i definitely figured tsubomi was always set up to reject him, but alongside all the deeper info/characterization we’ve had of her this season, this is literally the best result i could’ve asked for!!! she’s obviously always cared for mob as a friend, even after they grew distant, and i’m so so SOOOO happy they’re back to being close again.

though mob still got a well-deserved crying-his-heart-out after ;w; he needed that……

as a manga reader this detail caught me off guard and made me chuckle because i wasn't expecting an aoyama look alike

made me do a waterless spit take...anyhow i didn't expect them to redesign his hair for the anime but here's manga teruki for comparison

With Mob’s cheerful laughter, thank you studio bones and ONE for this wonderful journey and ending. I’ll miss watching Mob Psycho so much

Five years ago today, I got the news Mob Psycho 100 webcomic was coming to a close, and a day later I read the final chapter on my living room floor and had my first experience with crying over the ending of a webcomic/manga.

At the same time, someone organized a memorial project to celebrate the experience that was reading this series and show just how many people were touched by it. I thought it fitting to bring out my own drawing that I did for the project.

This series meant and still means so much to me in ways I’ll never be able to fully articulate. I laughed and cried, but most importantly I projected so unbelievably hard onto so many characters, onto a cast that I found so many facets of myself reflected within them.

If I had to pick one thing I loved the most about this series it was the allegory (whether intentional or not) for neurodiversity: About how the way you understand and interact with the world can be vastly different from anyone else and how that impacts how you do so, about the challenges you can face when you’re both incredibly gifted and incredibly inept depending on the topic, and how even with all the differences between you and others you can still find people who like you and want to be by your side all the same.

So, once more, for one final time, and from the bottom of my heart…

Thank you Mob Psycho 100!!!
