Another idea I had was yokai exterminators who eat the yokai to subdue them

Like, the guy is stuck with a large, fighting and squirming belly, and he has to use his extermination techniques to "purify" them. So he (and/or potentially his partner) is slapping spell tags on to the surface of his big belly to keep them at bay. Potentially wincing each time he does so, making his stomach wobble and gurgle loudly

He could also wrap a shimenawa (those large ropes) around his gut to keep the yokai trapped. It also squeezes the yokai and helps restrict their movements... but if they start fighting more, what's to stop the exterminator from tightening the rope~?

He could also bathe the evil spirit in holy sake to help exterminate it... but that may have consequences. Potentially, both him and the yokai in his gut both laughing their heads off, or him getting a better tolerance to the pain of the squirming (even getting more food), or even the exterminator just passing right out like a light

And that's not even mentioning the different kinds of yokai he could eat! Getting a glowing stomach from sealing some chochin-obake (lantern yokai), or a noisy belly that clanks as he walks from eating tsukumogami (living items/tools), or even getting second hand drunk from eating an oni, and the list goes on!
