More Gibberish - Tumblr Posts
Aesthetics
This seems like a wild stab in the dark, since nobody asked me anything, but it's been a slow day, and I felt like writing sth personal, elaborating upon the persona of this; whatever this may be. So I updated the 'about' section. Since nobody in the right mind - what with the whole internet (edit: and real life) being at their disposal - would actually go to that page, here's what I, primarily, came up with:
"I, as most people would agree, am an amateur - but, I would argue, with some serious attitude.
Attitude is the right word, in that I can’t think of myself as having an actual agenda, yet. If I had to come up with sth… I observe myself acting primarily in relation to light, when it comes to photography. I wouldn’t think “This is the motive,” but rather: “this is the light, what’s here that reflects it?” I can’t say that I see that reflected in my photography, myself, other than the very random way of composition, etc. (Then again, what do I care, the results have been sort of satisfactory up to now… The answer is: enough to write this paragraph.)"
(Note: I consider myself artist enough, to actually need sth like aesthetics. Now that's funny.)
more or less a hiatus
I want to start of by thanking everyone that followed, liked and/or shared my photographs! I started this blog/portfolio earlier this year and have gained a lot of insights, hopefully even evolved. Some people even gave some feedback, that was the most welcome, I have to be honest. It's been really nice for a back alley amateur like me to share my work and have it appreciated.
On that note, I want to continue by saying that, right now, I have only one more roll of film sitting in my Synchrobox, though, and that's it. I hope some of the shots will be worth your while, but with that camera you never know. Neither, if I will finish shooting that roll any time soon.
I did get carried away a bit over the last couple of days with shots that got sorted out the first time around for whichever reason and apart from the last three random shots I might post a couple more, mainly, because my photo manipulation skills have evolved (...) or they seem to fit the mood now. After that, it could be a while before a legitimate update will occur. Could be only a month, in which case this note would seem quite daft.... could be however long. Other projects/ideas are nagging to get more face to face time with my brain.

Two text posts in a row... that can't be good, huh?!
This won't take long, though: Just wanted to let you know that I just set up that other blog I was blabbering about. You will be able to reach it up by the other links by clicking 'blabla', since it's writing I'll concentrate on over there. I did set up a completely new blog, however, in order not to spam all of you who don't want to be bothered by longer reads. Also, different personae will show in both projects. All I can ask is that you check it out and, if you like it, follow my assessments over there, separately.

[...] oh man, I keep on not posting, or logging in even.... I'm very sorry... I hope to catch on to all my favourites' posts soon. Might be a while, though, before I upload sth new. I have no idea. I just stopped one day and didn't feel the urge to continue as of yet.
I thank everyone that decided/s to stick it out or to even follow, especially in a 'tide of ebb', since there will be new pics up at some point, I think.

Skimming through the archive over here and I recognised that I used to write more gibberish in the past and that I might like to catch up with that habit. I never did vaguely hint at anything about the past months’ posting habits or rather lack thereof. Although the cards might have been laid out in plain sight. It’s a thoroughly established (and therefore annoyingly boring) narrative of time as a resource and compromises as to how to spend it. It actually took me getting sick with a summer flu to get me posting again. Money for film has also been short and, without meaning to get into any discussion about merits of different kind of media, I myself just can’t seem to conjure up the same enthusiasm for my digital output. The reason, that a lot of it surfaces here, might actually just be that the digital camera is really extraordinarily handy and I do shoot more (than I would film - only 12 shots to a roll in medium format) and, thus, have more to choose from, if that makes any sense. So things peter out... I strongly hope to keep up this now rediscovered affection for the photographs and whatnot, but as it is now it is expressive of nothing more than the inclination and the hope itself. I have, also, missed a lot of y’all’s posts. I did my best trying to catch up, but there’s a definite limit to my capabilities....
Boy, what a wreck of a post, I love it.
Let me also, real quick, just extend a welcome to everybody new to whatever I think I do here.
The dashboard algorithm is straight up weird. I see stuff I already saw several weeks ago, and liked. Where are the new posts of the blogs I’m following. Instead I get spammed with posts of blogs I dont’t follow.
So, if I’ve missed your post or anything ... well, yes I’m a bad tumblr friend and often forget to login and will miss stuff, but this does not help at all ...
I guess, nobody will see this and this is more therapeutic than helpful.
