[ Day 2]

Yesterday was pretty fun honestly. I woke up and checked my phone and saw two missed calls from Gyu and some texts too. I opened them.

Mingyu : hey y/n why aren’t you picking up

Are you sleeping?

Are you coming today?

When are you coming?

Aaaaa why aren’t you waking up!!!!

I smiled seeing him whining I quickly texted him that I was going and started getting ready. I picked out a pretty dress for today. I usually don’t wear dresses but I don’t know why I wanted to get ready. It took me around 50 minutes to get ready and then I left. I grabbed my coffee as regular and reached my uni. To my surprise Mingyu was waiting in front of the gate. When he saw me he rushed to me with a big smile.

“Why are you so late I was waiting for you so long? And why don’t you answer your phone, I wanted to ask you actually to go and pick you up”, he stopped cause he was breathless after speaking so much without a break. I giggled how someone can be this cute.

He spoke again, “Did anyone said how pretty you are?”

His sudden compliment kind of made me choke on air. I was looking at him speechless.

“ Aigooooo you are cute when you are surprised”, he said and patted my hair. I blushed and looked down. He continued,” by the way let’s go everyone is waiting”.

“Yeah sure let’s go”, I said and started walking hastily. One more day and then he will be gone and my bright days will end too. I will once again get into those gloomy days. We reached others and they too complimented my dress and then we planned out how to enjoy the day. Since everyone has different choices we decided to split into 4 teams so we can all enjoy comfortably.

Cheol, Jeonghan and Jun decided to go and try different games.

DK, Dino, Woozi and Hoshi decided to go watch those dance performances and other cultural events.

Wonwoo and Vernon decided to visit the video game parlour.

Seungkwan, Minghao , me and Mingyu decided on trying out different food and attend the literary fest.

So everyone went their own way and we went ours. The first place we went to was a great sushi stall and we enjoyed there a lot. We started roaming randomly and teased each other a lot. And then we all ganged up and teased Mingyu. It was literally my best day. Like yesterday Mingyu didn’t left me for a moment.

When we were sitting at a pizza place some guys kind of were staring at me so Mingyu got off and moved his chair so they can’t see. I wish all guys were like him. I tried to not think like that or else I would get hurt. Our pizza arrived and we started to eat. And suddenly Minghao spoke up, “Well kwan have you noticed anything?”

Seungkwan was surprised and replied, “ what hyung?”

Minghao smirked and we all looked at each other when he spoke again, “That Mingyu is being a little more active these days and he woke up today without even calling him and got ready first”. He looked at Mingyu who for no reason started stuffing his mouth and avoided Minghao.

Seungkwan replied, “ yeah I too am noticing him he is even smiling to himself and is humming all day-“ . He was stopped when mingyu pushed a pizza slice in his mouth and spoke” Yah why are you lying like this”, he turned to me and said,” y/n don’t listen to them they are speaking gibbereish”.

“ yeah yeah y/n don’t listen to us only listen to him”, Minghao teased and continued eating.

I looked at Mingyu who was pretty flustered and avoided my eyes. I too ignored them and continued eating. I don’t want to involve myself much or else it might turn worse for me.

They keep teasing Mingyu about being in love and thinking about some girl. All I did was eating and smiling from time to time.

After we completed we decided to return. Seungkwan was still teasing Mingyu so they were kind of walking a bit ahead and I and Minghao were walking behind them.

Minghao spoke,” y/n can I ask you something?”.

I was a bit shocked like what he wants to ask and then I nodded.

“Do you like anyone?”, he said looking at me.

What was this question,” umm depends why you are asking”, I replied.

“Nothing I am just kind of curious”, he said.

“Yep and nope”, I said.

“What “, he asked confused.

“Yes I like someone but it doesn’t matter”, I said looking down.

“Why doesn’t it matter”, he asked again.

What’s with him? Why is he curious about my love life? I spoke again,” Because nothing’s gonna happen between us”.

“How can you say this without even talking to him, maybe he likes you too”, he said it matter of factly.

“Umm I am not that brave and I am kind of sure too and also I don’t want him to bring into the darkness I am in”, I smiled.

“Maybe he will take you out of the darkness”, he said and patted my back. And then we were kind of interrupted by Hoshi. Who literally jumped on Minghao and spoke,” umm hmm what’s going on between you two”. He teased and then rushed to the others and then started telling others that I and Minghao are dating.

Everyone started to tease us and when we deny no one trust us.

Jun said,” I knew this they were together since yesterday, talking and smiling”.

Jeonghan came to me and said,” Aaaaaa y/n I thought you would choose me”. He pouted and I replied, “It’s nothing like that and we are not dating”.

Dino interrupted again,” Liar, I know I saw you today too you both were walking behind so you could spend time together”.

Minghao spoke up again, “Guys you are misunderstanding we are not dating. I swear”.

Everyone still didn’t listen to us and kept teasing. And my eyes started searching for Mingyu who was not there. It was kind of weird because he never left me alone for a moment till now. Where is he?

I was searching when Cheol came to me and said, “Mingyu is there sitting in that bench, go” , he pointed me where Mingyu was seating.

“Thank you “, I spoke and left.

He was deep in thoughts when I reached, he didn’t even realized my presence until I spoke up.

“Mingyu , you alright?”, I asked putting a hand in his shoulder.

“Yeah yeah I am cool, what are you doing here?”, he spoke with a trembling voice. I felt worried as in what happened to this guy suddenly.

I was done with the journals I had to read for my seminar, I kept everything on my desk and was about to sleep. I checked the time, it 11:55pm, I sighed I wanted to sleep early today, I am so tired. I switched off all the lights and kept my phone. I just closed my eyes, and my phone started ringing, and I saw my bestfriend, no matter how much I wanted to pick up and talk to her but I had no strength at all and why is she suddenly calling me at almost…….. 12 am? after it stopped ringing, I switched off my phone and slept.

I heard the birds chirping and the sunlight was peaking at me, I stretched my body and looked at the time, it was 10:30 am I slept for too long, thank god, I don’t have classes today. I got freshen up and switched on my phone. I went to kitchen thinking what to cook today, I was thinking if I could take a day off from sns today, sometimes I just get a headache, it’s better off the way I get inactive from everywhere and ghost people, of course except him. If I ghost him, he will get so worried, I don’t want him to get worried because of me, I started playing songs and saw messages from my bestfriend were coming, I decided to see it later and started making toast, I was craving for omelets today. After making toast, I switched on the tv and sat with my breakfast, my phone started ringing. I looked at the caller id and it was him, looking at his name, it already made me feel happy and better.

I picked it up “Hello~”

“Good morning mingyu”

“Aww good morning baby, what are you doing?”

“Just made breakfast, I woke up a bit late, and I finally completed half journals”

“That’s a good thing, I am coming home, just wanted to check if you’re up or not since it’s a off day. Also we will go out for lunch today, and I don’t want to hear a ‘NO’, okay?”

He never makes sudden plans, I started eating my beloved toast. After completing my breakfast, I kept my phone on the table and went to do the dishes. I was wondering about Mingyu, he sounded so excited, am I missing something or he just wants to go on a date? But why didn’t he tell me about a date earlier? He could’ve informed me earlier, at least I could’ve picked a good dress, now its gonna take forever to pick a dress and he just wants to go out for lunch? Nothing else? I was so into his thoughts, suddenly I heard the doorbell ring. I wiped my hands, since they were wet and went to open the door.

“But-

“I am hanging up, I love you”

There he was standing, holding a big bouquet full of red roses. He looked so soft today, he was wearing a black tee and a coat, he just looked perfect.

I was surprised at this, I took the bouquet from him and hugged him tight, he’s my comfort. “Awww did you miss me?” I nodded in his embrace, I did miss him, yesterday was so tough and hectic for me, our teachers are way too much, they gave us 100-150 journals to complete in two days and we need to study all of them, make presentations and then present it in the seminar and unluckily I am the first one to do, it’s day after tomorrow and I was stressing way too much yesterday, who knew being a post grad student will be this hard; I wanted his comfort yesterday so much, he is that one person who calms me down. Thinking how I had a tough day yesterday I hugged him tighter, he was caressing my back.

“I’m here, now. Let’s go inside” I looked at him and came inside, we sat on the couch, I kept the bouquet on the table, “Thankyou so much for these roses” I smiled at him, he pulled me and made me sit beside him. His sudden moves make my heart beat like crazy, I was so flustered. I was looking at him unable to utter a single word, his fingers traced my cheeks, he was looking at me with those eyes full of love, those lovely eyes which makes me fall in love over and over. He have something, which I can’t deny, I wonder how did this fine boy became mine, it’s our third year dating together and I always ask myself, how did he became mine?

“Ming-

He didn’t let me even finish and kissed me, his soft lips touched mine. It’s not even our first kiss but everytime we kiss, those fluttering feelings stays the same, those butterflies going wild inside me and the soft touch on my lips, calms me down. His soft lips pressed against mine, I closed my eyes and he pulled me closer.

He left me after few seconds, his hand was still on my cheeks, I was looking down, “You know you should actually take some time off, and rest a bit, look at you getting all stressed over everything. I wanted to come yesterday night, when I read your text about that seminar but I couldn’t come because of some work and the assignments I had” I looked at him and hugged him again, “It’s okay, you being here is one of my biggest comfort and I can’t take time off Mingyu, I have to complete the presentation” he was holding my shoulder.

“Oh right, you wanted to take me out for lunch today? Suddenly? Why didn’t you tell me earlier, now I have to find something to wear, it will take a bit of time” I looked at him with my puppy eyes.

“Reminds me, just a second” he got up from the couch, I looked at him, confused, since my warmth was gone, “Where are you going Mingyu?”

“Wait here for a second Aki, you ask too many questions” I eyed him and I saw him going out of my house, my eyes were glued on the door, because I wanted him to come fast, I wanted to spend some time with me, it feels like one of those days where I just crave for his warmth.

I saw him coming with a bag, if I am not wrong, it’s a shopping bag, I was eyeing him. He came to me, “Here, wear this today.” He gave the bag to me, I looked at him weirdly, what’s with this sudden gift? Valentine’s day is already over

“A gift? But why”

I took out the dress, which was inside the bag, it was a pretty white-baby blue dress, it had white dandelions on the dress. I quickly went to change. After changing, I saw the time, he was right it was almost lunch time and he being kim mingyu, he will never mess up his eating timing and won’t let me mess up mine, he always reminds me to eat my meals whenever I forget, which is very common thing between us.  

“Do I need a reason to gift you something? I can do it whenever I want” he leaned closed and pecked my lips. He caught me off guard. “You don’t but…”

“Oh come on, now Aki, go try and we can go out, because it’s almost lunch time, you woke up late doesn’t mean lunch time will wait for you, I am very strict with your eating habits, you’re literally a girl who skips lunch, sometimes breakfast. So, go get changed” his lovely eyes changed to those fake angry and strict eyes, god, look at him. I took the bag and went back to my room, locked it.

I applied very light make up and applied lip tint carefully, looking at the mirror I was thinking about Mingyu, how he always spoils me with everything, takes care of him everytime. I don’t usually hug people but him, his hugs are comforting. I let my hair down and used a bit of perfume, I smiled looking at the mirror. I took my sling bag, wallet and went down, my phone must be downstairs, I remember keeping it on the table before eating breakfast.

I went to the living room and saw him playing with his phone, I walked towards him, he stopped playing games and looked at me, he looked, surprised?

“What happened? I don’t look good?” I asked him and twirled around to show him the pretty dress, he got up from the couch and kissed my forehead, I was surprised “you look perfect my love. Just don’t let anyone steal you from me” I laughed at his words, “Who will steal?”

“Well, we don’t know there are men and I don’t want anyone to take you away from mine” and he again kissed my cheeks, he was just kissing me today everytime he got a chance. He held my hand and we went towards the door, he looked lovely, I locked the door and walked towards his car.

He opened the door and I got in, and he got in to the driver’s seat. “You look really pretty today” I smiled at him, “Awwww” he pinched my cheeks, I slapped his hand away “Don’t do this!”

“I can’t help it, you look so cute and pretty” he just loves to make me smile, blush and annoy me sometimes. “Now let’s go” he said and started driving, he turned on some music, the soft songs which made the atmosphere really very calm and soothing. I was looking outside, the month of February is really beautiful, it feels like the season of love everywhere. The weather looking perfect, cozy and comforting, and feels best when you’re with your loved ones. The sprinkle of love makes everything better, feels like the love is in the air.

Speaking of love, it fills my mind with the idea of Mingyu, yes him. The one I love, and will love till the world ends, I don’t want to watch the world end with someone else, it was the month of February when I actually started realizing slowly that what we had between us was getting more than friendship, how we started caring about eachother a bit more, started finding comfort in eachother, I don’t think I can even lie saying he isn’t my home, he is my home. Saying that a person is their home, means a very big thing, he is that person to me. never thought things would take to me a such a beautiful ending of friendship and starting of such a beautiful thing. I feel at peace knowing he’s with me.

“What are you thinking love?” I snapped out of my mind, “Huh?”

“You look like you’re thinking something and you smiled at times,”

“I was… thinking about…. Us… how… everything…” he suddenly kissed me, my eyes widen at his sudden move, after he moved back I looked outside and sighed. “What did you think? I would kiss you while driving?”

“YOU” he started laughing so bad, I am so done with this guy. “Sometimes you think too much about us, now let’s go and have lunch, we already reached.” I opened the door and came outside, wind blew and I shivered, I realized I forgot to bring my coat, which I kept on my bed. I felt something warm on me, I looked at him, he covered me with a coat, “you left it at my house last time you visited” I remembered, I hurriedly went for my class as soon as I completed eating, that night was a mess as well as comforting, I was so stressed that day but he brought me home and we spent time together, I studied for the exam, which was scheduled next day; after I felt a bit better and of course overslept, that’s why I had to hurry.

“Thankyou” he held my hand “Now let’s go” and we went inside, he already reserved tables for us.

 Lunch went pretty good, I forgot all the worries, I was lost in him, he looked so pretty, his bangs looked so pretty and fluffy, how did god give me someone so beautiful and perfect? We went out of the restaurant holding hands, everything felt so perfect.

I got inside the car, he did the same “Aki” I looked at him after he called out my name. “Be happy today” his words felt so genuine to me, he smiled at me, that pure and genuine smile which makes me believe in love and humanity.

“I am happy, mingyu all thanks to you” I cupped his face and placed a small kiss on his lips, “Thankyou for making me feel loved and happy”

“The real fun is waiting for you” I looked puzzled, did he just plan this whole day out yesterday night or something? “huh?”

“Just wait” and he started driving, and played music, I was searching for my phone, “Mingyu, did you see my phone?”

“yes”

“Where is it?”

“You won’t need it, don’t worry, just enjoy today” he was driving and soft music was making me fall asleep, I was looking outside until I realized I drifted to my dreamland.

“On the table”

“WHAT? At home? why are you telling me this NOW?” I forgot to bring my phone, and I didn’t even notice, it’s all his fault for making me so into him. I forget things when I see him infornt of him.

“wake up, we reached” “aki, aki” “baby wake up” I heard his voice and light shake on my body, I opened my eyes slowly, I looked outside, it was evening but sun didn’t set yet, means we can see the sunset together. “Where are we mingyu?” I asked him, unable to recognize this place, maybe because I just woke up.

“Come out first” I unbuckled my seat belt and came out, just to see BEACH infront of me, I was amazed. I walked towards the beach a bit, and stopped, he came to stand beside me, “did you like it?”

“OH MY GOD MINGYU, BEACH?? REALLY? I LOVE IT” I looked at him and hugged him tight, “I love it!!! So much!!” I let go of him and started running towards the water, “come mingyu run!” he was running after me, “Just wait, I will catch you!” I teased him and ran away, he was coming after me. I was about to run towards the water and I felt someone pull me by my waist “Ah” and the next moment I knew was I was in Mingyu’s arms, “What did I tell you?” he smirked, “Put me down!”

“No, I won’t, do you want me drop you in the water?” he walked forward, I looked down, his feet were visible under water, “NOOO” and he started laughing. He let me down, “Just stay here” he told me, I held his hand, “Mingyu please let’s watch the sunset together?” I requested him, I really wanted to be carefree today when I can be and I wanted to see the sunset with him.

“Yes, I will, that’s why wait a second, I will be back fast” and he ran away towards his car, I was looking at the sea, the tides were coming, yet it felt so peaceful, all I could hear was the sounds of the waves. The sun and the sky were doing a perfect job together today, it was mesmerizing.

“Love, turn around” I heard his voice and turned around, the moment I did, my jaw dropped. He was holding, a big bouquet of roses, full of red, cream and pink roses they looked so pretty.

“Happy Birthday love” and he extended his hand to give me the bouquet. I accepted the bouquet and it then clicked my mind, I forgot my birthday, “You forgot your birthday so I thought to make it a bit special for you, did you like it?” I was feeling so loved, I nodded “Thank you so much” he stepped closer, “look at the sun, it looks so pretty and you look ethereal today love. You’re one of the best thing happened to me, you’re that one person who completes me, there’s no song without you. I am all about you, thankyou for being born love, I just wanted to make you feel special, looking at you, I always want to love you more, protect you, make you feel comforted and want you to know you’re special, and there’s no one like you. I am always proud of you for who you are, you are my everything. I never regretted ‘just friends’ to ‘lovers’ because you mean everything to me. stay the way you are, you smile heals me. Once again happy birthday love, and I love you.” His words made me overwhelmed, the sunlight hitting his face and making him look beautiful, sunset and him. He took one more step, and leaned closer “Thank you so much Mingyu for completing my world, I love you”

“I love you” and he lifted my chin and kissed me. My hands went to his neck and his resting on my waist, no matter how many times I say him I love him, it still feels less, this guy right here is a blessing to me and I love him more than anything else.

We parted, and he looked at me, “Thankyou for being born” and he smiled at me.

I woke up to the sound of gunshot again. This is kind of normal right now. Since the day I married him my life has been turned to hell. But sadly I can't even escape it. It is my reality now. I got up and went to the shower and came back as soon as possible. When I opened the door of the shower I felt another person’s presence there already and it felt creepy at this point.

I knew where the gun was. He always made sure I remembered that. And fortunately with my short term memory I still do remember. I was walking on my toes so that I wouldn't alarm the stranger but I felt two strong arms wrapping me up from behind. I tried all the techniques to free myself from that man but to no avail. I even tried to scream but he closed my mouth and then he made me unconscious.

When I woke up I was tied in a chair but I was still in my room. My head was hurting like it would burst but fortunately it didn’t. I looked around and saw two men wearing all black and also had their masks on. So it was hard to recognize not that i can know any of his enemies. I knew someday this might happen to me but never knew this would happen so soon. I wish someone would save me. To be honest I don't even know whether he will know where I am and will come to rescue me?

I was getting sleepy when someone splashed water and that literally woke me up, “ where is your husband?” one of the masked men screamed. “ How could I know when you tied me up like this early in the morning?”I spat at him.

“ girl talk nice, you are in no condition to talk back like this right now”, the other one spoke.

“exactly , don’t you know what would happen to you if you won’t obey?”, the first man said.

I smirked and then replied, “ and don’t you know what would happen to both of you when my husband will find you”. The second man came closer to me and held my chin tightly and made me face him, “ trust me girl your man won’t last a minute when he will meet us”, he slapped me hard and then continued, “ and then you will regret this the rest of your life”.

“I don’t think that will happen because i have known him for the last three years and boy oh boy I pity you both”, I said back and as soon as those words left my mouth i again got slapped and this time a bit a little harder. This time my lip swelled up and blood trickled down.The man came and pushed down a large piece of cloth in my mouth, “ I hope now we will have some peace without hearing your annoying voice”.

I was still struggling to speak or get free when the door flew and then my eyes landed on his. He was angry, like really angry as if he would burn the entire place. He shot the man as soon as he entered, “ now you won’t even be able to hear your annoying voice”. He shouted.

He rushed to me when two of his bodyguards came and tied up those masked men. Mingyu walked to me and opened the cloth out of my mouth and touched my face as gently as possible as if it was the most fragile thing. He then looked up at me and saw tears in my eyes. He got up immediately and shot one of the man’s legs, “ Who dared to touch my wife?”, he literally growled this time. The men were whimpering and were unable to speak by then, who were getting beaten up severely that the structure of their face had changed and was all bloodied. He repeated again, “ WHO THE FUCK DARED TO TOUCH MY WIFE?”.

No one answered and all I heard then were 4 gunshots and then he ordered, “ Take the bodies and dump them in the dumpster. These trash bags should be eaten by stray dogs.” Both his men rushed and dragged the bodies when these words left his mouth instantly.

[time skip]

After ending the chaos and everyone left, Mingyu cleaned my wounds. I looked at his eyes and I had never seen them being so sad. He was so arrogant and strong and now seeing him this heartbroken and sad is shattering something inside me, “ I am sorry I shouldn't have left you alone here”, he said, eyes fixed on my wounds. His face was so close to mine I could feel his warm breaths right now, “ For me your life is constantly in danger”. It seemed like he was guilty and was resenting himself. This is the closest I have gone to him. I never thought I would fall for this man after marrying forcefully to him. But something inside me is changing because the man I am seeing is not the same as I was married to.

After he got up, my instincts made me pull his hands and he flopped down beside me. He was surprised at my act. We never exchanged such emotions and this is the first time. I can feel how nervous he is. I giggled, “ Someone is about to cry it seems” I teased his hairs.

“ What?”, he spoke as softly as possible. He changed his side to face me. His hand touched my face and the next thing I knew was his soft lips brushed my cheeks. He pulled his face away and looked at my shocked face. And then he spoke, “ I can't let anything happen to you, not even a scratch. Whatever happened today is the last.If someone touches you I will burn everything down to ashes”. He then pulled me closer and kissed me. That one kiss made emotions burn inside me and I kissed him back that fiercely.

[ Next day]

I woke up when the sunlight fell on my eyes and something felt heavy on me and when I opened my eyes properly I saw Mingyu without his shirt but as far i remember he had it on when we went to sleep. He had wrapped his arm around me like he was holding me. Instead of getting up instantly I stayed there for a while to gaze at his gorgeous beauty. He looks so rough and fierce but now watching him sleeping so calmly, his breath being in perfect rhythm, I feel like I can spend an eternity and more with him. I touched his arms then his face and was playing with his hairs when he woke up, “ Good morning darling”, he said in a raspy voice.

I kissed her forehead, “you know I am so happy” and tugged her hair strands falling on her face, she was facing me. “I love you so much” she smiled and held my hand which was resting on her cheeks, “I love you too, that’s why don’t worry too much, your mum will be here from today and you can go and live in dorms for few days. I know it will be a bit hard but, you know I am strong and I will never come in between your work life mingyu, never” I kissed her again.

“You need to call me, if anything happens, I will come running to you,” she nodded in my embrace. she took my hand, which was on her cheeks to her stomach, the bump, I could feel it “baby’s happy mingyu, so don’t worry too much”

“your due date is this week, and I’ve concert for two days this week, I won’t be able to take care of you” I was feeling sorry towards her, because of the concert, I have to go back to dorm, because of the tight schedule and since last two weeks I could barely be with her, thanks to my sister, who was here and my mum will be coming here tomorrow. During these weeks I couldn’t be with her, I can’t do anything because of the tight schedule and she understands it. I want to give her all the love, and happiness and of course to our precious baby.

“thank you so much for everything Emmi” I kissed her,

“Mingyu, you are with me, I can never ask for anything more, I know you’re busy but you are taking care of me, all these days, you took care of my weird cravings, my rants, my neverending mood swings and everything, how can I thank you enough.” She looked at me with her lovely eyes, “love, that’s my job, to take care of you. There’s a part of me inside you, and you’re my responsibility” I pecked her. She smiled at me again, “now get some sleep, I will have to go early morning tomorrow” she nodded and we cuddled all night.

They never shout like this. I drank water and got up, “what happened myungho” I was about to walk out of the room, and felt a tight hug. I was surprised for a second, what happened to him.

“Where is your phone?” he released me and asked me, “I don’t know, what’s wrong??” I panicked, I had no idea what’s going on, everyone in the room got tensed and Myungho was not saying a single thing to me. I started searching for my phone, “call me anyone,” “I am trying, and I think it’s on silent or DND mingyu” Woozi hyung said, I was about to throw my hands, everyone started searching for my phone. “Mingyu calm down” I heard Shua hyung, “I AM TRYING”

“Mingyu hyung your phone was in the bag” Dino, handed me the phone, I unlocked it quickly. I saw 10 missed calls from my sister, 5 from my mum and 15 missed calls from Emmi. I was getting tense, I have no idea, I walked towards Myungho, “why were you searching for me?” and showed him my phone

“CONGRATULATIONS MINGYU, YOU’RE A DAD” I froze, the moment I heard his voice, I couldn’t heard anything else, I felt like I was dreaming. “your sister called me from Emmi’s phone, since you weren’t picking up the call, she called me just before we did our ending-ment and I was trying to tell you since then but being the big boy you’re, god”

“OF COURSE, WHY WOULD I LIE IDIOT” he laughed and I hugged him tight, everyone in my room, congratulated me. “Mingyu go, and check on them, we will go and meet you two, wait not two anymore, your family consists of three members right now, so we will go and meet you three soon, send the name of the hospital in the group” Seungcheol said, I nodded and called my sister’s number. She picked up after two rings

“Send me the name of the hospital I’m coming” I cut her off, and looked at the members “I am going guys” I took my bag

“Mingyu” Dokyeom called me, I looked back at him, he threw a t-shirt at me, “change into this in the car and meet them, they definitely don’t want to smell your sweat” everyone started laughing, I took the shirt and I started running out of the room

“sent, you check and come fast, your wife is missing you way too much ” I nodded and hung up. I told my manager, and he told me, he will drop me.

I got into the car, and showed the address to my manager, I quickly changed my tee to the one Dokyeom gave. I can’t stay still; I feel so happy. I looked at my lockscreen, it was our picture, Emi and me, I can’t believe a new member will be joining us, from today. I want to see the little baby, I wonder how would I feel to hold the baby in my arms.

After a good twenty minutes, our manager stopped the car, “Mingyu we are here”

“Thankyou so much, and please don’t wait for me. I need to go now thankyou hyung” I got out of the car, and went inside the hospital running. I wore the mask and ran towards the reception. “Mrs Kim Emmi”

“just a second sir” she paused for a second, “ward no 505, fourth floor” and then she looked at me, probably she recognized me, “congratulations sir” and smiled at me. “thankyou”

I went to the elevator and I couldn’t wait to reach fourth floor. The elevator door opened and ran out of it, I was checking the numbers one after one. Then I saw 503, I slowed down my pace and walked ahead, 504, and then I saw the name below the 505 ‘kim emmi’

I opened the door and removed the mask from my face. I saw Emmi, holding a baby, mum, sister and doctor. I walked towards the doctor, “Congratulations Mingyu, you’ve a baby daughter now and both of them are safe.” He patted my shoulder, I didn’t realize my tears were falling. “Now please excuse me” and the doctor walked away, “we will be outside, so take your time” I heard my sister and then they left.

“Mingyu….” I heard the soft lovely voice calling out my name, I walked to her, there see was on the bed, sitting and holding the our baby daughter. I wiped my tears, “Mingyu… you are a dad now” I kissed her forehead and closed my eyes. I sat on the stool, near her. “She’s so pretty” I looked at her, “I am so proud of you Emmi, thankyou Emmi, for everything, I love you” I saw her getting teary, and my tears were threating to fall. I told myself I won’t cry but, how could not I? my whole universe is infront of my eyes, right now.

“What should we name her, she have your eyes, and smile, mingyu”

“Scarlet, we can call her Scarlet, looking at her, she gives me joy and reminds of passion and courage. I want to call her Scarlet” I told her, Emmi kissed her, “okay Scarlet, daddy named you” Scarlet giggled at her, I couldn’t be happier.

“Mingyu, try and hold her. She missed you” Emmi started crying, “Shhh, love don’t cry” I wiped her tears. I tired taking Scarlet from her embrace, carefully. “aww come to daddy, love” and held her in my embrace. she looked so pretty and soft, “she’s so pretty Emmi, just like you” I looked at her.

I looked at Scarlet, my tears fell, I was holding back, but they finally fell. I couldn’t be happier than this, this is my happiness.

I turned to look at Emmi, “I love you so much Emmi”, she smiled “I love you more Mingyu”.
