling and looking at kenma pics so yes ofc this is perfect!!

"Keeeeeenmaaaaaaa." You call your roommate out from the kitchen, hoping he hears you from his current stream.

Silence.

"Ugh." You growl and make your way to his streaming room.

First, he texts you to warm up the leftovers from last night instead of talking to you like a normal human being. Then he doesn’t answer you, even if he texted to call for him to tell him it’s ready.

Hearing him talk through the closed door, you open it a bit after knocking three times.

"One sec, roomie called. You can come in." Kenma looks over his shoulder, when he spots you, he turns around to tell his fans he’ll be afk for five minutes.

Now fully turning to you in his overly expensive gaming chair, you have his full attention.

"You texted me 10 minutes ago that you wanted the pasta heated up remember?" You lean against the door frame while crossing one leg over the other.

"Oh yeah, sorry about that. I’ll go and get it." The dyed blonde gets up slowly from his chair, bending his back a little bit, until he hears it crack.

Sighing deeply, he sets his cat-ear headset down, walking past you, dragging his legs like a zombie.

You watch him walk down the hallway towards the kitchen, when he rounds the corner you see his chat still being active, thankfully his Webcam is currently off.

Soon enough, you hear his light foot steps again and this time he has a bowl in his hand and he’s eating while walking.

"Don’t choke." You tease.

"I won’t." He mumbles while eating the noodles.

"Sooo… what are you playing?" You walk in a little bit with him in his room, watching as he sits down again.

"Wocket Leeg." He replies with his mouth full.

"Sounds fun." You lean over his shoulder as you watch and read over the chat.

All of sudden, you see a few names popping up that are mentioning your name, freaking out with excitement that they are hearing a female voice of the roommate of THE Kodzuken.

"They want you to say 'hi'." Finishing up his food, he turns to you with a gleam in his eyes, putting the headset back on.

Squishing your face against his, so you can talk into the mic, you greet his fans which causes a blow up in the chat, people being super hyped to hear you for the first time.

"So uh... what should I say?" You ask Kenma in an intriguing voice, reading the comments as they almost explode at hearing a female's voice and such a beautiful one at that.

"Just say anything, they seem to love you already more than me." Kenma laughs softly.

You laugh along with him, when a comment catches your eye.

Your cheeks begin to heat up in embarrassment and since your cheek is still smushed against his, he can feel the warmth and it makes him blush too.

"No, I am not his girlfriend. Just his roommate, occasionally his chef and also his maid, when he leaves his dirty socks lying around." You laugh and Kenma groans in embarrassment.

The chat explodes yet again, this time with lots of laughing gifs and people sending clapping hands emoji, calling you 'queen' and 'gaming wifey' after you revealed that you play games as well, just not on stream like your roommate.

Kenma drinks his diet coke, when he reads the message after you.

"'Gaming wifey'? That's kinda cute. Am I your gaming wifey?" You grin easily at him and he chokes on his soda.

You and Kenma both read that comment and you look at each other briefly before looking away quickly, an intense blush spread across both of your faces.

Thank goodness the chat can’t see your faces, they’d have a blast.

Coughing a bit, you tell Kenma you need to get back to your studies and he mumbles out a quiet okay.

Leaving the room, the dyed-blonde looks at your retreating figure, getting back to his game and talks to his chat again.

"Well good luck trying to reach her. She doesn’t have any social accounts. But I plan to ask her out, I just hope she’ll say yes…" Kenma says with a big sigh, still calming his heart down from the person that said that they ship the two of you together.

Nonetheless, somehow Kenma got a good feeling that his chances are high.

And how right the former Setter was….

Four months later, Kenma is playing CS:GO on his keyboard, but this time he has a player two joining him.

Said Player Two is sitting in his lap, controlling the keyboard while Kenma controls the mouse.

"Go around the corner, no no the other one."

"Be more specific!"

"Go B."

"Okay."

You press the character to walk forward with his gun, changing the weapon to a sniper rifle.

"Babe, you have to plant the bomb you know?"

"Don’t tell me what to do, I am trying to survive here."

"We will survive by planting the bomb and then shooting off the other team."

"I don’t like conflicts…" You mumble as you get more comfortable in your boyfriend’s lap.

"Baby, I don’t know if you noticed but this is a shooter game. The whole point of playing it, IS to create conflict. We need to kill the other members." Kenma laughs.

"Yeah yeah."

It’s quiet for a few seconds until you spot an enemy of the opposite team and you scream as he starts shooting at you.

"Walk over behind the wall! Press S! Quickly!" Kenma yells and you yell back at him.

"I AM! STOP SCREAMING AT ME! I DON’T WORK WELL UNDER PRESSURE!"

The enemy spots you again and immediately fires at you and kills you.

"This is your fault." You mumble after the defeat.

"How is this my fault?! You’re controlling the movement, I am just shooting!" Kenma says in bewilderment.

The stream is having a blast, the banter and the bickering between the two of you always make the viewers laugh and comment at the behavior of you and Kenma like an old married couple.

“If I die one more time because you guys say some fuck shit, you’re getting banned.”

Kenma’s been on this boss for hours. Well, an hour and twenty three minutes, to be exact, as his recording time so graciously wouldn’t let him forget. In his chat, there’s a flurry of people who backseat him to tell him how to beat the boss (mods will take care of them later, but it’s still obnoxious), people laughing and a few encouraging comments being tacked on with some generous donations.

At this point, he just wants to end the stream and beat it in the focus of his own company.

But he won’t. Because it’s his job or whatever.

“Kenny?” A voice calls: your voice. Kenma softens and turns to the door, ignoring his character as it dies again. “I bought you some munchies since you didn’t answer my text.”

“Hey princess,” he hums, smiling and leaning his head back against the chair. “Sorry i didn’t get back to you, I’m in the fuckin’ thick of it. How was lunch?”

“It was good,” you say, smiling and bending down to kiss his nose. “The girls say hi and that they’ll watch later; whatcha doin’?”

Kenma gives you a groan of exhaustion, “I’m suffering, that’s what. This game is horrifically hard.”

“I told you it would be, Ken.” Despite your ‘I told you so’, he chuckles and puckers his lips out for a proper kiss, which you comply with happily. In your peripheral, chat spams with orange hearts- your designated emoji amongst his fans- and puke faces for the affection you two just shared.

He hums and pulls away softly, “you wanna give it a whirl? Maybe some new eyes will make this shit easier.”

“You’re the gamer in this dynamic babe,” you snort. Despite this, you scoot to the side so he can get up and switch places with you, watching with a smile as you get settled in his oversized chair.

Chat explodes with an absolute inflation of orange hearts, flowing a mile a second, and it makes you smile to be seen in such a positive light, even if this is far from the first time they’ve seen or supported you.

“Hi guys!” You say eagerly, grabbing the controller while he leans over the back of the chair. The chat quickly fills up with words of wisdom and “GOOD LUCKS!” while Kenma plants a kiss to your cheek. “What do I have to do?”

“Basically just beat the boss; I’ve found that kinda breaking the game by rolling behind the boss and then pressing ‘y’ for the super attack is best, but hey. I’ve also been stuck on this boss since you left, so I don’t really know anything.”

“Thanks for the help,” you snort, but with a roll of your shoulders to get comfortable, you take on the task.

And it goes well! For the first few seconds.

Slowly then after, it turned into you running away from the boss and blaming Kenma- in your defense, he likes his buttons to do certain things, it’s different than you are used to!- while all along, trying to roll behind the boss to swing at his back.

It’s very amusing to everyone but you.

“How are you so bad at this?” He cackles, and you quickly try to shush him.

“Shut up!” You giggle, shaking your head. Your character lays a slash of their sword, but the game doesn’t seem to register it- if anything, your character gets the hit.

“No! Fuck!” You cackle out a whine, while behind you Kenma tugs at his hair in amused disbelief.

“Please- dear god, I will buy you a ring right now if you just get one hit on this boss-“

“DONT SAY THAT!” You whine, hands immediately starting to shake as you tap mercilessly on the buttons, cheeks ablaze while the grin on your face refuses to falter.

This, to your distracted dismay, causes chat to explode, taking your already shaky focus and making it somehow less existent.

“Kuroo, not helping!” You whine, cheeks an absolute scorch while all Kenma does behind you is snicker. Traitor.

Between the absolute unsupportive nature of your boyfriend and all eyes of the Internet being on you as you fail over and over again, you finally cave and give up.

With a pout, you plant the controller back on the desk, letting the opponent hit you with its many attacks, all the while your character grunts in pain. You must look like a child, because the next thing you feel is Kenma’s lips against your cheek, and it causes that pout to finally break up. “You did good,” he praises. “It’s a hard boss; I’m glad you tried it.”

“Me too,” you confess. You lean in to give him a proper kiss, laughing into it as Kenma holds his large hand up, as if to shield the affection from his watchful viewers. You part with a nudge of his nose, and when his hand comes down, you lace your fingers with his. “It was fun, but I think I’ll leave the gaming to you.”

“Fair enough,” he chuckles, standing back up to let you slip out of the gaming chair. Your eyes avoid chat, you see all the laughing stickers scrolling though, and you shake your head as your hands reach for the headset.

“Alright chat. Here’s Kodzuken. Hope you enjoyed the interlude.” You push up and out of the chair, letting Kenma slip right in and take your spot. As you turn to leave, you offer him one last call- “oh! When you do buy that engagement ring, I expect no less than 6 karats.”

“Yeah yeah yeah,” he scoffs, watching you leave with a cheesy smile on his face. He turns back to the camera and slips his headset back on, “dummy. Got you one with 10, you think this is my first day?”

Chat once again explodes with excitement while Kenma merely smirks and goes back to his game, looking at the boss with new eyes and the chat focused on something else.

I just know that I’m the mornings, you get up and put the tiny baby on the mound of pillows next to him. She grunts and gurgles, but is otherwise satisfied and happy as you nestle her next to your husband.

You gently press a kiss to his temple, “Maesi is on my pillow,” you murmur, thumb gently stroking his cheek. It’s enough to rouse him slightly without waking him fully.

“Aight,” he yawns, chasing your warmth briefly before curling back into a small ball. You chuckle and gently hook a lock of his hair behind his ear to start breakfast.

A few minutes later, Maesi starts to coo, little huffs and gurgles in her mouth that ring through the air. Kenma grunts and stretches again, finally ready to be awake for the day; he’s not going to complain that the day starts with a kiss from you and waking up next to his baby.

Maesi looks down at him and coos happily. “Sup champ?” He teases, lifting a fist to knock against her small mitten clad hand. “Fist bump.” He makes it explode with a dramatic explosion sound and then a quiet “nice.”

Maesi merely puffs a few giggles and a wide, gummy smile.

Kenma sits up with a massive stretch, eyes twitching and chest grumbling from the force. The rain makes the room cold and dark, exactly the conditions Kenma thrives in, and he scoops his little five month old up and into his arms to cradle her.

“Gonna kiss momma on the mouth for changing you,” he mumbles, kissing her nose and squeezing her softly. “Cleaned up your doodoo shart so I could sleep in. A keeper, that one.”

Maesi merely jams her fist at his nose, and he pretends to knock out from the force, her little gaspy laughter filling the room once again.

you guys are finally married!! what does your life as newlyweds look like? <3

kenma did NOT get up the day after your wedding. and he didn’t let you get up either. you guys cuddled the entire day and then got up at like 6pm to get takeout for your first meal as husband and wife LMAO

that was basically your honeymoon but if you want to actually go somewhere, that’s totally fine <3 he’ll go with you

but his love definitely comes out most in just plain domesticity

and if you guys started living with each other even before getting married, you’ve definitely gotten a taste of that simple life

domesticity with kenma looks like you guys sharing a lot of chores

if he washes the dishes, you put them away and vice versa

and he actually enjoys doing the dishes (maybe slightly just bc you squeal and can’t help but kiss his cheek every time you see him roll up his sleeves and tie his hair back. just maybe)

on the other hand, LAUNDRY is the bane of your guys’ existence which means folding + movie nights are a STAPLE in your household

you both definitely take turns picking out movies while folding clothes or while you mend his old nekoma sweats

laundry makes him feel like years are being taken off his life though. he loves being on stray sock duty (pulling out your giant bag of stray socks and trying to find matches when the pile gets big enough) or sometimes he just ends up cuddling you instead. usually its with his arms wrapped around your waist, and he loves putting his head in your lap

sometimes it gets hard folding laundry when he does that

but you can’t complain, watching a movie and cuddling? suddenly laundry’s not that bad

and he’s just so comfortable and has this crazy effect of always making you feel sleepy that you guys have fallen asleep countless times on the couch

although this also leads to you guys waking up and the most random movies playing most of the time

like the one time you guys woke up to the shining theme playing and literally thought you were about to die (IK I MENTIONED THIS IN COLD KISSES BEFORE BUT IT IS STILL SUCH A FUNNY MEMORY TO ME)

sometimes you guys throw in a blanket while drying your clothes just so that while you’re both folding laundry you can be under a warm blanket too <3

you definitely binged like all the conjuring movies while folding laundry too

my guy cannot be trusted in the kitchen but he will try his very best if you ask him for help

will for sure keep you company in the kitchen no matter what though

is sometimes on music duty or will just play his switch while you’re cooking and you both enjoy the peaceful moment <3

he can also make tea or coffee for both of you while you're cooking!! he's very good at that <3 and definitely helps grab plates when you're both ready to eat

and sometimes gets out of bed early in the morning so he can bring you a cup of tea while you're still waking <3

especially on cold mornings. will 100% get out of bed for you. you're both cold? you want the heater up? okay <3 he'll get out of bed to turn it up before getting straight back into bed and pulling you close, nuzzling his cold face into your warm neck

he’s very good in grocery stores

at pushing the cart.

and holding your grocery list if you really trust him

please don’t leave him he’ll literally go into panic mode and stand in the middle of the bread aisle until you come back

or he’ll do that thing where he walks past every aisle trying to find which one you’re in and then you guys will see each other from opposite ends

to be honest he’s more of a basket guy anyway

like you walk into the grocery store and he's immediately picking up a basket (bc no way is he letting you hold it)

and he likes being there so that whenever you put something in the basket and ask “what’s next on the list?” he can tell you <3 he takes his job as grocery list holder very seriously

also surprisingly good at remembering to bring reusable bags (or will insist on holding everything. he is NOT paying 10¢ for a bag)

he may also sneak a few snacks into the basket/cart (if you forced him to get one) which is always okay <3

dinner looks like him stopping everything to eat with you or inviting you to watch/play with him while you guys eat

so oftentimes you’re curled up at his side, your face nuzzled into his torso to block out the light while he has a small lamp on and an arm resting you, holding you close

You've always known that Kenma is really busy with his volleyball trainings, games and Kuroo. But you never thought it would be this much? At least for the time being. You remember spending way more time with Kenma before, now you don't remember the last time you hung out for more than half an hour. It honestly bothers you quite a lot. But should you tell him? No. You tell yourself. He can't change his training program can he? So you just decided to keep quiet.

You decide to got Kenma's house and wait there while he is still in practice. His mom greeted you at ahe door and you went up to his room. Kenma got there after a bit of time. "Hey, how was training?" "It was alright.." he didn't even bother to answer it properly and just said on his computer to play video games.

This thing continued 'till one day you actually decided to tell him. After he finished practice you were waiting for him outside the gym. He looked shocked to see you there, but didn't complain. You just walked up to him. "Kenma i know you are busy with trainings and everything, but I don't feel like this is working out... Like at all.. i know you are busy and everything, but it's just not fair. I know you probably can't do anything to change it, but i am not really sure how we are going to continue if things stays like this." You said, calmly looking, but in the inside you were really nervous.

"Listen... I know that things have been like this. i will try to keep up, okay?

Yeah well.... This didn't do it. You can't tell if Kenma really tried or he just said it, but either way nothing changed...so you decided to just leave it.

You left a note in Kenma's school locker that you are breaking up with him and left to go home. It probably wasn't the best decision to leave him with a note, but you didn't really wanted to have that explanation that you've already talked about.

The next day at school though while you were walking to your home you felt an arm on your shoulder. "Kenma?" You turned around surprised. Wasn't he supposed to be at training? "Hey, listen i know that I didn't spend a lot of time with you amd it was selfish of me, but i am sorry. I am not gonna play games for about a week and will spend more time with you usually.." He handed you the note back. "Please don't leave."

You agreed and honestly things did changed. You had a little talk with him that day and everything turned out good. About the games...weeeell.... You'll probably have to be a littleeee bit patient?

when you came up to him and begged him to visit the new bar, he didn’t even think about denying you

simply because 1. your face was too cute and 2. you havenT BEEN SPENDING ENOUGH TIME WITH HIM; HE MISSES YOU >:(

so you two went together the following friday

you were vibrating in excitement already,, it was so hard not telling him but you wanted to see his raw reaction 

you two made yourselves comfortable, ordering drinks before you excused yourself

“I have to use the restroom, I’ll be right back, kags” you said, pecking his nose, which obviously made him scoff but he nodded

when the band was announced, you were still not back and he was kind of upset but also kind of worried because??

did you ditch him??

did someone kidnap you??

but he didn’t have enough time to ponder over it because the music soon started

and there you were.

sat behind the drums. 

his eyes nearly popped out of his sockets at the sight. you looked so fucking badass.

as if that wasn’t hot enough, you should’ve seen his face when you took over, playing louder than the singer and bassist, all of the attention now on you

after the little concert was over he immediately walked over to you

he found himself actually enjoying it, especially when it was your turn to steal the spotlight with your skills

after the performance he patiently waited for you to approach him, finally doing so after signing a few autographs

it was 2am.

you were walking to your boyfriend’s house, tears streaming down your face after yet another argument with your mother

this time it was because you never sleep during the night, opting to sleep during the day instead

if only she knew she was the reason you slept the days away.

kenma knew of your mental health

he knew how hard days could get for you and he always tried to be there as much as he could, showing his support in every possible way if it meant it made you feel better. but sometimes, you couldn’t help and shut him out.

he could never break your shell when you got that way, isolating yourself in your own room, not showing any signs of life at all, and it pained him, truly, but all he could do was wait it out until you came to him again.

he still supported you - of course. he texted you every day, reminding you to eat meals, reminding you to brush your teeth and drink water.

sometimes he even stopped by your house to make sure you were still alive - your mother usually being the one to open the door, claiming that “they’re only in bed, no chance of getting to her. being lazy - as usual.”

it irked him to no end.

you weren’t lazy. you were struggling and she was one reason for it.

she was the reason yet she had the guts to talk bad about you.

he usually just dropped off something he wanted to give you, your mother bursting into your room and giving you whatever he brought, but not leaving without starting another argument.

other days, he would (politely) shove past your mother, walking to your room and just laying with you,

no words needed to be exchanged - he already knew. 

but lately, nothing seemed to be stopping you from closing yourself off.

it came to a point where he was truly worried for your health, fearing you didn’t take care of your body as he wished you would

so when he heard the doorbell ring at 2am, he was surprised, but he immediately knew it was you

when he opened the door, only to reveal you, who had been obviously crying a lot, judging by the red and puffy eyes, his gaze softened and he immediately pulled you inside the warmth of his home, away from the dangers the outside world held.

 you immediately broke down crying when he pulled you into a warm hug

“-kenma, what do i do?...” you cried out

he sighed softly, patting the top of your head gently 

“tell me what’s on your mind, angel? only then can i try to help.” he spoke softly, guiding you towards his room, pulling you down on the bed when you arrived, once again wrapping his arms around you 

“i just.. i feel so h-hopeless? lately, i have no motivation to get out of bed because my mother strikes up a fight every time she sees me- all i want to do is sleep.. i’m awake at night, wondering where i went wrong and why i don’t deserve a loving mother too, i sleep during the day only for my mom to wake me up at 6pm to yell at me about how lazy i am-” you stopped, a sob ripping through your lungs

kenma raked his fingers through your hair, letting you know he was listening, giving you the space to speak when ready

“a-and school work’s been piling up.. i think i’m failing most of my classes, but i’m scared to check.. i do-n’t remember the last time i checked my assignments.. all i do is cry all day, i don-’t even eat anymore, i just can’t get up to eat..”

he sighed softly, hand reaching to wipe at your tears 

“y/n, i need you to listen to me carefully. i know how hard it is - and i promise you deserve a loving mother too, it breaks my heart to see you suffer because of her.. but you can’t listen to what she says. as hard as it sounds, you’re not required to keep anyone in your life, even if it’s your mother. you’re allowed to cut her off - of course, it’s a bit hard right now, considering you still live with her, but until then, i’ll need you to stay strong for me and not let yourself get teared down by her harsh words and actions, ok? you’re so much more worth than what she makes you think. as hard as it is, i’ll be here with you, supporting you through whatever stones life throws at you. you will not feel like this forever, pain is temporary, as for your school work.. i can try and help you get back on track, but grades do not define your self-worth so don’t feel like you failed, you need to prioritise your mental health over your grades. i will be here to help you get back up on your feet and i’m happy to be, i’ll teach you how to love yourself, and it’ll be a long way, but you can do it, alright? i’ll forever be here, y/n, i love you.”

he then pulled you up to him, tugging you in a gentle kiss full of love

after he pulled away, he stood up, leaving the room, only to return with a glass of water and some snacks, smiling at you

you sniffled, also smiling

“thank you so much, kenma. i love you”

he shook his head, laying down beside you again 

“think you can stay over for a few days?”

you smiled softly, shrugging “probably, just need to get my stuff.”

just like that, kenma brought back the light that was slowly diminishing in your life, and for the first time in a long time you felt hopeful.

You were smiling at him. He was over at your house, and after a few snacks, you had taken him to your bedroom to play some games.

"We won!" you exclaim as you tackle him in a hug. Kenma hums in reply.

There was a literal fire burning in your eyes as you queued up another game, "Let's play another one,"

After many games though, he felt himself getting a bit frustrated. You weren't giving him much attention. He smirks as he leans back and vows to win this round. Hours had passed by, and the house was asleep, you guys being the exception.

He was getting a little bored.

The end card shows up once more, and you whirl to face him, raising your hand up for a high five. He looks at your hand, then at your face. He raises his hand just a little bit.

"Kenma..." you whine, but as he thought, you shuffle forward to reach his hand.

"Sorry, I'm feeling a bit lazy," he replies.

As you reach his hand, he grabs it and yanks. You let out a startled gasp and fall onto his chest. He presses a few buttons on his controller before the game shuts off.

The both of you shift until you're sitting between his knees, facing him, pouting. Absentmindedly, his hands go to your hips, slipping under your sleeping shirt to trace small circles on your skin.

"We had a streak! What's wrong Ken-" You stop mid-sentence as he leans forward, placing his forehead on yours. Moonlight streams through your window, and you look up at him. He thinks you look very pretty. Kenma says as much, nuzzling his nose against your cheek.

He feels you huff in annoyance, but you don’t push him away. He pulls you closer, kissing your cheeks before backing up just enough to kiss the tip of your nose.

He smiles as your pout melts away.

But he notices the way your eyes flicker down to his lips.

“You want something?” He knows he’s being a little mean, but he justifies it with the goosebumps that rise under his finger tips.

Kenma chuckles before grabbing and kissing you. Your hands fly to his shirt, and he looks at you through hooded eyes. You kiss him back, and he can’t help to smirk at how flustered you get.

Breaking the kiss, you turn away and lay down on the bed. He can’t help but think you look a little drunk. Coming up behind you, he balances himself on his hands as he kisses your neck.

“G-go to sleep, Kenma” You say as you turn to push him down.

He pouts in return, but you’re already pulling the covers up and snuggling into him. Kenma kisses you again before finally grabbing you and closing his eyes.

The last thing he sees is you smiling at him.
