The Sojourn Series
The whole series began with Matryoshka, what was originally a one-shot A/B/O dynamic study with some tasty smut. The response I got was overwhelmingly positive and I found myself far from finished with the three of them anyway. So into an ongoing series I went!

The adorable little cinnamon roll Mishima stole my heart, I wanted to see more of him. I also loooove me that Daddy Iwai. So I said both. Both is good.

Mishima expects the worst when he's introduced to the alpha owner, Iwai, but the older man proves to be far from the omega's opinions of a typical Alpha. The two omegas share their stories, and eventually, due to extended proximity, their heats, growing closer. Iwai gets dragged into the mix by a sneaky move on Mishima's part, to show his thanks for their gentle care. But can he overcome all the pain and mistrust in his heart, and let someone in? Or someoneS?
~Excerpt~
“So listen kid, I get the feeling you ain’t used to a damn dirty adult bein’ nice to ya-let alone an alpha,” Iwai looked directly at Mishima, but was careful to avoid complete eye contact, knowing the poor omega wouldn’t be able to stand too much scrutiny in the current state he was in. “Believe me or don’t, but I ain’t layin’ a finger on ya. This place is safe, there’s only two ways in or out and the Brat here knows ‘em. S’fully stocked for an omega’s heat, enough to last ya and keep ya goin’ through the worst and the best of it. You got a phone?”
Mishima held back the squeak that bubbled up from him at the sudden question, nodding and reaching for his pocket.
“Good, number to the omega Outreach an’ the local clinic are right here,” the gun merchant rapped a knuckle against a laminated piece of printed paper next to the doorway. “You need help, you call em. My direct phone line is there too.” Iwai’s gaze swung to Akira, who was busily pulling blanket after blanket from the dresser by the window. “You got the Brat here to give you the good tour. Any questions?”
Mishima was squirming where he sat, aware of the slick ruining his uniform pants as it seeped, and the sweat trickling down his...everywhere. It was getting harder to focus on anything other than the fact that there was an alpha in the room. “I...haa...uhm...How...how long do I have to stay?”
Iwai’s eyebrows shot up in surprise, and his eyes darted to shoot Akira a scowl before resting on Mishima again. “However long ya need, kid. I ain’t runnin’ a prison or anythin’.” He crossed his arms over his chest. “With as bad as you’re lookin’ though, I’d at least give it the night. S’gettin’ dark already and Shibuya ain’t the kinda place you wanna be this time of the month.”
The older man wasn’t entirely sure how much had actually gotten through to the newcomer-his eyes were going glassy, and they weren’t looking anywhere but at him. alpha fixation. Definitely time to go. He glanced at Akira, who gave a slight nod in agreement, then turned to leave.
“Why?”
Iwai stopped, but didn’t look back, unsure if he could stand to see the confusion, and struggle, and pain that he already heard in the teen’s voice.
“Because not all alphas are bastards, kid. But a fuckin’ lot of ‘em are.”

The older man smirked. “Let’s start with the basics. You ever cooked before?”
Bright eyes blinked in surprise, and his mouth stepped out well before his brain could catch it. “Of course I have!”
Using a microwave to reheat meals counted.
It did .
He knew what was expected of him. Omegas were supposed to be domestic . Cooking, cleaning, babies on their hips...the whole picture. It wasn’t that he was opposed to any of that, he just...well. He was himself, and that meant that he was entirely capable of lighting toast on fire if left to his own devices for extended periods of time. His parents were planning on sending him to one of those omega home ec cram schools as soon as he got a little older, to try and make him more marketable.
“I cook all the time,” Mishima swallowed thickly around the blatant half truth that scalded on its way out. He glanced up into Iwai’s eyes for a moment then cut his eyes to the counter.
Iwai cocked an eyebrow, tasting the anxiety pouring from the kid like a fountain, watching the way he refused to meet his gaze. Far be it for him to rake him over the coals for this. “Alright, alright. So, you know the basic differences in blade types. How each has its own use.”
Mishima slowly nodded, and lifted his head, listening as Iwai began expanding on that. He found himself entranced, not just with the honeyed voice rumbling, or the way the gunsmith’s body moved as he spoke, but with the words themselves. It sparked something in him. He’d always been studious, his parents never had to push him in that direction. He liked learning, liked information and words. He had a knack, even though he never counted it as anything useful outside of testing well. And his anxiety tended to even that out anyway.

Whelp, ya'll can probably figure out what I've been doing the past month and a half... Here's my fave boys from Persona 5!
Phantom Thief Mishima Yuuki
This is my concept for Mishima Yuuki’s Phantom Thief concept. If he looks tall, that’s probably my artstyle bc i’ve been told I give characters looonngggg legs.
I wasn’t thinking of giving Mishima a jazz singer theme until I saw a Palace!Mishima concept with jazz vibes to it and I thought why not. I had this thing, where I connected Mishima with music due to him having to give up learning music in exchange for computer coding as his parents thought computer coding were more financially secure and would pay off more in the future.
Mishima is connected with moon symbolism due to his arcana with Joker showing up as the Moon. I thought the moon would give Mishima a really unique aesthetic amongst the thief.
Singers are usually the centre of attention, so Mishima being a singer and with a weapon that’s a psuedo-mic would make people focus on him.
At first I thought to give Mishima something basic in terms of weaponry but then I was this so probably the only chance I’m going to have to draw phantom thief mishima so why not go all out. The light projections only come out when Yuuki’s on the offensive with opponents. When he’s not, the staff is in its usual form without the light projected blades.
There are parts of his design that are self-indulgent for me because if I ever get the chance to do something with this au, I want Mishima to be exploring his gender identity and how the lines blur for him at times, which is reflected through the asymmetrical of male and female elements.
When Mishima turns into his PT counterparte, it reflects a desire for him to be more social, more popular and more confident.
Of course, he’s still a Joker fanboy and it’s seen through the darker colours of his outfit, the flair of his collar and his mask.
Mishima’s more of a support character than an offensive character, using his siren-like abilities. He can analyse the enemy like Morgana can and can sense incoming shadows ahead. I’m still unsure about the element he’d use, either light or dark based attacks. His attack will be done with his staff in scythe form. But his support abilities will be performed with him singing into his mic.

When Goro Meets Mishima (And Appreciates a Gud Moon Boi)

Ren Amamiya headcanon
Ren didn’t immediately forgive Mishima Yuuki for leaking his information to the school. He was bitter for a while (my reason for why his dialogue options to Mishi are so uncharacteristically mean sometimes) and eventually, he forgave him without Mishima having to apologize because he knew that Kamoshida cornered him.
