ok potential au idea. somehow, marcy didn’t go to amphibia with anne and sasha. she’s left behind on earth while sasha ends up at toad tower and anne ends up with the plantars. without marcy there or her connections to newtopia, it takes a much longer time for sasha and anne to figure out how to get home. over a decade passes before finally, they emerge, the plantars and possibly some toads coming with them through the portal.
while the now adult anne and sasha try to readjust to life on earth after over ten years in another world, they catch the attention of the government, who realize they’re harboring alien life and send in mr. x to capture them… and he’s assisted by his new intern, marcy wu.
