     ❛ You shouldn’t worry about those things. ❜ Souta had lived much too long to allow things to truly get to him. His friends were things he held dear to his heart , so it only made sense for him to worry about them. ❛ I’m your friend. I’m here for you .. be it questions on our kind or anything else. ❜ He crossed one leg over another before pursing his lips at the information. He knew of Zeke’s ex , yes , but him running away was something new entirely. ❛ Well .. I’ve never turned anyone myself. But I’ve heard of how precious kin can be to a vampire. ❜ Often they became obsessive , though after some time it began to fade. ❛ But to set out and kill you seems rash .. but it wouldn’t be the first time I’ve heard of it. ❜ He brushes a hand over his face , making sure to remind himself later to shower. ❛ Well there’s a handful of things we could do. Kill him though .. that is rash in it’s own way. Or we could confront him .. but that might leave us open for more attacks. ❜

"  yes i know that now i was so young when we first dated i was just so lost.  " he said letting out a soft sigh he’d pretty much regretted the whole thing having to involve the other male in what was supposed to be his personal drama only for it escalate to where the other ended up getting hurt just because he was being stupid for running away instead of facing his demons head on so to speak. all of this could have easily been avoided and the both of them wouldn’t here together only if zeke had sucked up and faced his said ex head on or at least somehow find them to talk things out between them instead of resulting things between them with violence like it currently was. "  if only i knew what i know now all of this could be avoided instead of being such a coward i’m so sorry souta.  "  he added holding his head inside of his hands he couldn’t bear to even look at the other male not wanting to worry them anymore than he already has at this point. "  don’t get me wrong friend i know you mean well , but i think i need to deal with this one on my own.  "

     She flinches at his words , looking up as a look of pain flashed across her features. It wasn’t an act , but she knew she had no right to argue about the fact. Mingyu hated her ; she expected just as much as she hated herself at this point. ❛ I’m sorry. ❜ She says softly , not completely trusting her voice just yet. The last thing she needed to do was cry and further make Mingyu hate her. Regardless of if they were together or not , she found no reason to treat the other any different then she had before. She loved him , even if that love was no longer returned. Bryn wished she would turn back the clock and change how she had approached everything offered to her. Now she was left with the constant reminder she had hurt the only man she had ever loved in life.

❛ I uh .. i’m not that hungry. There’s food in the kitchen if you feel up to it. ❜ It was all too clear that her presence was no longer welcome here. As much as Bryn wanted to stay civil , making her presence scarce would be the only way to make the situation livable for Mingyu. She turned away from him before pausing wondering if there would be anything she could say to him. To set him free and still be able to give their son the best life possible. ❛ I’ll stay out of your way Mingyu. i’m sorry. ❜ She moves away from the door before moving towards the living room to check on Junseo. She knelt down to kiss the top of his head before smiling when he looked up at her. ❛ Mama .. what’s wrong ? ❜ Bryn smiled faintly and shook her head brushing the hair from his face. ❛ Mama is just tired. Finish watching your cartoon then you can ask your dad to read you a bedtime story. I think he would really like that. ❜ After saying goodnight she moved into their her bedroom. 

mingyu could only let out another sigh at this point knowing that his words were way too harsh at bryn , but then again he had every right to be snappy with her especially after what she had done to him and how she had betrayed his trust like it was nothing. even if he was pretty much beyond angry at her he always hated seeing her unhappy especially knowing that he was the cause of it and how that would also affect their son in the long run because deep down he did really still love her even if he didn’t really want to admit that to himself let alone towards the other. so at this point he decided to remain very much cold and distant towards her no matter how much it pained him to do and how he longed to go back to the way they were before just one big family without a care in world it seemed when they were all so happy all together.

avoiding eye contact with the other as they were leaving the room only nodding his head to her words he couldn’t bear to face her right now let alone their son and how they’d have to pretend that all was fine between them when in fact it clearly wasn’t. settling down his things onto the floor making the rather drab and cold room feel like home because it seemed like he’d be staying here for a rather long time as he felt like he wasn’t even welcomed back into their her bedroom by the other if not then he wouldn’t even dare himself to go back there in order not cause anymore tension between them. after getting settled in or at least he tried to he sat up from the bed walking into living room seeing junseo sitting in the couch playing with his toys he had also admired their son for being so strong in the face of all of the tension in the house at the moment. sitting by him on the couch placing his hand onto his shoulder gently. "  hey buddy how are you doing ??  "

     ❛ Y-yah ! ❜ His cheeks flushed , as usual , and he pulled away from Reuben with a light pout. ❛ Teasing me about those things .. you’re bad. ❜ He reached to swat lightly at the other’s chest before turning to grab his hoodie from the back of the couch. He turned back to Reuben , leaning against the arm of the couch before smiling softly. ❛ How about we go to the grocery store ? Get some stuff for dinner .. then watch movies together after ? ❜ He asks curiously. 

eyes widening as soon as the words had left his mouth before suppressing in a laugh by covering his mouth with his hand going bright red in the face he couldn’t believe that he just said that something so silly , but then again he couldn’t help himself in this situation especially with ilsung as he’d been always so cheesy towards the other. upon composing himself he flashed a wide grin towards the other male. leaning in close to the other almost leaving no space between them expect for the couch wrapping his arms around the other he always had the best in mind for his boyfriend so he obviously meant no harm in his words and was just playing a little joke them. "  me bad ?? i’ve always been good ilsung you just bring out my greasy side because you’re simply so beautiful.  "  he cooed teasing the other male even further. "  yeah that sounds perfect to me anything will be fine by me as long as i’m with you.  "

     Souta smiled to himself at the last response , sending a quick message to let the woman know she could let herself in when she arrived. He moved towards the living room and laid out the food along with plates and utensils before settling down to wait for her to arrive.

quickly heading out the door with her phone in hand as soon as she got his message and making her over to his place thinking it had been quite sometime since the last time the both of them had seen each other in person. especially with how busy she’d been getting at the shop with the influx of new customers coming in she couldn’t help but feel the butterflies in the pit of her stomach the closer she got to her intended destination she just couldn’t wait to see her friend again. parking the car as soon as she got there walking straight into the home settling down her keys on the counter making her way through the home as the smell of pizza filled her lungs. turning the corner a wide grin soon formed onto her face upon seeing the feast set out before her feeling like a kid in a candy store she really couldn’t help herself at this point letting out a loud yell rushing over to where her friend was beyond excited to what was about to come at this point. "  omg everything looks so good.  " she said instantly making her way to where the food had been laid out and even if on the way to his place she hadn’t been really hungry she was practically starving by the time she’d seen the all of that food laid out before them.

     The room feels much too big , and Bryn regrets not just letting Mingyu take the main bedroom. The room holds too many memories , all good and all things she doesn’t deserve to have. The longer they are forced to live like this , the more Bryn thinks she should leave. She had enough of her own money to stop working all together at this point and simply let Mingyu and their son be happy. It was no secret Mingyu hated her , and as much as she tried to close the gap between them , it only grew larger by the day. Junseo was her life , but she no longer felt she deserved what she truly longed for.

Bryn showered and changed for the night , crawling into their the bed before tucking her body beneath the covers. As she often did she cried to herself , settling a pillow over her head so the sounds would not leave the small bubble of despair she found herself in. As much as she hated the idea of leaving either of the men in her life , it seemed she was pushed into a corner. Maybe putting in a call to her lawyer would be worth it now. Drawing up divorce papers to finally free Mingyu from her completely. It would be easy to get their son between them both without contact wouldn’t it ? Maybe then Mingyu would forgive her. She wouldn’t fight him for anything ; the house , the items within it , even their son. If it meant Mingyu and Junseo could be happy and free of her she would sacrifice everything.

Junseo looked up from the toys in front of him before frowning. As young as the boy was , it was obvious his parents weren’t their usual selves. Slowly he reached out his small hands to press against his father’s cheeks before puffing out his own. ❛ Daddy … sad . Mommy sad ..❜ He says softly before sliding onto his father’s lap to lean into his chest. In his small world his parents were everything to him and he simply wanted their lives to return to normal. ❛ I want mommy and daddy happy ! ❜ He nods sternly , copying a movement he had seen his father do before. Junseo dreamed of being like his father , tall and not scared of anything. ❛Junseo sleep with mommy and daddy tonight ! Then happy ! ❜

his heart broke into a million pieces upon hearing those words come out from his son’s lips as he knew that option wasn’t even possible at this very moment especially given the current situation they found themselves in. now normally he’d easily comply to anything his son asked of him as he loved him more than anything in this world and would do anything and everything in his power in order to make junseo happy , but given how he and bryn weren’t exactly on speaking terms right now after when in his mind the way bryn had betrayed his trust like she did like it was nothing don’t get me wrong here he obviously had every right to feel this way. he always hated to make his son sad in anyway so upon hearing their request he knew that it was impossible for him to fulfill it at this point unless he were to think on his feet and somehow remain civil with bryn for the meantime in order to make sure that their son was happy , but again given their current circumstances he highly thought that was impossible for him let alone the both of them to do so at this point. letting out a soft sigh brushing away stray hairs from his face before looking down at his son in his arms with a soft smile ruffling his hair slightly "  you’re right junseo ..... let’s go ask mommy if we can sleep together then.  " he said slowly scooping him up into his arms making sure that he was secure in his arms before making his way to their her bedroom. 

at this point it was like his heart was in control of his body not really able to think straight as he was always a sucker for his son and what he was about to do was the last thing he’d want to do preferring to wait things out between the both of them and live apart so to speak until they were able to talk things out properly between them. but with junseo going in between them he was fully aware that he had pretty much no option to wait that long not when their son couldn’t wait that long without noticing that there was something wrong going on between his parents especially since in his world they’d always sleep together in the same room together with him so given that they were apart and visibly miserable he was bound to notice that something was currently wrong with his parents softly knocking on the door hoping that the other wasn’t asleep yet and that they’d open for him even if he was fully aware that was probably no longer invited into the room.

     Ilsung’s cheeks flush when Reuben leaned into him , leaving no space or chance to escape him. So instead he wraps his arms around the other’s neck , stretching his neck up to press a slow kiss to the other’s lips. When he pulled back he brushed his nose slowly along his before sighing. ❛ I can’t deny that I don’t like that side of you. ❜ He admits , leaning back until he was laying flat against the couch. ❛ And complimenting me .. you’re getting a lot of extra boyfriend points today. ❜ He laughs softly , brushing his palms down the other’s chest. ❛ Though I have to admit .. being like this with you right now makes me not want to do much of anything .. ❜

reuben just couldn’t believe that he was with someone like ilsung something that was absolutely breath taking especially up close and he just thought that he was the luckiest man on the world to call ilsung his it was clear to everybody around them he is head over heels in love with the other male and would do anything within his power to keep ilsung by his side. he couldn’t help but let out a soft chuckle as soon as their lips parted pulling the other male even closer to his side leaving no space whatsoever between the both of them "  what can i say babe you just seem to bring out that side of me.  " he said letting out another soft chuckle those types of words seemed to flow out of his mouth whenever the both of them were around one another it almost seemed that he wanted to show the other male just how much he truly loved them not only though his actions , but his words as well and with the both of them not being really able to see each other properly in person the last couple days due to conflicting schedules especially with reuben having to study for exams currently he was more than willing to release all of the pent up love he’d stored inside of him for the other male. "  staying in sounds perfectly fine by me and plus i can totally shower you with my love today then.  " he added with a smirk gracing his lips.

     Love was such a complex emotion. One that Souta hadn’t bothered with until recently , but it still didn’t mean he understood it completely. He had been alive much longer than he ever expected , and things like love and affection were better left behind. Hunger and lust were things that seemed to keep him going , at least until he had met Nyx. ❛ Lost or not .. at that time it was what you needed and wanted. ❜ He didn’t believe in regretting things that you needed in the moment. Every situation was a lesson in more than one means. ❛ You’re blaming yourself for something you didn’t know at the time. Your ex though .. knew what they were doing and acting this way now is rather immature. ❜ A reckless vampire was dangerous , and Souta didn’t like to think that his friend was at risk. At the other’s dismissal he frowns , leaning forward to ruffle the other’s hair slowly. ❛ Telling me not to worry or not is useless friend. I’m going to help even if you don’t want me to. Hate me or not . .. but I don’t turn my back on those I care for. ❜

even if he knew that the other male meant no ill intentions in their words and just as he said they were just to help him out this situations as he obviously would be doing the exact same thing for the other if their roles were reversed without any questions or doubt in his mind he’d be doing and saying the exact same thing the other male was doing for him right now. but for some reason nothing was getting through that thick skull of his adamant that he should be dealing with his problems all on his own especially since he was clearly the cause all of this suffering and from his point of view he obviously had to correct of the wrongs his ex had committed tonight he almost felt obligated to do so as he obviously felt beyond bad that souta got caught in the cross fire so to speak when he should have been the one to be attacked earlier instead of his friend. letting out a soft sigh upon hearing their words thinking that there was no way that he could stop his friend from helping him now especially given how determined they seemed to lend a helping a hand towards him tonight so not wanting to cause any discourse between the both of them he reluctantly agreed to allow the other male to help him in order to solve the problem at hand. "  fine then you’re right how do you propose we go about this then ??  " he never liked burdening others with his problems like this and always opted to resolve all if not majority of his problems all by himself , but as previously stated he didn’t want turn down his friend’s help at this point especially since they seemed like they were pretty much begging him to help him out of the mess the both of them were currently in.

      ――― 🌸      There seemed to be no means of sleep for Bryn with everything weighing on her. She was being pulled in three different directions and still couldn’t justify any in her mind. On the one hand she was selfish , wanting to stay beside Mingyu because she loved him more than anything else. Even if her previous actions didn’t reflect that , she knew that she would never love anyone as much as she loved him. But then there was the fact that her love would only continue to hurt him ; to remind him of what she had done and the pain she had caused. She wasn’t sure he would ever heal from that , and Bryn would never expect him to. And lastly , their son stuck in the middle. While he was still young he was smart enough to know that something was going on. That his parents weren’t going about their lives as they normally did. Perhaps it was best to remove herself from their lives , she only seemed to be doing more harm than good.

The light knocking draws her from her thoughts and she tosses the pillow aside and wipes feverishly at her eyes. She didn’t want Mingyu or Junseo to see the clear evidence of her guilt , let alone make either feel bad for it. She moved from the bed and towards the door to open it ; looking from Mingyu to Junseo curiously. ❛ Hi little prince .. ❜ She said softly , smiling as she knelt down in front of him to take his small hands. ❛ Is there something you want ? ❜

When the door opened Junseo’s lips stretched into the biggest smile he could manage and bounced lightly on his feet. ❛ Mama ! Me and Papa will sleep with you ! ❜ Bryn’s eyes widened slightly before glancing at Mingyu to confirm that is what their son wanted. A new wave of guilt rushed over her as she looked back down at her and Junseo’s hands. ❛ Papa might not be comfortable little prince. ❜ She says softly before lifting the small boy into her arms to kiss his forehead. ❛ No mama ! ❜ Junseo shakes his head quickly before hugging Bryn’s neck tightly. ❛ We sleep with mama … we all be happy … ❜ She buried her face against the boys hair and nodded before turning towards the bed to settle Junseo against it. ❛ Okay my love … we can sleep together. ❜ She smiles , brushing the hair from the boys face. She moved towards her side of the bed before sliding under the covers. ❛ You sleep in the middle okay ? Let papa have his side of the bed. ❜ She opens her arms to Junseo who crawls quickly into them with a soft laugh. ❛ Yes yes ! Sleepover with mama and papa ! ❜

upon hearing the words of their son you could tell that things became whole lot of more awkward between the both of them , but mingyu could never get mad at his son as he loved him way too much to give him everything he ever wanted in this world and if need be he’d allow for the three of them to sleep together in one bed for the night. no matter how much he wanted for the complete opposite to happened here especially given what bryn had done to possibly tarnish their relationship for good even if deep down he still remained hopeful that this too will pass for the both of them and he will eventually learn to forgive the female and they could finally be one big happy family , but obviously that was going to take a really long time a lot of soul searching on his part it seemed because as much as hated to admit especially nowadays he still did love her with all of his heart that feeling would never leave him no matter what yes even if at this point what he was saying or doing towards the other wasn’t reflecting that and from the outside looking into their relationship it looked for the best of the both of them to divorce one another and possibly share custody over their son if they were able to remain civil towards each other , but in the event of that not being the case for the both of them then that would serve to prolong their agony and suffering between the both of them. 

he looked a complete idiot standing in front of her rubbing the back of his nape not really knowing what to do or react to the situation on hand don’t get him wrong though he was determined to go through with their son proposal of them sleeping together in one bed that is if she up to the idea. so he was wondering how she’d react to his words if he’d say yes to the idea as this certainly would things much more difficult for the both of them. "  well we can’t change his mind now. " he said still rubbing the back of his nape but who knows at this point really maybe this could be good for the both of them that this could serve as a stepping stone on their way to reconciling with one another and go back to the way they once were with each other clearing his throat before walking over to what once was their family bed sliding himself under the covers making himself comfortable well much as he could in this situation glancing at wife and son he couldn’t help but smile at the scene unfolding before his eyes serving as glimpse into their shared past of how they all once were  " hey ..... about what i said earlier it was really uncalled for so i-i’m sorry bryn " he added almost to a whisper making sure that their son didn’t hear his words letting out a soft sigh in the process.

Bryn let her fingers stroke along her son’s back , doing her best to get him to calm down from his excitement to sleep with his parents. Bryn knew enough that if Junseo stayed awake any longer , none of them would be sleeping that night. Thankfully , it seemed that being settled in allowed the exhaustion to take over his body and he was sleeping in no time. Slowly she leaned her head forward to press a kiss to the top of the boy’s hair , murmuring a soft I love you , before pulling the blanket up over his shoulders.

The sound of Mingyu’s voice causes her to glance towards him. Wondering what she had done to deserve such a calm response from her husband. She knew Mingyu loved her , that was something that she had never doubted. But she also understood the anger he felt towards her. ❛ I deserve it. ❜ She whispers , swallowing hard as her fingers returned to Junseo’s hair. ❛ Mingyu .. I love you. And I let my career crowd that. I know i’ve hurt you … hurt you more than i’ll ever be forgiven for. ❜ She looked up towards Mingyu again , reaching out to brush her fingers along his hair and cheek. ❛ I’ll never forgive myself Mingyu. And I understand you can’t forgive me. I’m not expecting that and I won’t even ask for that. ❜ No , she would never put him in that position. ❛ The least I can do … is to let you be happy. ❜

She shifts against the bed , letting her head rest against the pillow before sighing. ❛ So please .. tell me what you want Mingyu. If you want me to leave I will. Divorce … if you want Junseo. As much as it would kill me to leave you both .. I can’t live with myself letting you suffer like this. I’d rather .. die before putting you through this .. ❜

seeing bryn with junseo like this only reminded him of how they used to be how all of them used to be so happy together as one family so more than anything in this world he wanted to return things as they were. but he obviously knew at this point that could no longer be an option for them and that all of the good times all of them spent together were just faded memory at this point even still he never lost hope that maybe just maybe they could still like they once were albeit with things going much more differently especially since they both knew at this point i would take a really long time for him to forgive her who knows it might even take centuries for him to forgive her ?? for not only neglecting him but neglecting their son which obviously hurt him more than anything in world. despite everything though mingyu still loved his wife he always did actually and if he could turn back the clock at this point to when they were still happy he could with any questions being asked but for the meantime he’d have to contend with their current situation until the time that he could finally forgive bryn for what she had done to him and their family then again it was still nice to pretend like everything was alright between the both of them only for the sake of their son that is as for now that was his priority to make sure that junseo was happy nothing else really mattered for him at this point. letting out a soft sigh upon hearing her words he always hated seeing the people that he loved in this world like this and one small part of him wanted to just forgive her right then and there to forgot about everything wrong about them and live life as they once did together , but he knew better not to as that would obviously cause more problems for the both of them further down the line. 

"  stop ...... you don’t need to say or do that bryn.  " he said letting out another soft sigh holding back tears from forming in his eyes thinking that was the last thing he wanted from happening between the both of them no matter how hurt and angry he was towards her at this point he obviously didn’t want to throw everything that they had together away like this not when there was still other options they could take to repair their relationship. "  we could just continue being together i’ll be sleeping in the other room and you sleep here with junseo if not for my sake but our son’s.  " he added coldly before slowly getting up from the bed especially now that their son was fast asleep heading back to the other room in question as he didn’t really have the strength to face his wife right now not least to make things anymore awkward or painful between the both of them at this point quietly closing the door behind him making sure not to wake up their son before falling into tears covering his face with the crook his arm.

     ――― 🌸   Souta is just pouring them each a glass of wine when he hears the light shuffle of feet at the door. In his long life it had become difficult to make and keep friends , so knowing that he could call on someone at anytime made him happy enough. His eyes widen at the woman’s words before laughing out , unable to stop himself from doing so. ❛ Seriously .. you’re the only person I’ve met that gets so excited over food. But then again .. I can’t deny I don’t do the same thing. ❜ He’s grinning as he nods towards the seat opposite him , already handing her a plate and a glass of wine as he does. He moves to grab a slice of pizza for himself before adding a few sweet chili wings to his plate. He settles back against his chair and takes a bite from the slice before groaning under his breath. ❛ Honestly .. did pizza get better or am I dreaming ? I always forget how good pizza is until I eat it again. ❜

she couldn’t help but fall into a fit of giggles upon hearing his words then again all of it was true though. she loved food more than anything in this world so obviously when he had invited her for some food she didn’t even hesitate to accept his invite even if she had eaten some snacks earlier she still always had room for more food not least because she hadn’t seen the other in quite sometime given their rather busy schedules. "  what can i say ?? i’m always excited for more food.  " she said falling into another fit of giggles making her way to the table where all of the food was laid out onto she couldn’t help but become even more excited as the smell of the various food filled her up sitting down opposite of the other grabbing both the plate and glass of wine they passed to her settling them onto the table she couldn’t be anymore ready to just dig into all of the yummy food laid out before them. grabbing a slice or two of the pizza along with a couple pieces of the sweet chili wings onto her plate before going to town so to speak on the food she could honestly cry tears of jot at this point with how good the food was currently and what could make this moment even better was to invite a couple friends over that is if the other would allow her to do so that is. "  i know right ??  but you know what could make this even better if we invite a couple more friends over like collin oppa ??  "
