My Girl

My Girl

Nanami Kento xfem!Reader

Fluff, established relationship, fem pronouns. A story where Nanami thinks about the most beautiful things about you.

There is this woman. She is beautiful. She holds herself with such grace and elegance even if she swears against it. I find her charming and alluring. No time in my life had I thought a single person could make my heart glow with such passion. I need her. And I’ve never needed anyone this way. Just her.

Her hair is beautiful. I adore the way it shines in sun when we are out on our evening strolls. Her laugh is loud, but filled with joy. I normally cannot tolerate such a bold laugh, but If it’s hers, I simply adore it. The way she carries herself with such pride makes my heart burn with love. She is confident now. She didn’t use to be, but she realized how strong she was. And for that I am proud.

I consider myself lucky to know such a woman. Truthfully I don’t know what I did to deserve the honor of loving and caring for her. Im glad she allowed me to stay with her. For my life has been more enjoyable knowing she is mine. And I am hers.

I am forever grateful to whatever force led her to me. Soon I hope to propose to her. And I truly hope she consents to this. For I know she is the only woman for me. I’ve known that for a very long time now. We’ve been together for two years now and before that I loved her well back into our school years.

I love her in every way possible to man. I always will love her and care for her. I do this because she is…

Be Okay Pt.3

Be Okay pt.3

Satoru Gojo x Reader, Nanami Kento x Reader

Fluff, slight angst. Last part of this series.

Your pov

F/n came and picked me up from my apartment and took me to their home. I’m so grateful for them. I think I’d lose my mind entirely if I couldn’t have their help. They let me lounge on their couch for the time being. Thankfully it was extremely comfortable. They let me vent and cry about what happened. Telling me just how shitty Satoru is for cheating on me and ruining or relationship.

My life for the longest time has be all but consumed with Satoru. Now that I no longer have him, I’m not sure what to do. I know leaving was the best option for me. He cheated on me, broke my trust, and ruined the love we once shared. Part of me blames myself for what happened. Maybe I could have tried to love him more? Maybe I could have pretended? Or maybe I’m not pretty enough for him anymore? The woman he was with was extremely beautiful. Honestly, I can see why he was with her. However, if he wanted her so bad, then why did he stay with me? A week later I was touring a small apartment the was in my price range. One bedroom and one bathroom. Just enough room for me and whatever happens next.

Fifteen months later…

It’s been a while now and I’m much happier and I’ve been going to an awesome therapist for the past ten months. And now I feel so fulfilled with myself and the life I made for myself. I was such a broken soul back then and now I feel free. I also got a new job at a financial company in the sales department. It’s a boring job that requires me to sell shit product for way more than they are worth. It’s not an honest job, but at least I get paid well. So I guess you can say that’s I’m okay.

I also met someone nine months ago whose so incredibly beautiful. His name is Nanami Kento. He’s a mature man that is so kindhearted. I never thought that I’d be able to love like this again, but he’s shown me that it’s okay to love. He was very respectful towards me and didn’t pressure me to do anything I wasn’t comfortable with. We took our time together and built up a trust that I never even had with Satoru. And I find the beauty in moving on from him. Now I see my worth when it comes to relationships and even other things outside of that. Kento really helped me realize that. So I can safely say that we love each other and that it’s real. I don’t fear losing him to someone else or being afraid of him flirting with other people. He looks at me and treats me like I’m the most important thing to him. He takes time out of his busy day to make sure I’m doing okay. That was something that took getting use to, but I realize that it’s a good thing. Nanami and I have a healthy relationship dynamic and I couldn’t be happier with it.

I haven’t seen Satoru Gojo since that dreadful day. I’m really glad for that. But now I know that if I see him, that it won’t hurt me like it I thought it would’ve months ago. Now I’m okay and his betrayal doesn’t affect me at all. I understand now that it wasn’t my fault in the slightest. That he was the one that broke that trust. I’ve felt so much lighter having that burden off of my shoulders. I try not to think about it too much, but I sometimes wonder how he’s doing now.

Satoru Gojo pov

It killed me not seeing her these past fifteen months. Initially I wanted to give her some space. I knew that if I went to her immediately, she’d shut me down. And I didn’t want that. I truly don’t know why I waited this long. Maybe it was because of work? Maybe it was because I was scared? Maybe I was just to nervous? I don’t really know. But now I’m ready to get her back. I’ve changed these past months. Since that woman, I haven’t been with any one else. No one else to me could even compare to y/n. No one else holds my heart the same way she does. No one else loved me even when we were at our lowest. I don’t deserve her at all. I know that I don’t, especially after what I did. But I’ll be dammed if I don’t try.

It’s practically took a month to convince y/n’s friend to tell me the area that my lover lived in. They simply wouldn’t budge. And to be honest, I kind of respect their loyalty. F/n told me that they would not give y/n’s actual address because that would be shitty. And they told me that it was up to y/n whether or not she would give me further information. Which was completely fair.

So here I am with her favorite flowers in hand walking around the area in which y/n lives at. I want to convince her that I’ve changed and that woman meant nothing to me. That y/n is the only person for me and back then I was far too stupid to understand that. If things go well, maybe we can move here together. This place is really nice and it’s got a homey feel to it. Walking around I notice a lot of cute stores and other fun things to do. No wonder she chose this area. It’s the perfect place for her.

I wondered around for awhile about to give up on my search. Maybe she’s out of town or something? Or maybe f/n gave me the wrong area? I was about to give up my search when I saw her. She looked so beautiful. Even more beautiful than I remember her. She had this huge smile plastered on her face and her cheeks were dusted pink. She looked genuinely happy and my heart filled with joy seeing her so.

Not even a split second later I saw the reason for that happiness. It was my old friend Nanami Kento. He was holding her hand. Even he was smiling too, which was an extremely rare occurrence. I felt cold seeing them together. I’m not a fool, I know when I see a happy couple. She’s moved on now and I was too late to stop her. I guess I deserve this though. I was the one to break her heart. I’m just glad she’s in good hands now. Nanami is an honorable man who will take good care of her. At least I know that’s she’s gonna be okay…

Be Okay Pt.3

[M4F] Husband Catches You Listening To Audio P*rn, Teaches You A Lesson [Soft Mdom] [Established Relationship]

Your skin is sweltering against the sheets, sweat damp on your forehead and neck. Thighs are apart, vibrator buzzing on your clit, sleek with lube and arousal. You’re home alone; Nanami doesn’t return until tomorrow morning. Still, the thought of the audio porn playing on speaker makes you shy, so you have both earbuds in, listening to the sultry tones of your favorite voice actor moaning expletives directly into your ear. Such a good girl, oh fuck. You feel so good, sweetheart. Take that cock for me. You are so fucking tight, holy shit. The added sound effects of thwapping and wet squelches in the background immerse you into a state of erotic bliss, gushing for the second time tonight from the sensation of the toy pulsing on your throbbing bud.

“What do we have here?”

You jolt up when you hear your husband’s voice from the doorway, startled to see him standing there, leaning against the frame with a serious look on his face. His spectacles are on, covering his eyes, which you can tell are boring into you in this lewd position.

Popping your headphones off, you hide the vibrator under the pillow, as if he hasn’t already caught you red-handed. Closing your legs, you bat your eyelashes, feigning an innocent expression. “Honey! What are you doing here?” More heat rushes into your cheeks, scorching hot from your recent orgasm and current embarrassment.

He steps forward, sitting at the far edge of the bed, avoiding your gaze by staring at the floor, acting disappointed. “I managed to catch an earlier flight. Wanted to surprise you.” Dramatic, he turns to face you, eyes narrowed through his tinted lenses. “It appears that I am the one being surprised.”

Biting your lip to hold back your laughter, you crawl towards him, naked from the waist down, your panties discarded on the floor near his feet. He’s not actually upset; having been together long enough and in tune with each other’s emotions, you can tell that he isn’t seriously mad at you. This is a role he indulges in occasionally: stoic, strict husband with a mean streak when things don’t go his way. And you know exactlywhere this will lead to, so naturally, you play along. “I’m sorry, sweetie. I didn’t think you would be coming home tonight. I just thought I’d have a little bit of fun.” You massage his shoulders, nuzzling your face to his nape, giving him a loud smooch.

He shifts around in the bed, confronting you. “What were you listening to?” There’s legitimate curiosity in his voice, and now genuine guilt builds in your chest upon his question.

You swallow hard, anxious to admit the truth, too ashamed to lie to him. “Um, I was listening to porn. Audio porn.”

He raises a brow at you, confused. Then, he says, “Let me hear it.”

Reluctantly, you reach for your phone on the nightstand, resuming from where you paused. Wet slaps blare through the speaker, then a man’s voice, moaning, “Ah fuck, let me hear you. Let me hear you moan on my cock. Let me hear you take this cock. Yeah, like that baby, take it just like that.”

You bury your head in your hands, absolutely mortified as the pornographic dialogue continues. The audio comes to a halt when Nanami stops it, silently tapping at the screen. You’re still hiding in disgrace, squeezing your legs together tightly to conceal the evidence of your supposed sin. The tension is palpable, with neither of you speaking or making any sudden movements. You’re dying to know what he’s thinking, simultaneously terrified of his judgement.

He clears his throat; you peek through your fingers to catch him loosening his tie around his collar, removing the glasses from his face. He’s blushing, brows tight with contemplation. “Did you come to this?” he asks, almost breathless.

You lower your hands, fisting them into the sheets beneath you, nodding. Anticipating.

“Show me,” he demands, eyes at your lap. Too eagerly do you spread your legs, displaying your sopping cunt to him, staring at his lips part slightly, a barely audible growl resounding within his throat. Your uneasiness gradually slips into arousal, aching to be touched, even punished, by your formidable husband. He bows, licking his mouth, inspecting you like prey he’s about to devour. Flicking his eyes to yours, he mutters, “You’re a dirty slut for listening to this filth. Have you no shame?” He kneels before you, unbuttoning his dress shirt, exposing the white tee underneath. Chiseled chest and abs carved into the fabric like fucking marble.

Losing composure, you blurt out, “No shame, absolutely none. I’m fucking filthy.” Your pussy aches, toes clenched, thrilled.

“I can’t stand you listening to another man’s voice while you get off. It makes me sick thinking about it. Makes my blood fucking boil.” His tone is menacing in way that titillates every inch of your skin, has you shuddering from the low growl at the end of each sentence.

“Are you going to punish me?” you goad, saliva collecting on your tongue, heavy with lust.

“I can think of something better.” Reaching for your phone, he navigates through it, finding your voice recorder app. He taps on the big red button, setting it beside you. “From now on, you only come to my voice. Got it?”

You swallow hard, almost chocking on your spit when you respond, “Yes. Yes, baby.”

He grins, a wicked gleam in his eyes as he cups your cheek tenderly. “Good girl.” His thumb traces the outline of your parted lips, your mouth inviting him in. But he doesn’t, leaning back on his wrists, observing you with the obvious bulge protruding from his slacks. “Get that vibrator. Show me how you do it.”

Obeying, you search for it under the pillow, retrieving it to rub the tip up and down your folds, finger on the trigger. “There you go,” he encourages, a cocky smirk on his face, slowly unbuckling the belt around his waist, sliding it from the loops and tossing it aside. “Tease it a little before you turn it on. Make sure it’s exactly where you want it.”

You tap the toy on your swollen bud, already sensitive from your earlier climax. You meet his gaze, waiting for a signal. He slides out of his pants and briefs, revealing his erection sprung against his belly. Before he does anything else, he grabs your phone and sets it on the bed between you. Palming his length, he grins. “Go ahead.”

What a fucking menace he can be.

Pushing the button, the vibrator immediately pulsates on you, causing you to twitch from the intense sensation. He watches, fingers wrapped around his shaft, stroking himself, thumb grazing the slit. “Look at you. My gorgeous girl,” he purrs. “My perfect angel with the prettiest pussy. Can’t wait to stretch you open with this cock. Bury myself deep inside you. Fill you up with my cum.”

“Fuck, Kento,” you whimper, pressing the fluttering tip firmer, sweat beginning to bead on your forehead. You’ve always loved his hands; how pristine they are with his knuckles tight on his skin. Large, strong, then rough on the pads of his fingers from hard work and constant use. They’re even prettier in a fist surrounding his cock, wrist jerking hastily, precum glistening at the tip. Your entire focus is on him touching himself while he watches you do the same, the toy’s low hum enhanced when it’s snugly nestled to your clit.

“You like it when I talk nasty to you, huh?” he huffs, readjusting himself nearer to you. He’s so close, you can practically feel the tip of his cock at your quivering pussy. “Is it better than listening to your ridiculous pornography?”

“Yes, yes, yes,” you whine, jutting your hips out, attempting to close the gap.

“Unlike them, I can actually touch you,” he muses, his tip teasing your entrance. “I can do whatever I want, whatever you want. They don’t get to fuck this sweet cunt like I get to. They don’t get to taste you the way I do.”

Suddenly, he grabs the vibrator from your grasp, shutting it off and setting it back under the pillow. He shifts down the bed, positioning his head between your thighs, diving in tongue first onto your puffy clit. Pleasure resonates from your core throughout your limbs, legs shaky and mind hazy as he slobbers all over you, covering your bud in his frothy spit. It’s sloppy, salacious, straight up nasty. After only a few strokes of his tongue, it’s already enough to send you into your third orgasm of the night, more powerful than the first two combined when you were alone.

You’d be a fool to expect him to let up after coming once with him; still, it shocks you when he doesn’t stop. He latches to you harder, suckling on your sensitive clit until it’s plump between his glossy lips and you’re crying out, “Too much!” overstimulated and spasming above him. Sometimes, when he’s in one of these moods, he forgets his own virility, always so keen on making you orgasm multiple times in one go. Tonight, he forgets that you had already been prepping yourself since earlier. With a gentle kiss, he relents, indulging in his work by running his tongue along your gushing pussy, drinking up your cum. He reaches for his cock, stiff between his stomach and the bedsheets under him. On his knees, he returns to his spot from earlier, stroking his cock with the tip just barely in your entrance.

You’re absolutely spent, but you yearn for him inside you, desperate to be filled with his load. “Come in me, baby,” you beg, gripping his wrist to pull him closer. “Fuck me.”

He lets out a disapproving tsk, shaking his head. “Not yet, princess. You have to be patient. We’re just getting started,” he smirks, stroking himself faster. “Are you just so fucking needy for my cum?” You nod erratically, tempted to thrust yourself onto him.

“Then beg for it,” he orders, sliding his cock the slightest bit further inside you. “Convince me that you deserve it.”

Understanding what he wants, you retrieve your little toy again, rubbing small circles with it on your bud, smearing whatever is left of your orgasm around it. “Please, Kento. Please. I need it. I need it.”

The sight of you like this has him dangling on the very edge, so close to climax. “Turn it on,” he demands. You do, the buzz electrifying all the nerves in your body yet again. You chant his name over and over until he shoots insides you, spurts of opaque cum flooding your pussy. “Yes, yes. Good girl. Take that fucking cum. Take all of it. Fuck.” His voice is hushed, breathy and trembling from the high.

You stop the vibrator, tossing it to the floor carelessly. Nanami crawls next to you, cradling you in his arms. With a kiss to your forehead, he whispers, “Are you okay?”

You smile, turning to face him, nuzzling his chest. “Of course.”

He caresses your face, trailing down your body to rest his hand at your waist. He glances at your phone beside you. “We’re still recording, you know.”

You giggle. “And…?”

He kisses you softly, tongue flitting past your lips, guiding you flat on your back, spreading your legs apart. “I’m not done with you yet.” His hand glides to your loins, toying with your swollen clit before teasing your entrance, brimming with his creampie. “Can you still take it, sweetheart?”

You nod, breath hitching, cuddling closer to him. Smiling sweetly at you, he eases a finger in, cum overflowing your pussy and trickling out from your slit. He slides in another easily, stretching you open, a whine escaping you. His mouth is hot on your ear. “You love this, don’t you? Me finger fucking my cum deeper inside you. Taking it like an obedient whore.” He picks up the pace, your cunt clenching his digits. “I’m going to get you pregnant tonight. Breed you, make you mine. You want that, sweetie?” His fingers writhe inside you, hitting that sweet spot repeatedly until you’re tight around him, ready for another orgasm. At this point, you’ve stopped keeping count, lost in a sex-fueled craze instigated by your husband.

“Yes, Kento. Give it to me. I want it. I want it so bad.” You notice he’s hard again, his erection stiffening against your leg. Reaching for him, you rub your hand on his length, feeling it twitch from your touch.

“Fuck,” he groans, pulling out from you. He sits up, back to the headboard, beckoning. “Get on my lap. Hurry,” he urges, hoisting you towards him. You straddle him, guiding his cock to your entrance. “Sink down on it. There we go,” he instructs, eyes wide, desperation etched in his tone. He needs this just as much as you do, and it drives you wild. You follow his command, lowering yourself onto him, his dick sliding in smoothly, bottoming out. “That’s my good girl. Fuck. You’re so good to me. So fucking good to me.”

You start riding him the way he likes, your ass slapping loudly on his thighs. He’s moaning endlessly, throwing in the occasional fuck and pet name as he grips your hips, bouncing you on his cock. You wrap your arms around his neck to keep steady, holding him tightly. “Want your cum,” you manage to utter, enraptured in the scorching pleasure he surrounds you in.

He's fucking up into you, feet planted at the end of the bed. The mattress creaks with every thrust of his cock. In a huffy breath, he says, “Milk it out of me, honey. Milk me fucking dry. You can do it sweetheart; I know you can.” The praise encourages you to ride him faster, rougher, your bodies in tandem, springing on the bed, moaning into each other’s mouth with a passionate kiss.

Soon, he pulsates inside you, stuffing you even fuller with his cum. You climax once more, gripping his cock with your fluttering pussy. He cradles you in a cozy embrace, catching his breath, nuzzling his nose to your chest. You giggle, running you fingers through his hair, smooching the top of his head. “You okay?” you ask, wiping the perspiration from his forehead.

He nods, exhaling deeply. “Just let me hold you. Need to calm down.”

You laugh, amused by his current state of post-coital euphoria. Fetching the phone teetering precariously at the edge of the bed now, you tap on the red button to stop the recording. Seeing this, he mentions, “You know I don’t actually mind you listening to that kind of stuff, right?”

You smile, noticing the guilt in his voice, massaging his back. “I know, honey. I know you don’t.”

He squeezes you, taking a deep breath. “Okay, good. Just want to make that clear.”

You cup his cheek, thumb caressing the stress lines along his face, gradually relaxing to your touch. “If it makes you feel any better, I’d much rather listen to this than some stranger on the Internet.”

Chuckling, he replies. “Maybe it makes me feel a little bit better.” He snuggles closer to you, hugging you tight, reluctant to let you go. Eventually, the two of you slip beneath the covers, getting comfortable with Nanami spooning you from behind.

You glance at the screen, showing the several minute long recording and the play button adjacent to it, ready to be tapped. “So,” you start, craning your neck to smirk at him. “Should we give it a listen?”

He returns your grin, shifting beside you, cock growing hard between your ass cheeks. “Absolutely.”

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

You woke up with a start as the sound of a car door closing rang in your ears. You slowly opened your eyes and looked around confused. You sat up quickly, forgetting where you were for a minute. You groaned as you felt a sore sensation in your lower abdomen and you looked down. You noticed a tan suit jacket draped across your body as a makeshift blanket, covering your exposed chest and stomach. Your underwear was on, and you realized that the white fabric you were sitting on was the shirt you had been wearing.

You felt your face go hot as you started to think back over what had happened. You had slept with him. Your hands covered your cheeks as you felt them go red. You had really slept with him. Memories flashed in your mind, his body on yours, his hands on your body, the ungodly noises he let out- the ones you had let out.

You took a deep breath trying to control the blood rushing to your face and looked out the car window. You noticed Nanami had driven somewhere, but why? It was a pharmacy. One of the special pharmacies that partnered with the school to bypass prescriptions.

A man walked in front of the car and you jumped to cover yourself. He looked in, but he seemed to look past you. There was a small barrier. You sighed in relief. Thank god Nanami was a forward thinker.

You suddenly saw the pharmacy door swing open and Nanami walk out with a small white bag. His hair was down but pushed back, his glasses back on and his blue shirt untucked, probably to cover the stain you had left on his pants. You were a bit taken aback, he looked tastefully disheveled…handsome. He went up to the car and sat into the driver's seat. He looked back at you. “Ah, you’re awake.”

You nodded. “Where are we?”

“I stopped by to get you a couple of things. My apologies if I closed the car door too hard.” He reached over to the passenger's seat and grabbed a brown paper bag. He passed it over and you, a little confused, pulled out a T-shirt that said “I ❤️ Tokyo”.

“I apologize for tearing your blouse. If you send me your measurements I can get you a new one, for now-“ you started to put the shirt on and he went silent as he watched you. You pulled your head through the top and blushed as you noticed his gaze.

“Thank you.” He nodded and passed you a water bottle.

“I also got you some pain relief from the pharmacy, I’m afraid I might have been too rough on you.” He grimaced. “I shouldn’t have let myself get so carried away, I apologize.”

“No, no,” you waved your hands and gave him two thumbs up. “It was fine.” You dropped your hands, embarrassed for a moment, you had picked up the habit of doing that from Akari. That reminded you. “Have…you seen my phone?”

“Yes, Akari had been trying to reach you. I answered and let her know you were okay, just…feeling under the weather.” He passed you your phone and you unlocked it to check the 6 missed messages and 3 missed calls from Akari.

-SEX WHAT??

You frowned as you realized you had accidentally sent the unfinished text.

-hello?

   Ten minutes later

-hey can you answer me I’m starting to get worried  -Y/N I’m serious, please answer my calls  -I’m going to call Nanami if you don’t pick up this next call

Two minutes later

-call me as back as soon as you can please

You frowned, what were you gonna tell her?

“I told her you were suddenly sick, so we stopped somewhere to rest.”

“Thank you.” You couldn’t figure out his tone. He was helping you out, but also covering for himself. Was he doing it out of respect, or…

“I also bought this for you.” He seemed nervous as he reached into the white bag. You looked at what he handed you. You stifled a laugh. It was an emergency contraceptive. “I’m not sure what you might already do, but just in case.” He stared at the box. “I hope this doesn’t offend you. I just figured, you’re young and wouldn’t want…well a surprise, if you will.” He looked back up at you. “Unless you do, I’m not trying to tell you what you should or shouldn’t do, it’s just in case… I thought I’d give you the choice, please don’t be influenced by what I’m saying… I’m sorry, I-“

You laughed at him and he shut up. “Don’t worry. You’re right, I don’t want a baby right now. I appreciate it.” You stared at the box. “You’re really charming when you’re flustered.” You looked up at him, but he had no reaction. He just nodded once. You looked back down, sort of disappointed.

You both began to speak at the same time and stopped. “Go ahead.” He said.

“Sorry, I was just going to say that I should drive you back. I can go ahead and drop you off at your place. I just need to drop off the vehicle and no one will question if I come back alone as long as you’ve already checked back in.”

He stared at your shirt. “I should have bought you a better shirt.”

You smiled and shook your head. “I have a lot of shirts like this, it’s perfect.” You quickly reached for your pants and struggled a little to put them back on. Nanami just watched.  You finally pulled them up and tucked your shirt in a little. You looked back up at him, you caught yourself giving him a thumbs up and stopped. “It’s past 6 so Akari will be the only one to see me since everyone else will have gone home for the day. She won’t even think twice.” His brows moved like he was thinking of something. “Oh, thank you by the way..for cleaning me up.” You handed him back his suit jacket. You picked up his tie and his suspenders and put them in the brown bag. You attempted to pick up his blunt sword but hesitated to touch it. “The building was destroyed…what happened, if you don’t mind me asking?”

Nanami shrugged slightly. “It was only a Grade 2 curse. She could speak some, but she was sometimes incoherent.” He sighed, “It was a very tragic situation she was born from. So I figured I’d destroy the place.”

“He might not pay you.”

Nanami shook his head. “Mei Mei set up the mission, she’ll get her money no matter what.” He sighed. “Either way I don’t care.”

That’s right, Nanami was infamous for not caring about the outcome of missions. At least nothing past the defeat of the curse. He didn’t really care for the politics of defeating one curse but letting another go, or the idea of the clans deciding the codes sorcerers should follow.

“It’s late…” He said, breaking the silence.

“I should drive you back.” You started to move and winced a little.

“I’ll drive to my place and then you can take the car back, rest some more.”

“Thank you.” You smiled at him, but he just turned back to turn on the car.

You sat in silence all the way back, thinking. You looked at your phone and shot Akari a text.

-feeling better, I’m so sorry. dropping off nanami and then heading to the school.

You closed your eyes and sighed. You had just fucked the man you’d been dreaming about for months and now you were…unsatisfied? No, you had a great time. You snuck a glance at him through the rear view mirror. Did he not have a good time? He was being cold again. No, you were reading too much into it. The curse had influenced him to do it, it could have happened with anyone. Your stomach dropped at the realization.

It could have happened to anyone.

Akari was originally supposed to go, if she hadn’t offered you the chance this would be her. Would he have been more talkative with her? People seemed to trust her more, maybe he would be more open. Also, he had said that Mei Mei had set up the mission. Why was he the one that went instead? Had he volunteered? He’d been briefed about the mission so he knew what he’d be facing. He probably thought he wouldn’t be affected. You thought he wouldn’t be affected. But what if…you stopped yourself. You were reading way too much into it. There was no way to know if Nanami had volunteered just to sleep with Akari, but he had gotten you instead.

You forced yourself to stop thinking about it. You were hurting your own feelings over something you had no proof of. But the fact of the matter was, it could have been anyone driving him. You weren’t special to him. If anything, you gave in easily. A feeling of regret began to wash over you. He probably thought you were so stupid and easy. No, you told yourself, he isn’t like that. But there was no way to really know. The car slowed down as he pulled in front of a tall building.

“Would you like to come in?” Nanami asked.

“No, it’s getting late, you should get home and rest too. Today was…interesting.” You said with a smile. You couldn’t see his face as he was staring straight forward. His hands gripped the steering wheel hard, his knuckles turning white, before he let go and nodded. You looked away frustrated. What did that mean?

You both got out of the car and lingered outside. “Oh, your sword.” He opened the door and grabbed it easily off the car floor. You watched as his hands wrapped around the hilt and the veins in his arms popped. “Thank you for everything. I appreciate you covering for me with Akari, and thank you for thinking of my health.” You just looked at him, you couldn’t think of the best way to say goodbye.

“Thank you, for helping me with my…urges.”

You smiled. “It could have been anyone.” You muttered. You saw his brows furrow but before he could say anything else you bowed politely and got in the car.

You watched him stare at you from the mirror as you drove away. His hair unkempt, suit jacket draped over his arm holding the sword, and the brown paper bag in the other.

-

“Y/N!” Akari ran up to you and hugged you. “You had me worried to death. Are you feeling better? What happened?”

“I need to hurry before the buses stop running. I’ll just tell you later.”

Akari rolled her eyes. “I’ll give you a ride. Just tell me, are you okay?”

You nodded. “The mission was easy enough, I’m just embarrassed.”

“What got you sick? Was it the curse? I wouldn’t have sent you if I had known what it was, I’m so sorry.”

“You know?”

She nodded. “I looked up the report. A grade 2 sex curse. I'm so sorry.”

You shook your head. “Don’t worry it wasn’t the curse. I ate at the corner shop outside of my apartment cause I was running late, it was my own doing,” you lied.

“Y/N I told you not to eat there anymore, I got so sick last time I was there.” You nodded apologetic. “Then you were, like, actually sick, in front of Nanami. Oh my god, no wonder you’re embarrassed.”

“What did he say to you exactly?”

She smiled. “He picked up your phone on the last call before I was going to try him. And he assured me you were safe, just not feeling well.” She started laughing. “I asked him to send me evidence, because you can’t trust voices over the phone nowadays, you know, and he sent me this.” She pulled out her phone and showed you a selfie he took. Deadpanned as always. “Not an inch of emotion in his face. I’ve never seen him so ruffled up. His hair looks super messy, did the curse put up a fight?” You clenched your jaw as you felt your cheeks start to burn up, but tried to play it off.

“He said she could speak. And he demolished the place. The building owner was a perv so he decided to just tear the place apart.” You said quickly.

“He must’ve let all his frustrations out, damn.” She looked back up at you. “You look exhausted. Let me drive you home.”

You shook your head. “I can take the bus, I don’t want to bother you.” Akari could tell something was upsetting you and just nodded.

“Okay, but let me know when you get home.”

“Of course.”

   -

The bus ride was long, but usually you liked the way it gave you time to detach from your work. Today however, you were frustrated that it gave you more time to overthink everything. You closed your eyes and forced yourself to focus on something other than Nanami.

What were you going to have for breakfast tomorrow? It was your day off. You could go to the bookstore you liked. Or get up early to go to the bakery across town. You were always too late to get your favorite sandwich for lunch, it sold out quickly, but you could tomorrow.

You got off the bus and went inside your building up to your apartment, you walked quickly past the napping security guard who liked to hit on you sometimes. You sighed as you read the sign taped to the elevator. Out of business. You walked up seven flights of stairs quickly and rushed into your apartment. You put down your backpack and went straight into the shower.

You plopped down on your couch with a sigh and grabbed your phone off of the coffee table. You opened up the message Akari had sent and you were met by the selfie Nanami had taken.

-thought you’d like this, personally I don’t get it, but I support you. rest up, hope you’re feeling better.

You smiled.

-thank you, ari.     -let me know if nanami leaves any feedback for me

You stared at the message and decided to delete it.

    -appreciate you as always.

You exited out of your messages and went to check your bank account. You were slightly surprised. It was more than you had thought. Only by a couple hundred but it was enough.

You opened up your messages again and tapped on your mother’s name.

-I had a bit left over this week, I’ll send it to you now. Hope you’re doing well.

You proceeded to send her money. You thought about calling but you doubt she would answer.

Your situation was a bit difficult. Growing up it had just been you, your sister, and your mother. Your sister was seven years younger than you, and you had always been close, although that hadn’t been the case for quite some time now.

When you were eight your mother had woken you up in the middle of the night, with your baby sister and a small duffel bag in tow. The three of you had run away from the tiny smoky apartment your father had stuffed your family in. After that you had never lived in an apartment or house for more than a year at a time, your mother was constantly changing jobs, Taking up new hobbies, falling for pyramid schemes, or falling prey to loan sharks. It had always been something or the other. She was usually gone for hours on end, struggling to make ends meet, leaving you and your sister alone for much of your childhood. You grew up quickly and had basically raised her. You took on the extra responsibility young, but you never resented your mother for it. She was also doing her best.

As you had gotten older you began to realize you weren’t a typical kid. You often saw things others didn’t, or sensed some sort of presence when nothing was there. The other kids thought you were creepy and left you alone. Everything escalated when you were 16.

At that point in your life your mom had found some solid footing while working at a small church next to an apartment you’d moved into. She finally seemed happy, she had found herself “reborn” under the light of a savior and the longer you lived with her the more you saw her change. You had never really talked to her about the things you saw, the creatures on peoples shoulders as they walked by or the pair of eyes you felt on you coming from dark corners. But one day after coming home you sensed a strange energy from inside the apartment and once you entered you were met with the scene of your mother praying over a young woman, with a man you recognized as the pastor. You looked above them and noticed a large grotesque creature hanging off of the ceiling swinging himself on his gangly arms.

You stared at it, mouth agape. You had seen all types of creatures, but never one this big. Its bulbous eyes suddenly met yours and its head rotated in curiosity. A wicked forked tongue flickered out of its mouth at you and you screamed. The thing lunged at you and you somehow managed to dodge it as it swung towards you. You began to throw objects at it.

“Y/N! What's going on?” Your mother screeched. The creature grumbled as the objects clattered against it, but it still made its way to you. Running out of objects to throw, you reached under the couch and pulled out a baseball bat. It jumped at you again and you swung the bat down hard onto the top of its head. There was an ugly crack and the thing dropped in front of you. Purple goo oozed out of its head wound and spilled onto the floor.

“What happened? What are you doing!” Your mother stared at you in horror and the priest began to chant something.

“You don’t see it?” You asked in shock. “You don’t see this thing?” You were panicking.

“What are you talking about, what thing?”

“This!” You swung your bat down again on the creature, also wanting to make sure it stayed down. You hit it one last time and it suddenly blew up, exploding all over the apartment.

No one could see anything. The pastor hurried out of the apartment with the young woman, your mother stared at you in horror before following them out.

Your mother didn’t come back to the apartment for two days. Nor did your sister.

The pastor called to let you know they were staying at the church. You had an uncomfortable conversation, where he heavily implied your mother wouldn’t be coming back as long as you were still there.

So you left.

You hadn’t seen your mother again since that day. It had been 8 years. You still tried to keep in contact with her, although it was mainly one sided. You would send updates on how you were doing, wish her well on holidays, birthdays and the like, but she would never respond. The only time she answered was when you had texted her about getting a job and being able to send her money. She almost immediately sent you her bank information. Your younger sister had social media that you followed to keep up with them. They had stayed in that apartment without you. It was the longest you’d seen your mother stay in one place. She was happy, and you didn’t want to take that from her.

Besides, it had all worked out in the end. Thanks to a bit of an incident, you had found yourself under the care of an older lady running a small bakery for around six months after you’d left. That was until you had been approached by someone and been initiated into Jujutsu Tech.

There were only two other students in your year at the school and they had been rather cold to you. Having come in late, and not knowing anything about the sorcery world prior to the curse in your apartment, you were significantly lacking in almost all areas concerning sorcery.

What you did have was stamina, you were an endless supply of energy and didn’t seem to tire as easily. That, if anything, helped you survive the training, the games, the curses, all of it.

You decided to become an assistant during your fourth year. One of the other students, Yuri, planned to join the Zenin clan's personal army, while the other planned on mentoring under a professor at the Kyoto school to increase his ranking after graduation. You on the other hand were not so confident in your abilities.

You had made great strides in progress after having started from scratch, but you never developed a specialty. You had discovered that you were able to use a small amount of RCT, after an incident where Yuri had smashed your face with a staff during what was supposed to be a friendly practice. While you covered your face in pain and tried not to panic as blood gushed from your top lip, you felt the tear and without thinking put your hands up to push the pieces of your lip back together. By the time you went to the medic they said there was not much they could do as you had already healed it. However, with your inexperience you had healed it to a scarred state. They had explained that the small boost of adrenaline from your injury had allowed you to concentrate enough to heal. However the overall consensus from the higher up was that they were not interested in training you any further on it, or rather you weren’t worth training.

So here you were, having worked as a manager for the past 5 years, and still only having very little cursed energy. The two years prior were spent training under different managers until you could be trusted on your own. Akari had trained with you but at a faster rate. After all, you were sort of an outsider.

Your phone pinged as you received a message, snapping you out from the memory.

-he just asked me for your number and I gave it to him, let me know if he says anything crazy or inappropriate. He may be higher on the power scale, but remember my roots.

You stared in shock at Akari’s message. He had your number…why would he want it? You put your phone down. If he texted you, you didn’t want to see it. You curled up on your couch and bit at your nails. What had you gotten yourself into. You should have refused his advances. He wasn’t in his right mind. You cursed at yourself again, you should have thought about the consequences, the aftermath. It was going to be so awkward. You sighed and stared up at the ceiling.

Take a breath, you told yourself. You hardly ever saw him. Today had been the first time in the two years since Nanami had been back in the sorcerer world, that you had actually been in close proximity to each other. Alone anyway. You had seen him in meetings, briefly, that’s how this stupid crush had started. You didn’t really have to interact with him and you were fine acting like nothing had happened, sure you’d be a little sad, but that’s probably what he would want too. You bit your nails nervously. What would you do if he did want to see you?

You shook your head. There was no use in wishful thinking. He hadn’t given you any signs that he was interested after all. Sure, he had invited you into his place but you felt like it was just a formality. He had just rocked your shit after all. You thought back to the way he gripped the steering wheel and the glimpse of confusion when you had said it could have been anyone. What was that? Frustration? Over what?

You sat up as you remembered the pharmacy bag. You walked over to your small kitchen and grabbed a glass of water.

Sitting back down on the couch you glanced at your phone nervously. You didn’t want to flip it over. You sighed and reached for it. It was late, if you didn’t answer it wouldn’t be that strange and at least you’d be able to think of a response if he had said anything.

You checked your screen. Nothing. Somehow that hurt you a little. You tossed your phone again and laid down on the couch, closing your eyes. Whatever. You couldn’t do anything about it. Whatever happened had happened, and whatever was to come would be a problem for the future, no use worrying about it now. You slowly felt sleep take over and you dozed off.

-

You awoke to the sound of your phone buzzing, and after looking around blindly and half asleep you found it. You pushed a button and held it up to your ear. “Hello?” Nothing. “Hello?” You looked at the screen and rolled your eyes. It was just your alarm. You groaned and let your phone clatter to the ground.

That’s right, you had planned to get up early to go to the bakery across the city. You closed your eyes and took a deep breath. You got up sorely and yawned. You picked up your phone again and hesitantly checked your messages. Nothing. You didn’t know if that was better or worse.

After stretching and getting ready for the day you headed to the bus stop to go across town. You were going to relax completely today. You weren’t going to think about what happened. You weren’t going to think about him. You weren’t going to think about the meeting tomorrow. Your smile dropped. You had a meeting tomorrow morning with all the staff. Usually you wouldn’t have to worry since the higher grade sorcerers rarely showed up to the weekly meetings; however, they had announced this meeting would be mandatory, there had been some incidents related to the investigation of a child's death. Nanami would most likely be there. You scrunched your face. No use stressing about it now. You didn’t know how he would react and again, it was no use worrying about it.

After getting off on your stop you headed over to the bakery. You had gotten there right before the lunch rush. You went inside and were greeted by the girl that worked there. You smiled back and picked up a sandwich. You thought about grabbing two, one now and one for tomorrow's lunch. You smiled and looked around for a different kind of sandwich. You grabbed a bottle of water and went up to the cash register.

“Oh these are two of my favorite sandwiches.” The girl said.

You smiled warmly at her. “I don’t know which one I want to eat first, I’m saving one for my lunch tomorrow.”

“Hmmm, tough decisions.” You nodded in agreement.

You heard the doorbell ring behind you as someone came in.  “Hello, welcome-“ she stopped and stared for a bit before putting on a huge smile. “Oh hello Mr. Nanami! It’s great to see you today.”

You felt your face start to burn up and you froze. You stared down at the sandwiches. You could sense it was him. You took a deep breath. Relax, you told yourself. You turned around and immediately met his eyes. You smiled at him and bowed your head. He smiled back slightly and walked up to you.

“Good morning, Keiko.” Nanami said to the girl, there was no emotion in his voice.  “Good morning y/n, how are you doing today?”

You stared at him for a bit before answering. “I’m doing good. How are you?” You felt like you were being a bit cold but you didn’t know what else to say. Your brain was not working.

He nodded and looked down at your purchase. He added a sandwich and silently pulled out his wallet, and passed his card to Keiko. You stared at his hand and felt your cheeks blush again.

“Thank you.” You said quietly. He grabbed the bag, thanking Keiko and walked over to a small table. You followed and sat down across from him. He pulled his sandwich out and handed you the bag. He pulled the newspaper he had tucked under his arm out and laid it on the table.

“Thank you for buying my lunch.” You repeated. He nodded. He was so awkward. Or were you the awkward one? You didn’t know what his intentions were and you were getting frustrated. “Did you want to talk about yesterday?”

His face suddenly had a slight blush although he didn’t move. “Only if you would like to.”

“I-“ you didn’t know what to say. You were silent. You felt him watching you behind his glasses. You gripped the bag and took a deep breath. You’d already fucked the man, why were you nervous? You looked back up at him with new resolve. “I have some questions.”

He nodded in approval. “I do as well.” You were surprised, what could he possibly be curious about?

“You go first.” You said.

Keiko was suddenly coming towards the table with a coffee in hand. She set it infront of Nanami. “Sorry to interrupt.” She said before stepping back to the counter.

Nanami took the cup and blew on it. You watched anxiously, your frustration slowly building up. After a sip he put the cup down. “You can use RCT, why are you working as an auxiliary manager?” You were a bit taken aback. That’s what he wanted to ask you? He put a finger up to his shirt collar and slowly pulled down to show you his neck. You remembered now the injury he had sustained by the curse yesterday.

“When did I..” you murmured to yourself. You had forgotten that you had intended to patch him up. You had passed out instead. “I can only use a small amount. It’s nothing really.”

“You’re wasting your potential,” he said sternly. “You could be helping people.”

“I would hardly say that. Like I said, I barely have any cursed energy. I don’t know how I do it until the injury is in front of me. Besides, no one would teach me how to use it.” Nanami took another sip of his coffee. “Is that the only thing you wanted to ask me?” You said annoyed. Nanami hesitated to put the cup down.

“Are you angry at me?” He caught you off guard again.

You frowned. “No, I don’t think I am.” You thought about how to express your feelings. “I think, I think I’m more frustrated with you.” He gave you an inquisitive look. “I don’t know how you feel about what we did. Regret? Indifference? I know you’re not the type to really show your hand, but I’m not that way. I need to know because I don’t want to give off the wrong impression.”

“And what is that?”

You sighed. “I’m just going to be honest with you. We’re adults aren’t we?” You looked up at him. “I have feelings for you.” You blushed but didn’t dare look away. “I’m confused by what you- what we did. I know you were under some sort of influence and I can’t help but feel guilty about everything. The more I think about it the more it eats me up, I don’t think the lines of consent were crystal clear…but I don’t know how you feel about it. I’ll apologize profusely if I have to. Unless you feel differently… Basically..I want to understand your feelings before I can let myself feel anything else.” He didn’t react. “Okay?” You felt your face burn up, but you were proud that you were able to say all that to him. Wait, did any of that even make sense? You thought to yourself.

He was silent as he finished his coffee. Your stomach grew more and more tense as you waited for his response.

“I apologize for any miscommunication.” He said finally. “I’m afraid I’m not the best at expressing myself either. I’m not sure what to make of what happened yesterday. I will relieve some of your worries and tell you I hold nothing against you. In fact I’m grateful you were able to help me.” He looked down at the empty cup. “But to be honest I don’t know where to go from here either. I’m not interested in pursuing a relationship… I don’t believe romantic attachments are smart given our line of work, I don’t take these things lightly.” You scoffed. You couldn’t help it. “That being said,” he continued. “I would like to know where you want to go from here. As you said we’re both adults, I think it would be in our best interest to hear what each other would like.”

You just stared at him. “What is it that you want then?” He was swinging the next step back at you but you didn’t want that. You wanted to hear it from him first.

“As I said I’m not interested in-“

“Then we’ll pretend like nothing happened.” You said sharply. You didn’t want to hear it again. It was like you thought. He didn’t want you. It was never about you. He did like Akari, you had been a mistake. He stared at you silently. You took a deep breath. You looked up at him and smiled. “Okay.” You sighed. “Glad we got through that. I’m fine with doing that. I will say I’m a little embarrassed, but now I can work on getting over it.” You looked at the bag with your two sandwiches. You quickly picked it up. “Thank you for lunch today. We’ll call it even. Don’t worry about my shirt, otherwise I’d start to think about the dry cleaning bill for your suit.” You got up from your seat hastily.

You bowed and started to walk away. He grabbed the bag to stop you. “You are angry with me.”

You looked back at him and couldn’t hide your frown. “I’m hurt.” You mumbled. His brows furrowed. “I don’t think I was ready to talk to you. I apologize for how I’ve been acting. I still need time to process everything.” You turned away from him. “I…I’ll see you tomorrow.” As you walked away you noticed Keiko bringing another coffee towards the table. You smiled at her as you exited. You hurried towards the bus stop and stopped. The next bus would be there in 25 minutes. He would see you standing there. You groaned and walked past your stop. You pulled out your phone and called Akari.

She picked up almost immediately. “Hey, Y/N how are you today?”

“I need a drink.”

“It’s 11 am, girl.”

“I’ll be pregaming until you’re off. 8 work for you, at our usual spot?”

“We have a meeting tomorrow morning.”

“Since when has that ever stopped you?”

“It’s stopped you before. What’s wrong?”

You sighed. “Get me drunk enough and I’ll tell you.”

Akari sighed sarcastically. “If you insist.”

-

“Cheers!” You clinked your mug with Akari’s and Ijichi who had also decided to join you. You were already five drinks ahead of them and were feeling great. Good enough that you were trying to convince Akari to join you in performing karaoke next.

“Ijichi, you go up there with me then.”

He shook his head. “I won’t be any good.”

“Y/N why don’t you just go on by yourself, put on a good show.”

“You know what, I totally should.” You said smiling from ear to ear. You stood up and clapped wildly for the people who were currently performing. Some others joined you and cheered them on. You loved this place. Akari and you had stumbled into it one night and the warm ambience and amazing food had made you regulars.

You made your way to the stage and took the mic. You waved confidently as people cheered you on. You motioned to the DJ to play the next song. You laughed and clapped when you saw it was one of your favorites.

Cue “Dress Down” by Kaoru Makimoto

You were smiling, dancing, having the time of your life, almost getting to the last chorus of the song when you noticed more people coming towards your table. You waved cheerfully as you noticed Shoko, Ijichi must’ve invited her. You moved around the stage and your heart stopped. Nanami was also sitting down. You looked at him and your eyes met. He paused before sitting down all the way. You stopped singing for a bit.

He sat and turned his head away, you turned away as well. You sucked your teeth and kept singing. You were having a good time. You smiled again thinking about how ironic it was that you had run into him twice on the day you didn’t want to see him.

You finished the song and bowed dramatically as people cheered and clapped. You handed the mic off to a girl dragging her boyfriend on stage and gave them a thumbs up.

“You’re quite energetic,” Shoko said to you as you sat down next to Akari.

“She’s 7 beers in, I’d be surprised if she wasn’t.” Akari said.

“Rough day?”

You smiled at Shoko and scrunched your face. “Rough life.”

“Cheers to that.” She raised her mug and everyone around raised theirs as well.

“Cheers!” You gulped down your drink and let your eyes go to Nanami who was silent. You smirked. “Who’s doing karaoke next? I can’t be the only one who does it tonight.”

“Ijichi san, you should go up there.” Shoko said after downing her entire beer.

Ijichi blushed, “Ah, I don’t think I’ll be any fun to watch.” You smiled and snuck a glance at Akari. It was so obvious he had a crush on her.

“Come on Ijichi, as long as you have fun it doesn’t matter.” You said playfully shoving him. “Or do a group performance.” You looked up at Nanami. “You and Nanami, now that I would love to see.” You laughed and Shoko smiled amused.

“Have you really had 7 drinks already?” Nanami asked.

You squinted your eyes at him and smiled. “Is that a challenge?” You chugged down the beer in front of you. “Ah, how refreshing. 8 now!”

“She’s very good at handling her drinks.” Akari said. “Well, beer anyways.”

You furrowed your eyebrows at her. “That was one time!” You laughed and waved down the waitress. “Let’s get another round. Is anyone else starving?”

The night went on and you and Shoko chatted up realizing you had a lot in common. You ended up doing two more karaoke songs. One with Akari and thanks to Shoko, you managed to convince Ijichi to go up with you. You and him performed like your life depended on it. And the crowd ate it up. You were smiling from ear to ear again. You weren’t gonna let Nanami make you upset in your own space. In fact, why were you even upset? Was it so bad that he wanted to pretend like nothing happened? If anything it made things easier. You weren’t exactly in any position to date, especially not someone higher up. You smiled and waved at Akari from the stage. She smiled and waved back and you noticed Nanami talking to her. Your smile faltered but you just took another drink before looking at Ijichi and singing again.

Good for them. You would do anything for Akari, so stepping aside for her to be with him wouldn’t be a problem. You only had a crush.

You finished up the song and headed back to the table. “-you’re making it obvious.” You caught the tail end of Shoko and Nanami’s conversation.

“Where did Akari go?” You asked.

“Bathroom.” Shoko said. “You should quit your day job and become an entertainer Y/N, the crowd loves you.”

You smiled. “The old timers here love me, I don’t think it would translate well outside.” You laughed. “Besides, they loved Ijichi too! If I do quit you have to join me in my new career.”

“We’d miss him terribly.” Shoko said. Ijichi blushed again and you laughed.

“Very true, cheers!” You raised your glass. You weren’t sure how many drinks you had downed at this point. “To Ijichi and everything he has to put up with.”

“Cheers!”

Akari came back to the table and plopped down next to you. “We should wrap up soon. We have a meeting in the morning.” You pouted. She gave you a look. “It’s almost 2 am.”

“Oh!” You said surprised. “You all let me drag you out for so long?” You stood up and bowed dramatically. “Thank you for indulging my night out.”

Shoko smiled. “Anytime, you’re a star.” She winked at you playfully.

“Shoko, marry me please.” you said clasping your hands together jokingly.

She laughed and finished her drink. “I’d have to get in line.” Nanami shot her a look and you laughed. “You should come out with us more. Ijichi, Nanami, Utahime, and I go out for drinks every other week or so.” She looked at Akari. “You too dear. The sane sorcerers have to stick together.”

Nanami excused himself to use the restroom. Shoko smirked once he was gone. “He’s going to try to pay the bill but I already got it.”

You looked at her shocked. You grabbed her hands. “Shoko, please marry me.” She laughed again.

“Where have you been all my life?” she said smiling.

“Want me to drive you home?” Akari asked you.

You nodded and slapped your hands together again this time bowing down to her. “Yes please.”

“Of course!” She said proudly.

“Let me run to the bathroom real quick.”

You excused yourself and headed towards the bathrooms in the back. You smiled as you passed people, you hated to admit it but you were a bit buzzed. You were a little extra friendly when you were like this. You laughed to yourself. It was fine as long as you didn’t run into- you saw him coming out of the bathroom and walking towards you. The hallway to the bathrooms was rather narrow. There was enough space for two people to stand side by side but not much. He looked straight ahead as if he wasn’t even going to acknowledge you. Oh well, you thought. You continued on merrily.

As you passed him you felt his hand brush past yours and felt him slightly tug on your sleeve. It was quick but you felt your heart flutter and you stopped.

“Nanami.” You said as you turned to look at him. He stopped but didn’t turn around. “Why did you do that?” He was silent, still not turning. You walked back towards him standing inches away. You quickly looked past him, ensuring no one was approaching. You grabbed his sleeve. “Is anyone coming?”

“No.” He said.

You sighed and dragged him into the bathroom.

You quickly locked the door behind you. The amount of times you had accidentally walked into a couple being intimate was astounding. He stood a couple of feet away from you and stared. You turned back to him and smiled. “I know what this looks like, but I just want to talk. Really.” You put your arms up to wave your hands. “I’m a little tipsy but if anything I have the words to say what I finally want to say. Let’s talk.” He stepped closer to you, closing the gap in an instant. “Oh fuck.” You said taken aback, he had pinned your back against the door.

“I don’t want to talk.” He said gruffly. Moving his lips closer to your ear.

“Obviously. I don’t think you said a single thing to me out there. Are you-“

“Are you really okay with forgetting what we did? It didn’t bother you? It didn’t leave an impression?”

“Now you have questions.” You couldn’t take him seriously. The alcohol was not helping. You looked up at him and smiled coyly. “You want the truth?” He just stared at you. You leaned your head closer to him and pressed your cheek to his so you could whisper in his ear. “You took my virginity.” You kissed his cheek as you pulled your face back. You looked at him and his face was red. You giggled and put your hands up to cup his face. “I couldn’t forget you if I tried.” He slowly moved his face closer and you leaned in to kiss him.

You both suddenly and passionately kissed each other, Nanami wrapping his hands around your body to pull you closer. He was almost as desperate as he had been in the car; tugging on your lips and rolling his tongue into yours. You winced as his glasses poked into your face and he quickly took them off. You stopped for a bit and smiled at him. “You’re beautiful.” You said giggling.

He furrowed his brows and moved forward to kiss you again. He pinned you back against the wall again and you hoisted yourself up by his shoulders to wrap your legs around his waist. He steadily rocked into you and you moaned as his bulge hit your sensitive clit. You grinded desperately back on him. You shuddered as you were already coming close and you moaned into his mouth. “Nanami, wait.” You removed your arms from his shoulders and lowered yourself. You slid down onto your knees and worked on his belt. You giggled to yourself, you were feeling bold. You hungrily pulled out his cock and smiled as he tensed. You wrapped your hand around him and he let out a breath. You licked a long stripe and smiled as you watched him grow red. You took the tip in your mouth, swirling your tongue over the top, but he suddenly moved your face back.

“If we do that, I won’t be able to control myself.” You laughed and frowned, feigning upset. “I don’t want to ruin your pretty face tonight.” He pulled his pants further down and lifted you up to stand. “Your cunt on the other hand…”

You smiled. “You’re good.” You quickly pulled down your safety shorts and underwear as he pulled you up by your waist, allowing  you to wrap your arms around his shoulders for stability. Using his knee he pushed your legs open and moved a hand down to steady you before teasing your folds by rubbing up on them. “Hurry, they’re going to notice we’re-“ he entered you and you gasped. You were still a bit sore from yesterday, but once again he was hitting that spot that sent tingles into your stomach. “Fuck!”

He smiled and started rocking his hips into you. Kissing you and muttering words of praises. You felt your climax rapidly approaching and you couldn’t help but moan and buckle your hips wildly against him. You felt him speed up and you were suddenly in total bliss. You felt the heat quickly build up inside you before it flooded your entire body. You climaxed and felt yourself clamp down on him. “Fuck.” He said as he slammed his hips into you deeper and deeper before settling there with a final jut and coming deep inside of you. His grunts as he came made you smile and you peppered kisses on his face. He put a hand up under your chin and guided you to kiss his lips. You pulled back and smiled at him happily.

There was suddenly a knock on the door and your head snapped towards it, startled. “Y/N you in there?” It was Akari. “Are you okay? Is your stomach upset again?”

You felt Nanami slide out and he quickly grabbed some toilet paper to collect what oozed out of you. “Yeah, it’s me. Sorry. I guess it wasn’t the best idea to go out drinking after I fucked up my stomach yesterday.” Thank you, you mouthed to Nanami who had wiped you clean and was now wiping himself. “Did everyone else leave?”

“Nanami still isn’t back. Shoko said he might have gone out for a smoke, I didn’t know he smoked honestly.” You looked back at Nanami and he shook his head. I don’t. He seemed to say.

“Okay, just give me like 3 minutes and I’ll be out there, I’m sorry.”

“You’re good!” Nanami looked at you with pleading eyes.

“Come home with me,” he whispered. You blushed and considered it.

“I..I can call a taxi if you want to go ahead and go home, I honestly might be longer.”

You heard Akari laugh from the other side of the door. “It’s no problem, god knows you’ve seen me worse. Actually do you want to just spend the night at my place and we can head to work together? I do live closer so you’ll get to sleep in a bit more.”

Nanami shook his head and you frowned at him. “That sounds good.” He looked upset. You smiled slightly. He was way more expressive without his glasses. “Tell the others I’ll be right out. They can go without me.”

“Okay, I’ll tell them there was a line. Your secret is safe with me.”

“You know I love you right.” You said to Akari. You heard her laugh again.

“Shoko was right earlier, she has to get in line, I’m gonna marry you first.” You heard her walk away.

“Why won’t you come with me?” Nanami asked seriously.

Your smile dropped as you thought about it. You shrugged. “I don’t know you. I don’t think it would be appropriate.”

“Really?” He said in an annoyed tone, as he zipped up his pants and handed you your underwear. You rolled your eyes and smiled at him. You reached up to take your panties when he playfully raised them higher. “Let me help you with that.” he lowered his arm and lowered himself down, opening the band to let you slip your legs into them. He slowly slid them up your legs, letting his fingers trace your skin. He stood back upright and hovered his face in front of yours smiling mischievously. You blushed and slipped on the rest of your bottoms.

You sighed as you wrapped your arms around his shoulder and he gently placed his hands on your waist. “You said it yourself, you’re not interested in pursuing a relationship with me.”

“I-“

You shook your head and cut him off. “Why would you take me home other than to just fuck me again? I have a bit more self respect than that. Besides, I told you I had feelings for you. I don’t want to give myself hope.” You looked down, feeling a bit somber. “I don’t know why we keep running into each other like this, but I know I don’t have your heart even in the slightest. I know I’m not who you were hoping for.” He looked at you confused. He opened his mouth to speak but you kissed him to shut him up. “You need to start carrying around condoms, you’re going to get someone pregnant like this. Wait two minutes before you walk out.” You quickly slipped out of his embrace and opened the door.

“Y/N, wait.”

You closed the door behind you and looked at the person waiting to go in. “I’d wait for the other bathroom to open up, give this one time to air out. I’m sorry.” You said and walked away. As you walked you noticed how sore your lower abdomen was. The alcohol was wearing off and what you had just done was slowly sinking in.

You shut the car door and put your seat belt on wordlessly. “You okay? I’ve never seen you so quiet after drinking.” Akari said, breaking you out of your daze.

You looked at her and considered telling her everything. “Akari…” she looked at you with a questioning look. She smiled.

“You know, Nanami was asking questions about you while you were up singing with Ijichi.”

“What?”

“It was little things. Like he kept asking for clarity on things whenever we brought you up. I don’t know if you even noticed.”

“What kind of things?”

“Well he was asking how long you’ve been here. He seemed to know that you’d joined the school when you were 16, during Ijichi’s third year. But he wanted to know how you did.”

“What did you tell him?” you asked.

“Eh, I said something about how your classmates were assholes. But that doesn’t matter. He also asked about your relationship status.” She glanced at you with a cheeky smile. You gave her a blank stare. “Well, not directly, but Shoko asked about my dating life and I told them how we were both hopeless, and I may have mentioned that date you went on where the American called you exotic and tried to grab your ass.” She laughed as she remembered. “He smiled when I mentioned you kicked his ass.”

You smiled and she seemed happy that you were more relaxed. “I could just tell he was interested in you, and you know I’m good at reading people.”

“You’re too flattering.” You said. “I don’t think he’s interested in me like that.”

“You’d be surprised, maybe he feels connected with you after he saw your IBS crisis.” She laughed. “Too soon? I’m sorry.”

You smiled and shook your head. You felt a burning in your chest. “You don’t think he was talking so much because he was into you? He didn’t talk to me at all.”

Akari scoffed. “If he was into me I’d turn him down immediately.” She frowned. “If I didn’t know his age I would have thought he was in his late thirties, and I’m not into dudes that much older. You know I like them hot and stupid.”

“That hasn’t worked out so well for you in the past, maybe it’s time to change it up.”

Akari furrowed her brows. “Why are you pushing him on me, fight for your man, girl.”

You slumped back into your seat. “I’m telling you he doesn’t like me like that.”

She rolled her eyes. “And why are you so sure?”

“Because he told me so.” You muttered.

“What?” She suddenly got serious.

“...Can you keep a secret?”

“What happened? Y/N??” She looked over at you. “Hang on, we're almost at my place. I need to be all ears.”

“You can’t tell anyone, and you can’t judge me.”

“Wait! Don’t tell me anymore!”

Akari quickly parked the car and ran out. She practically pushed you all the way into her apartment and onto her couch. She quickly poured you another drink before pouring one for herself.

“Okay,” she handed you the cup. “I had a feeling something happened, you’ve been acting so weird.”

“You wanna take a guess?” You said before taking a drink.

She hesitated. “My gut was telling me that something happened with the curse he exorcised yesterday. And I thought that maybe it had gotten to you and you were overly flirty and confessed or something.”

“We had sex.”

She choked on her drink. “What!”

You buried your head in your hands and groaned. “The curse injured him and infected him with lust. I was just standing outside the barrier. I was checking my phone when he came stumbling out into the car, and well…things escalated and…yeah.”

Akari looked at you in shock. She put her drink down. “He didn’t report an injury. Was he in his right mind?”

You understood what she was implying. “He wasn’t violent. The opposite actually. I was surprised too, he wouldn’t let me tend to his wound.” You took another drink. “It was great.”

She still looked concerned. “But he told you he wasn’t into you.”

You frowned. “We didn’t really talk much afterwards. I think he was more embarrassed or maybe he regretted it… Anyway I ran into him at the bakery that I like and we talked for a bit there.” You sighed as you remembered. “I confessed that I liked him and he said he wasn’t interested in a relationship with me, so I said we should forget everything that happened.”

“I’m sorry.” Akari said. “What an asshole, I bet he said it just like that too. He’s so blunt. You didn’t deserve that.” She looked at you. “I’m sorry he showed up tonight. I can’t imagine how awkward that must have been for you. But I’m serious. He was asking little things about you. So maybe there’s hope?” She turned her head and scowled, “If it was me I wouldn’t want to see the bastard.”

You took a deep breath, you didn’t want to tell her about the bathroom. Not that it was wrong, you just wanted time to process everything. You frowned. You had just ruined his chances with her, you were painting him out to be a villain. “He was very sweet though. I understand where he’s coming from. I mean, I don’t think he really had any control over his mood and I should have turned him down. I have regrets too. I think it’ll be easier to just forget. If he does want something he should be the one to approach me.” You laid back on the couch. “The shittier thing to do would have been not to acknowledge it at all. He’s a good guy, it’s just like you said. He’s blunt.” You smiled at Akari. “This is our secret, okay?”

Akari nodded looking at you sympathetically. “Of course.” She came closer to you and hugged you. “Other than the mess, I’m glad he was nice to you. You pulled your long-time crush, that’s powerful girl.”

You smiled and hugged her back silently.

You both went to bed shortly after and you were left alone with your thoughts.

The bathroom. He had said he didn’t want to talk, fucked you, and even wanted to take you home. This sort of contradicted your theory of him liking Akari, right? No, he just thinks you’re easy. You frowned. You should have let him speak before you cut him off…twice. You’d just been afraid that what he’d say would hurt your feelings.

You tossed and turned thinking about him, remembering his touch, his lips. Despite it all he had been so gentle, so desperate to have you again. It hurt your feelings thinking about it. He had done all that but he didn’t really want you. You sighed, if he asked to have you again, would you do it?, you wondered. Yes, you decided, feeling hopeless. You felt very strongly about him and despite him not reciprocating your feelings, yours hadn’t diminished. You might have liked him more, or at least the idea of him more. You slowly dozed off.

You were pretty quiet the next morning and Akari let you just exist. She drove you to work, talking about things here and there but not bringing him up. You were grateful for her. “You know I do love you.”

Akari smiled as she turned off the ignition to the car. “I’ve always got your back.”

You both rushed into the meeting room afraid of being late but when you got there, there were only two other managers including Ijichi, and Principle Yaga sitting silently with a frown on his face.

You checked your watch. There were two minutes until the meeting was supposed to start. No other sorcerers were here. You sat down next to Akari and Ijichi. You looked at the empty chair beside you and for a moment thought about switching sides with Akari but you decided it was too much. You were thinking too much about it. He was not going to sit next to you, that would have been bold and stupid.

Suddenly the door opened and Shoko walked in giving you and Akari a smile. Two more sorcerers came in with a minute to spare. You watched the clock strike 7 and the door opened again. You didn’t have to look up to know who it was, his aura gave him away. You heard him head in your direction and you whipped your head in surprise as you heard the chair next to you slide out and Nanami sit down.

You clenched your jaw and felt Akari poke you from the other side. You looked at her.

You okay? She asked with her eyes. You nodded and rolled your eyes with a smile. She smiled back. You didn’t turn to look at him.

This wasn’t the first time he had sat next to you in a meeting. The first time you had been way more nervous. It was about a year and a half ago; after he had just rejoined Jujutsu society. You had already started crushing on him and he had asked you for a pen to jot down some small detail about a schedule change. The rest was history.

Your thoughts were interrupted when the doors burst open and you heard a familiar chuckle. “Okay, okay, we can start now. I’m here!” Gojo. He walked in cockily and sat down in the front row of seats. Yaga gave him a scrutinizing look before standing up, ready to start.

“You’re just the man I wanted to see, I have a mission for you.” Yaga grumbled. Gojo yawned in response. “Good morning everyone, I’ll make this short.” He shuffled some papers. “An update on the Okkotsu case, the boy’s violence has escalated resulting in the death of three high school students on Thursday evening. Yesterday Kisagari and Harutomi were sent to investigate and were instructed to bring the boy back.” He clenched his jaw. “They did not check in last night and upon further investigation Harutomi was found dead this morning a little outside the school grounds.”

The room went silent. You frowned, this was more serious than anticipated. Both of the sorcerers were grade two, it came as a shock that one of them was dead.

“Satoru, can I rely on you to pick up where they left off?”

Gojo stretched his arms and leaned back on his chair. “Of course,” he responded.

Yaga went over some other brief reminders before dismissing the meeting. You’d volunteered to deliver some items the school was exchanging with the Kanagawa Prefecture Cultural Museum. You stayed in your chair a little longer reading over the file Akari handed you. Nanami slowly got up from his chair and you could sense him staring at you. He probably wanted to talk. You owed him that much. You turned to look at him but before you could say anything Ijichi appeared next to him.

“I’m ready to head out whenever you are.” He said to Nanami.

Nanami turned to him and nodded. “Let’s go.”

You looked at Nanami but he turned away and started heading towards the door. You frowned and turned back to the papers in front of you.

“You okay?” Akari said.

You looked at her and smiled. “Yeah, I think I’m over it. It was a one night stand situation, I’m overthinking it.” She didn’t look convinced but you shook your head. “Believe me I’m not angry or hurt. Life’s too short for that.”

    -

You headed out to your school assigned car and sat down. You glanced at the back seat in the rear view mirror. You felt your cheeks get hot as you remembered what had happened, and smacked your hands to the sides of your face. You could try to talk to him later…maybe.

As you drove towards Naka you thought about what you might eat for lunch. Along with bringing the items to the museum and picking up the ones they were trading, you were to go around and check the shrines in the area. You’d had a mission around here a while ago and remembered a soba restaurant close to the museum. Since you had spent the night at Akari’s you didn’t have the sandwich you had planned to eat today. Oh well, you thought, at least I wasn't the one that paid for it.

You noticed you were getting close and called ahead to the museum. “Good morning, this is Y/N with Jujutsu Tech. I'm about 30 minutes away.”

“Oh perfect,” A woman answered. “Head towards the employee parking, we’ve told the guard to let you in. By the way, we came across a new artifact donated by the estate of one of our late patrons. It looks very old and was kept in a special box, would you be able to take it to get it assessed?”

“Yes of course!” You were a little hesitant to pick up unregistered cursed objects but usually it was no big deal. Especially if it was kept in a special box. It would be fine.

As you walked into the back of the museum, a shiver went up your spine and you got a terrible feeling in your gut. You took a deep breath and went in, a little on edge. You went to the room you’d been instructed to and waited. Some of the items you were expecting to pick up were already laid out. An old cursed katana in need of restoration and a few Edo period items. You put down the box you were carrying. You were exchanging these items for an ancient tea set from the Nara period that was in prime condition and a painting scroll from around the same time.

“Sorry for running a little late.” You jumped as a voice came from behind you. You tensed as you turned, you hadn’t even felt the person’s presence.

“Oh, no problem, I’m Y/N.”

“Yes, yes, this is the item I spoke to you on the phone about.”

The lady put down an intricately decorated green box about 6 inches long and 4 wide. “We just got it in this morning. Our staff decided to open it to see what was inside, but only found one small object wrapped in a sort of paper wrap with writing on it. We couldn’t decipher the language, but right after we opened it the lights in the museum went out so we closed it.” She laughed nervously. “None of us are very superstitious, but we did get spooked.”

She picked up the box to hand it to you. You grabbed it but felt that she had a tight grip on it. You pulled a little harder to take it from her but she just stared at the box. “Ma’am?” You pulled again but her grip hadn’t faltered.

“I just…would like to see it one more time.”

“I don’t think that’s a good-“ she yanked the box back and quickly lifted the locking notch to open the box. She stared inside.

You went around her to look inside as well and gasped. You knew what this was. You had only seen one brought to the school when you were a student. It was one of Ryomen Sukuna’s fingers. You quickly shut the box and yanked it out of her hands.

“I’ll take it from here.” She seemed to snap out of her daze and nodded.

“Yes- uh. Let me find a box to put these loose items in so you can carry them easier. Excuse me.” The lady left the room and you stared at the box in shock. You needed to get this out of here.

You quickly pulled your phone out and called the school.

“Hello, this is Y/N. I’m picking up items from the Kanagawa Cultural Museum and they have given me one of Ryomen Sukuna’s fingers.”

The person on the other end let out a small noise. “Is it bound?”

“It’s wrapped in a talisman and contained in an emerald box.”

“Okay... We can send the closest available sorcerers to assist you in ensuring it gets returned to the school without interruptions. Do not worry about your other tasks, the finger is the new priority.” You looked back at the box nervously. “Do you know if they unraveled the talisman?”

“They opened the box and examined the finger but quickly closed it back up. The finger appears to still be partially wrapped in the box.”

“We should assume they unwrapped the finger, even if it was only for a little bit, so there might be curses coming that way, and the talisman is probably weakened if not all together useless.” The guy sighed on the phone. “You said this was Y/N correct.”

“Yes.”

He was silent. “Take the finger and run, you won’t be able to handle whatever curses are coming your way.”

You were hurt by his comments but knew it was true. You thanked him and hung up. You looked at the door. The lady was taking a while. You quickly began to unload your box and started loading the other contents into it. The sword was going to stick out too much so you quickly stuck it to your hip using your belt. You placed the finger in last and picked up the box. You went back into the hallway and once again felt the energy sour.

You headed towards the exit when you noticed a shoe in the hallway. You clenched your teeth. It was a woman’s high heel, the same kind the lady had been wearing earlier. Your instincts told you to run to the car but then a smell hit your nose. Blood. Blood and the sickeningly bitter scent of a curse.

Run. Your body was telling you to run. You were close to the exit, the car was parked right outside the door. You started to move your legs and turned towards the exit. You had been told the nearest sorcerers were heading your way. Someone else would be here to help. You would just get in the way and end up dying. You couldn’t fight, not well anyway. You didn’t have any weapons, you needed to leave, you needed to - you stopped in your tracks as you heard a small noise. You listened intently.

“Help!” It was a whisper. “Please.” An agonizing voice coming from behind you. You turned trying to find the voice. “Help.” It was coming from the hallway to your left. You hesitated. You blinked and took a deep breath. You clutched the boxed items closer to yourself and your hand went to the katana on your hip. It was old and rusted but it was something, you weren’t completely unarmed. You quickly went toward the noise and peeked around the corner.

You stood there shocked. The lady was sitting on the floor, her back to the wall, her face twisted in pain. She had a deep purple bruise on her right ankle and her left foot was gone. It looked like it had been hastily bit off. Where she was bleeding there was a small yellow curse lapping up the blood.

“Help! Help me! Help.” She started yelling as she saw you approach. You ran over to her and shushed her. The little yellow curse didn’t even notice you, it was too busy drinking the blood, but it was growing in size. You put the box down next to her and looked at her wound. It was big, an injury like this required immediate attention. Your mind raced as you thought about what to do. You could try to heal it, try to use your RCT. However you had no medical knowledge whatsoever so the chances of you messing it up were greater than you fixing it. But you had to do something. Even if you didn’t understand, stopping the bleeding or scabbing it over would help tremendously.

I don’t have enough CE for this, you thought bitterly. It would take a lot. You looked at the little creature in front of you and something clicked in your brain. You couldn’t explain it but you just knew what to do. You grabbed the creature by the base of its neck. It didn’t even flinch, it was too preoccupied consuming the trickling blood. That was until it started shrinking, its fingers curling, the tips of its ears wilting and then it started thrashing in your hands.

You were absorbing its cursed energy. Your hand burned as you felt the rotten energy enter you. Your veins ached and you winced, feeling like you were going to be sick. The input was foul, you felt like you needed to expel it, quickly. You placed your other hand on the bloody stump and tried to focus on your reverse cursed technique. You laughed when you noticed something was happening only to flinch as the creature started to kick and scratch at you. You slammed it onto the floor trying to subdue it. It became more and more withered as you became accustomed to the feeling of absorbing its energy. The wound was looking much better. Almost.

The yellow creature let out one final shriek before it completely deflated. The lady’s ankle was now a hardened scab. You knew it hadn’t healed completely but it wasn’t going to get any worse. You looked up and saw that she was staring horrified at your hand wrapped around the stump. In your other hand, the curse was now a grey lump of flesh. You clenched your fist and it disintegrated into ash.

You looked up at the lady and let go of her leg. “We need to get outside.” Once outside you could make a veil and prevent whatever was inside from getting out. You had quickly deduced that the small yellow curse was not the one that had done the damage. There was something bigger and stronger and it was looking for the finger.

You grabbed the green box with the finger, tucking it under your arm as you helped the lady up, letting her lean on you as you started for the door. You quickly hobbled there together. You were going to make it. You were two feet from the door. One foot. Your hand reached out to push when you suddenly felt the wind get knocked out of you. Your mouth flew open and released a stream of blood. The world went black for a second and you felt yourself falling. You came to, right before you hit the ground and regained your balance. You turned around quickly but your body was overcome with pain. Your hand went to your abdomen, you had broken some ribs. But what had hit you? You looked over at the lady and saw she was unconscious. “Shit.” You slid her off your shoulder and looked around for a curse. Nothing. You quickly checked her pulse. She was breathing. You sighed and stood up looking around.

The box! You looked around the floor for it. You had dropped it when you had been hit. It was nowhere to be found. “Fuck, fuck, fuck.” You realized now the curse had probably slammed into you while trying to get the box. You had to get it back and fast. You stopped. No this isn’t right. I need to get this lady to safety and set a veil. I need to wait for the closest sorcerer to arrive, I can’t fight. You heard screaming from the hallway again. You clenched your jaw. You were terrified.

You looked down at the lady and quickly picked her up. You were right by the door. You pushed open the door wheezing a little and trying your best to ignore the pain as she leaned into your broken ribs. You set her down on the steps outside and turned to the building. The curtain! you needed to put one up. You lifted a hand and muttered your phrase.

You opened your phone and dialed the school. The same person picked up. “The situation has escalated. I was attacked and the curse got a hold of the finger. So far there's only been one confirmed injury, but I think many others are in danger. I’ve placed a veil for now,” you said.

“Stay put, help is almost there.” You looked back at the building and frowned. You hung up. You heard another yell and your stomach dropped. You felt yourself tearing up. There had to be something you could do. You needed to do something, anything, you couldn’t just stand there while everyone inside was in danger. It wasn’t fair.

You felt your body move and before you realized, you found yourself stepping into the veil. You quickly went to the door and stepped back into the building. You saw more of the little yellow creatures climbing up and down the walls. You counted seven. They were all moving towards the same place. Looking along the wall, you spotted what you were looking for and quickly hobbled over to push the fire alarm.

The alarm rang in your ears. You coughed and winced as more blood came out of your mouth. Your chest ached with every step, every breath, but you kept going. Someone was yelling for help. Without thinking you snatched one of the little yellow curses and started absorbing it. You were careful not to heal your own wounds. You’d been able to help the lady, but with little understanding of internal anatomy, something told you you’d do more damage than good.

You turned the corner and found a man in shock staring at where his hand once was. You rushed over and grabbed it with your free hand exerting the cursed energy into it. The little fiend shriveled in your hand again as the wound scabbed over.

As the alarm cycled you hoped people in the museum were evacuating. Since you were in the employee backrooms you couldn’t tell. The man stared at his hand traumatized and you left him there to try to find the creature. The closer you felt you got, the more of the little yellow demons swarmed the walls, like vultures waiting for prey. You pushed past twenty trying to get through a door frame and you were surprised to see that there were at least a hundred in the next room. The curse you were looking for was there too.

It was a large pudgy creature, around 6 feet tall with frog-like features. It had grubby hands and ornate green stripes along its back. It was muttering something, you couldn’t make out the phrase. It had a disembodied human hand in its mouth and it was sucking on the exposed wrist draining it of blood. Every time it slurped, the fingers of the hand would contract open and closed. It made your stomach uneasy.

The curse didn’t notice you coming in, it was too preoccupied trying to open the emerald box. You noted the curse had it backwards and was trying to pry it open on the side with the hinges. You didn’t know how much longer you had. You debated what to do. In this room the curse was isolated, it couldn’t access any more victims and hopefully a majority, if not all, of the people in the museum had evacuated. There was a sorcerer on the way, you could leave it here or wait outside of the door to direct them towards the curse.

But the finger….You could get it while it was distracted, or at least try to. You had the katana and even though it was old, it was still a weapon. As you pondered what to do you noticed the room had gone silent. The creature was still mumbling and trying to get the box open but the other small yellow creatures had gone quiet. You put your hand on the hilt of the katana once again uneasy. You made your decision. Even if you were useless you could buy some time. You slowly crept closer and closer to the curse. You took a quiet breath before pulling out the sword and swinging it at the monster's neck.

The sword hit the curse’s flesh with a loud thunk. It was blunt. Practically useless. The creature stopped struggling with the box and its head quickly turned to look at you. It had two sets of eyes, although they all seemed to be looking in different directions. Suddenly the curse made a dive at you, mouth open ready to bite.

You attempted to dodge to the right but you were too slow to completely move out of the way. You felt a cool sensation on your arm and you turned to see your left arm in a sorry state. The skin on your forearm and elbow was gone. Blood poured out and you could only stare in horror. The pain hit you all at once and you barely managed to turn away from your arm, trying to locate where the curse was now. It was staring at you seemingly confused as to how it had missed you, the sliver of your flesh hanging down out of its mouth like a tongue.

It looked like it was going to charge at you again and as you started backing away you realized your back was to the wall. It realized this too and moved forward at a ridiculous speed. All you managed to do was bring up the old katana. You shut your eyes embracing yourself for the fatal blow but you only felt the curses’ plump body falling into you, wriggling around. The sword was in your hand but your wrists were twisted awkwardly around the handle and you realized it had become stuck in the creature's mouth. You let go and pushed against the creature with your leg.

In its shocked state, it stumbled backwards and you were able to see what had happened. It had opened its mouth wide and lodged the katana between the top of his mouth and his jaw. He couldn’t shut it. It reached desperately to try to pry it out but its stubby arms couldn’t reach inside its own mouth.

You quickly took advantage of its distraction to try to locate the green box. You spotted it on the ground in the middle of the room. You looked back at the creature making sure it was still distracted and started sneaking away.

It suddenly let out a loud screech and its body started contorting. Its head grew bigger and smaller, arms longer and shorter. It seemed to be trying to molt out of its body to get rid of the sword. But no matter how much it twisted and yelled the sword wouldn’t come out. You wondered for a second, what kind of curse was imbued on the sword.

You took another step away and suddenly the creature’s attention snapped back to you. You tried to make a run for it but it hurtled its way in front of you and slammed you back into the wall.

You yelled out weakly, more blood spilling from your mouth and your left arm sending a shooting pain throughout your body as your exposed muscle stained the wall with your blood. The curse moved its hands to your neck and lifted you up, choking you against the wall. You desperately tried to inhale and tried not to panic, but the combination of the pain and lack of oxygen wasn’t letting you think clearly. You kicked desperately at the curse but it wasn’t budging. You put your hands up to its wrists and tried to budge them to no avail.

As you started to see dots, your kicks got weaker. You felt its grip tighten and your hands fell weakly onto its arms. You began trying to take the energy out. Your body felt almost as if it was on autopilot. No air and feeling defeated, you started to allow the cursed energy you were absorbing into you entirely. You felt a burning sensation on your arm and coming from inside your chest. Your entire body felt hot as you felt things fixing themselves. You also noticed the grip around your neck had faltered some as you took a desperate and choppy gulp of air. That little flow of oxygen allowed you to think a little more clearly as you kept absorbing the CE.

You didn’t want to finish healing yourself but you needed to put the energy somewhere. You looked at the curse in front of you. Its face was right in front of your chest. You reached down with your right hand and grabbed the blade of the katana. You began transferring the energy into it. You felt the sword get hot and push back, almost as if it was refusing the new input of CE, but after gripping the steel tighter you felt the sword lose its dullness.

The rust started to fall away and the metallic sheen of the blade began to glow. The edge of the sword was becoming very sharp. You wanted to let go but found that your hand was bound to it, the transfer requiring more and more CE and blood and pain. You felt the blade cut into your palm and you ground your teeth. You needed to stop. You ripped your hand away from the blade and removed your hand from the curse’s arm. You quickly put your hands into the curse’s mouth and grabbed its teeth and lip. You pulled its upper jaw down hard for it to close its mouth and watched as the newly sharpened sword point pierce through the creature’s palate and skewered out through the top of its head. As the tip of the blade suddenly appeared through its skull, the grip around your neck loosened and the curse dropped flat on the ground, twitching.

You could only stare in shock at what had just happened.

Suddenly a rush of the small yellow curses began moving forward to consume the liquids oozing out of the curse. You felt your stomach churn as you watched them lap everything up. You turned away from the sight and looked for the box. You took a staggering step towards the item, still laying in the middle of the room, and let out a yelp. Your entire body felt heavy and tired. You felt sick. You still had an excess of CE and your body couldn’t handle it. You collapsed to your knees as you neared the box. You placed your palms on the floor and tried to expel the energy from your body. The floor beneath you turned black and cracked. You poured it all out and felt slight relief, but still felt sore and achy. You looked back up at the box and reached for it. You took it in your hands and sat back. You took a shaky breath and laughed. That could have been bad.

You jumped as you heard the door open and quickly turned towards it. You felt a slight pang of relief as you realized it was a pair of sorcerers. That relief turned to anger as you realized it was two students.

Inumaki and Maki. They stared at you curiously and looked around trying to make sense of what had happened. You looked around too. The place was crawling with little yellow curses, a horde of them concentrated on the still twitching body of the large curse with a katana stuck through his skull. There was a human hand just laying limp to your right and you were sitting in the middle of the room. You bet you were a sight to see. Your suit was torn in various places, soaked in blood from wounds that had healed.

“Are you okay?” Maki asked.

“The curse-“ you stopped and put a hand up to your throat. It was burning and speaking felt difficult. Your voice had a heavy rasp to it due to your windpipe almost being crushed. You tried to clear your throat but it sent a sharp pain down it. “The curse has been defeated, I secured the finger.” You finally said fighting against the fire in your throat. You held up the box. “Are you two the only ones here?”

“Daisuke is outside, he drove us here.” Another manager.

“Tuna.”

“We’ll take care of these creatures, Daisuke is waiting with another secure container to put the finger in.”

You sighed and nodded. “Any casualties?”

“None, almost everyone was evacuated. Police and firemen have arrived on scene. The veil you placed is very good.” Maki said.

You slowly got to your feet and tucked the box under your right arm. You had healed your previously flayed left arm but it still felt sore. You put your hand on your left elbow to try to comfort it. “Be careful. He’s down but he’s got razor sharp teeth. Also we need that sword. If you could get it for me that would be great,” you said with a smile. You could tell from their faces that it wasn’t very convincing.

You limped out of the room and collapsed against the wall once you were out. They sent students? If the curse had gotten a hold of the finger the students would have been in serious danger. You would have surely been killed, and they wouldn’t have known what they were walking into. You were going to say something when you got back. You got back to your feet and started heading towards the exit.

You spotted Daisuke talking with some policemen as you emerged from the veil. He looked at you shocked to see the state you were in and quickly pulled out a wooden box to put the cursed item in. You dropped the box into it and he quickly shut it, muttering some kind of extra enchantment on it.

You leaned against the car exhausted and still feeling off. “Are you okay?”

You looked at him and nodded. “Yes,” you hesitated. “But I think I’m going to need you to give me a ride back to the school.”

The students finished up quickly and you sat in the passenger seat sleeping the whole way back. You felt uneasy still. Your bones creaking and your entire body sore.

Once inside the school you insisted on taking the box and delivering it to the main office. You wanted to talk to the staff member you had talked with over the phone.

You swung open the door to his office and stormed up to his desk. You dropped the box onto the infront of him and stared the worker down. “Here it is. One of the legendary Ryomei Sukuna fingers, one of the most powerful relics in the world, previously unwrapped and unbound less than an hour ago.”

The guy looked at the box and then up at you giving you a criticizing glare. “You seem upset.”

“Why the fuck would you send two students instead of a high ranked sorcerer?”

The guy looked away from you and smirked. “They were the closest available and besides, if you were able to handle it why would I waste someone’s time?” He gave you a snarky smile.

Your blood boiled. He had a point but you had gotten so lucky. “They could have gotten hurt if the curse had been able to get the finger, you didn’t know the whole situation of what was going on.”

He shrugged. “It looks like I made the right decision. If you, out of anyone, was able to defeat the curse, there was no real danger. The curse even cauterized the wounds. None of the victims were in grave danger.”

“What?”

“Two of the victims were found with missing limbs but not even bleeding out or anything.” He started to act annoyed. “Look I have things to do, I expect your report by tomorrow, let us know your thoughts in the appropriate feedback section. Have a nice day. Get out.”

You stared at him frustrated before storming out of the room and almost running into someone. “Sorry,” you muttered before looking up. It was Nanami.

He looked down at you concerned by the state you were in, bloodied and sweaty. “Y/N are you okay?”

For some reason that was your last straw. His question made your eyes start watering. You rolled your eyes blinking hard to try to stop the tears. “I’m fine.” You said not meeting his gaze. He didn’t move.

“You should go see Shoko.” He said, his voice now softer. He moved his hand to your face, carefully placing it under your chin to make you look at him. His thumb grazed your cheek. You looked up at him and frowned, tears leaking from your eyes. It wasn’t fair. None of this was fair. Nothing had been going your way and you were exhausted. You took a step forward towards Nanami and wrapped your arms around him.

It was stupid, but you desperately needed some kind of comfort. He didn’t move at first but he eventually put his arms around you. You buried your face into his shirt and felt yourself relax for the first time in hours. You felt your eyes close right as your legs gave out beneath you.

You woke up to a bright, sterile light flooding your surroundings. You were in the infirmary. You couldn’t remember how you got there but you blushed as you remembered Nanami outside of the office. He had probably brought you here after you passed out. You propped yourself up and looked down at your body. You had been stripped of your suit jacket and button up and were now in a white undershirt. Your right arm was hooked up to an IV. You looked over at your left and took in the aftermath of the hasty healing. The arm looked almost completely normal but the skin was a little bit discolored, more pink, like a fresh scar.

You pressed down on your rib cage and didn’t feel pain anymore. Shoko must have fixed you up. Your neck felt better and you cleared your throat. No pain. You put a hand up to your throat and massaged it thinking back to how close you had been to dying.

You spotted movement from the corner of your eye and turned your head towards it. Shoko was walking up to you. “Are you an angel?” You said as you smiled at her.

She shook her head. “You are just full of surprises.” She pulled up a chair next to you and sat down. “Did you know you could use RCT?”

You looked at her and nodded slowly. “Not well, that’s why I have this scar on my lip. I discovered it in my fourth year. I don’t have enough output to heal anything major.”

“You say that but you were able to patch yourself up pretty well for being inexperienced. And the two victims, they’re saying the curse’s bite was clean, but I think something else happened.” She wasn’t saying any of this in an accusatory manner but something made you uneasy.

“I…”

“You used recycled cursed energy didn’t you?” You stared at her briefly before finally nodding. Even though you had never been told it was bad, it felt wrong to admit it.

“I don’t know what happened, I just suddenly knew what to do. I grabbed a smaller curse and…” you made a sharp inhale noise, “and then I felt the weight in my hand and I was able to” you made a whoosh sound with your mouth. “And then it just worked.” You frowned as you realized how stupid that sounded.

“I see.” She understood. You shook off your surprise.

“Talking about it now…it feels wrong, like I shouldn’t have done it.”

“It is wrong.” She said simply. “Well, it’s taboo.” She looked up at you. “It’s not a technique just anyone can use, the old heads think it would be used inappropriately by the wrong people. Under the right circumstances it would allow for a sorcerer to have an unlimited power supply and become basically invincible.” She sighed. “They always think the worst of people. You’re not like that are you?” You looked at her and shook your head. “Good.” She stood up. “Take my advice, don’t tell anyone what you did. Falsify your report.”

“It won’t make sense how I was able to defeat the curse then.”

“Lie, tell them it was weak. It just caught you by surprise, they have no reason to suspect anything as of now.”

You looked down at your hands bitterly. If you falsified it and called it weak your little outburst would be unjustified. The students could have been facing an unimaginable danger.

“Will you teach me?” you asked.

Shoko smiled. “Nanami asked me the same thing,” you glanced at her curiously. “If I could teach you how to correctly use RCT I mean.” She stared at you looking for a reaction. You didn’t have one. She smirked. “You should give him a chance. I’ve never seen him so interested in someone.”

You felt your face burn up and blushed. “He told me he wasn’t interested.” You said softly.

“He talks out of his ass to look cool. He probably didn’t mean it.”

“It’s probably only because we-“ you stopped yourself and blushed again.

Shoko laughed. “Oh I know.”

“You do?” You said horrified.

“Nanami’s one of my dearest friends, I got it out of him. He looked frazzled the next day and I always get the information I want.” She rolled her eyes. “He’s so hard headed and in denial of how he feels.” You looked down at your hands. “I can see you’re both like that.” She grabbed your hand. “I think you’d be good for him.” She smiled softly. “I haven’t really known you for very long but your spirit reminds me of someone. You act like the weight of the real world hasn’t affected you, but I’ll admit I did some digging and know that you’ve gone through a lot.” You didn’t look at her. “You’re very optimistic for someone who’s lost so much. I think you should at least give it a shot.”

“If I do…” she listened intently, “will you teach me?” She laughed.

“Sneaky.” She shrugged. “We’d have to rearrange your schedule and find a reason to justify it to the higher ups.” She sighed. “But sure, why not.”

You nodded thankful. “Speaking of managers…why don't you give Ijichi a shot?”

She smiled and shook her head. “I’d ruin him. Besides, I’m not into younger men.”

Shoko discharged you about an hour later, you both got caught up talking about a little bit of everything. You looked at the clock on the wall and saw it was almost 7 pm. You went out to the hallway. You needed to call a ride to get the car back from the museum, all your things were in there, you had been too exhausted to think about grabbing them before you left. You had a report to write.

“Can I speak with you for a moment?” You jumped and turned to look. Nanami smiled slightly. “I didn’t mean to startle you, my apologies.”

“It’s okay…were you waiting the whole time?”

“I was.”

You were a bit surprised. “You should have come in! We weren’t really discussing anything important. I wouldn’t have taken so long if I had known you were waiting.”

“It’s alright, I wanted to speak with you privately and there are ears everywhere in there.” He seemed irritated and you had a feeling he was referring to Shoko.

“Ah, I need to walk to the main entrance, would you want to walk with me?” For some reason you didn’t feel any sort of resentment towards him, you felt rather calm in his presence. Having almost died four hours ago probably had something to do with it. “I need to go to the museum again to get the school car.”

“Do you need a ride?”

“Um,” you thought about it. You smiled at him. “Let’s see how this talk goes first.”

You walked down the hallway with him. Neither of you spoke for the first minute.

“I overheard some of your conversation with the office worker. What happened today?” he said.

You frowned as you thought about it. Should you tell him about your RCT? You could trust him, right? You looked at him and scrunched your face. “I unexpectedly picked up one of Ryomen Sukuna’s fingers that had been unwrapped from its seal.” He stiffened. “I managed to stop a curse from getting it but at the cost of doing something a little unorthodox. I broke a couple of ribs, ruptured some internal organs and almost degloved my left arm but it was nothing a little RCT couldn’t fix.” You said with a smile. “Anyway, I was a little upset because while I was told the nearest sorcerer was on the way, they sent two students. Two first years at that.” You furrowed your brows. “If things had played out a little differently. If I had failed they would be in over their heads.” You sighed. “I probably sound stupid, or like I’m doubting their abilities. It’s just, they’re kids, they shouldn't have been the first line of defense.” You turned to look at Nanami after he didn’t say anything back. “I know it’s sort of silly, we’re a school after all… I think I have a soft spot for them because my younger sister is around their age.”

“I share the same sentiment.” Nanami said, a somber look on his face.. “I don’t think it’s silly.”

“Thank you.” You said with a smile. You both walked in silence again. “What..what did you want to talk to me about?” Nanami stayed silent for a bit longer. You looked at him again. “I have a feeling I know what it’s about. For some reason last night feels like so long ago…For me at least.”

“I did want to discuss that, but seeing as you’ve had a long day…”

You laughed a little. “Don’t worry about it. If anything it might make me feel better, I’ve had a lot on my mind lately but I think today snapped everything into perspective. It was a good wake up call.” You put your hands on your cheeks and shook your head. “I’ve been thinking too much about myself and when that happens I start to overthink and criticize everything I do or that others do to me.” You sighed. “So let’s talk it out.”

“Why are you so convinced I wanted someone else every time we’ve been together?”

“Straight to the point, fair enough.” You muttered.

“You told me it could have been anyone, and that you weren’t the one I was hoping for. What did you mean by that?” He asked.

“I..I just thought that maybe,” you felt your face getting hot. You sighed, “After you were affected by the curse, I mean even before that, you might have known something was going to happen and that maybe you had expected Akari to drive you originally and so you might have been a little disappointed when…when it was me instead.” Nanami was silent. You turned away from him. “You don’t have to say anything, I’ve already accepted it.”

You heard him let out a breath of laughter and turned quickly to look at him. He put a hand up to hide his smile. “I apologize.” You frowned. “I’m sorry.” He cleared his throat. “You’re so quick to resolve your invented problems instead of talking them out. I mean, you’ve already accepted what? That I had, based on a mission that was changed three times, somehow masterminded a plan to sleep with a manager?” You looked at the floor embarrassed.

“When you say it like that…” you muttered.

“I’m flattered you think I’m capable of such forward thinking, really.” He seemed more relaxed. “How do you explain what we did last night then? If it wasn’t you I wanted, why would I come for you again?”

You shrugged. “I don’t know, maybe you think I’m easy.”

He stopped walking and got serious. You looked back over your shoulder at him. “I would never think that.” He seemed disgusted at the idea. He walked up to you, his gaze softening. “I’m afraid I continue to hurt you without meaning to. I need to be more honest, as you have.” He looked at you and you couldn’t help but blush. “If it had been anyone else in the car I would have had much, much more restraint.” He removed his glasses and looked you right in the eyes. “There’s something about you that draws me to you. I can’t explain it, I don’t want to explain it, and against my better judgment I can’t seem to stay away from you.”

You stared back shocked. “I-“

“Today something in my gut told me to wait for you to return from your mission. I felt sick with worry when I heard something had gone wrong. I could have just left you with Shoko and asked for an update later but I couldn’t leave you. I’m not acting like myself, and it’s frustrating, you’re frustrating. You come up with solutions instead of speaking to me and I admire your independence, but I can’t help wanting to be involved in your decisions.” You didn’t know what to say. “I tend to be cold towards people in an effort to isolate myself. I’ve been hurt in the past and the last thing I want is to let someone in when everything in our lives is so impermanent. However, it’s too late for me.” He looked at you now with a deep sadness in his eyes. “You’ve broken my defenses. I need you.”

You continued to stare at him wordlessly, shocked at everything he had just confessed. He liked you. He really really liked you. He needed you. You blushed and stuttered over your next words. “I- I don’t know what to say.” His face was slowly turning pink. “Me? I broke through to you?” He nodded. “I’m not very special.” You muttered quietly.

“You’re very good at underestimating yourself.” You gave him a look. “Despite the sorcerer world turning its back on you, you continue to be loyal to it, and you care about the people around you. If I had been interested in Akari you would have helped me, correct?”

“Yes.” You said.

“You’re either a very good liar or you’ve got a good heart. That’s very rare.” He stepped closer to you and you thought he might try to kiss you again. “If you had driven Satoru and he had been affected by the curse would you have let him sleep with you?”

You made a face and frowned. “No.”

“If it had been anyone else?”

“No.” You had to look away from his intense gaze. “The reason Akari passed me the mission was because she knew I liked you,” you blushed and looked up quickly. “We didn’t know what kind of mission it was! That’s not the reason at all I didn’t know it would be a-“

“I believe you.”

You looked at him nervously. He had backed up some. You were both silent for a bit. “I’m happy.” You finally said. “But I’m…hesitant?” You frowned and looked down at your hands. “I…I mean I almost died today. Back at the cafe, when you said that romantic matters weren’t really smart in our line of work I honestly thought you were making some sort of excuse to turn me down. I know you’re not one to do that, I was just overthinking everything. But now…” you looked up at him. He seemed to understand and solemnly put his glasses back on. “I’m not very strong. Shoko can teach me how to use RCT and I’m so grateful for that, but it may mean I’ll be out in the field more. Even if I’m not, there’s no guarantee I’ll ever really be safe on missions. I don’t want to hurt you.” He was silent. “The moment I thought I was going to die I had nothing in my mind. I fought back of course but I didn’t have any regrets, I didn’t have anyone to worry about. All my dues have been paid and I’ve set everything up for when I’m gone. I…I didn’t even think about you.” You frowned. “I shouldn’t have said that.” You didn’t want to look at him. That must’ve hurt. “I thought you didn’t like me, I thought you-“

“I understand.” Your chest felt tight. His tone was neutral again.

“It seems we’ve switched positions huh.” You said.

“I’m not giving up on you,” he stated.

“What?”

“I’ve found something that I want and I’ve made a promise to myself to not have any regrets when I die.” He came closer to you again. “I believe in the separation of business and pleasure. It’s dangerous to mix both, however as I’ve said, I need you.” He leaned in closer. He was going to kiss you this time you were sure. “Even if we don’t work out, even if you turn me down right now, I wouldn’t regret it. I feel as if I’ve said what I needed to.” He leaned even closer and you felt his breath on your face. “Are you not even curious to see if we could do it?” He whispered and you closed your eyes. He was going to kiss you. You felt his warmth fade and you opened your eyes to see him smirking and backing away. “You’re very honest with me, but you should be honest with yourself.” He started walking down the hallway leaving you standing there. You realized you had puckered your lips and everything. “I don’t mean to be rude when I say this, but,” he stopped for a moment. “Will you let fear rule your life?”

You watched him walk. Will you let fear rule your life? It ringed in your ears. Up until now you had. After all, you were always the first to call yourself a coward. You hated confrontation. You had been so afraid of curses and of being hurt. But could you have done what you had if you were truly a coward? You had saved two lives, just today. You had fought tooth and nail to get that finger and unknowingly saved two students from meeting a worse fate. You had endured the rigorous years at Jujutsu Tech and everything in between. You had left home when you knew you were unwanted. You should have been afraid then, but you weren’t. You started tearing up a little.

“Are you coming?” You looked up to see Nanami had stopped and turned towards you.

He looked like he always had, well put together, confident in his stance, not a crease in his suit, so utterly unbothered. He glanced at his watch. You began walking towards him. Standing right in front of him you looked straight up at him. He looked down at you and cocked his head. You grabbed his arm and pulled him closer. You hugged him, wrapping your arms around him and burying your face into his suit. “Thank you.” You said to him. “I want to live fearlessly.” You looked up into his glasses, the light was hitting them just right and you saw his eyes through them. You felt his heartbeat against your chest and you lifted yourself up on your toes to kiss him.

He kissed you back gently, letting you take the lead before he flipped you to push you against the wall and attacked your lips. You laughed against his mouth and he backed his head away to look at you.

“We’re in public.”

He scowled. “I don’t care.” He looked serious and you know what he was going to say next. “Come home-“

“I haven’t been home in a while. I need to check on my plants.”

He gave you a look. “Plants?”

“I didn’t even get to eat the sandwiches you bought me.”

He kissed you again quickly. “I live near the café, I’ll buy you as many as you want.”

“You really like me, huh.”

He laughed and you smiled as you watched him. “You make me smile. Not many people can.” he backed up and you watched as he fixed his tie. “You’re going to have to think of a better excuse than your plants,” he said.

“And why do you want me to come over so badly?” you asked in a teasing tone. You both continued to walk down the hall.

“Well right now I think Ieiri would want someone to watch over you, given your condition.”

“Right, my condition,” you agreed sarcastically.

“You need someone to take care of you,” he said. “It wouldn’t do if you just collapsed again on your way out. As someone with a higher rank, it’s within my responsibility to take care of you.”

“Within your responsibility, I see.” He nodded.

“I’m glad you agree. I’m only suggesting this out of concern of course.”

“Oh yes, I’m so grateful that Grade 1 Sorcerer, Nanami Kento, can take time out of his busy schedule to watch over me. In fact I am feeling a bit faint, thank goodness he’s so responsible.”

He nodded again, “I really am.”

You laughed and felt your chest growing warm. “Well then, is it within your responsibility to do this?” You put your hand on his shoulder turning him towards you for another kiss.

You pulled back to see he had no reaction, but the tips of his ears turned pink. You tilted your head, staring at him with a smile on your face. His lips tightened as he pretended to be deep in thought. He sighed, “I would say so, besides you requested it so kindly, who am I to turn you away.”

You laughed. “I’m glad my kindness isn’t lost on you. Would you be so kind as to kiss me again?” you asked, batting your eyelashes. He finally smiled back at you and pulled you in for another kiss. He put his hands up to hold your face close to him.

“So I take it, you're agreeing?”

You mimicked his thinking face, “Hmmm, sure. Why not.” He kissed you again.

“I would invite you out to eat beforehand, however I’m sure you’d like to clean up first.”

“I’d love a shower right now, but I have to drive to Naka-ku for the car, remember.” He frowned and you kissed him again. “Patience Nanami, you’ll get what you want after.”

He scoffed and squeezed your face a little before dropping his hands. “You’re in no shape to get worked up. I do genuinely want to make sure you’re alright.”

You frowned at him now. “I’m tougher than I look.” he raised an eyebrow. “But maybe you’re right…especially because you haven’t been very gentle with me.” You smiled but you saw his expression darken.

“I do apologize,” he said.

You shrugged. “It wasn’t a complaint.”

You heard footsteps coming from the corner ahead and stepped back from Nanami. Daisuke appeared from around the corner and looked shocked to see you.

“Y/N! I was just coming to check on you.” His eyes went to Nanami who stood there silently.

He nodded in acknowledgement. “Daisuke.”

“Nanami.” Daisuke said back respectfully.

“I’m okay, I was on my way to get the car from the museum.” Daisuke was still staring at Nanami, “Ah, Nanami escorted me to Shoko after I dropped off the finger, I guess I passed out.”

Daisuke turned back to you worried. “You’re okay now right?”

“Yes, I’m practically brand new, Shoko fixed me up. And Nanami offered to give me a ride to the museum.”

“Ah,” he glanced at him again. Nanami checked his watch. “Well, don’t worry about that, Akari went out to get the car. She should be back in any minute now. She's worried sick about you. She had me check on you.” You looked at him curiously. Why hadn’t she texted you. You felt around for your phone and realized you didn’t have it. You must have dropped it at the museum.

“Well you can tell her I’m okay. I seem to have dropped my phone, I’ll wait for her to get here.” Daisuke nodded and looked at Nanami who checked his watch yet again.

“Ah, I can wait with Y/N if you have somewhere to be sir.” Daisuke said.

Nanami looked up and frowned. “No need, I’ll walk her to where she needs to go.”

Daisuke seemed confused. “Okay…”

“Walk with us. Do you know where she’ll be?” You all started walking, Nanami behind you and Daisuke typing away on his phone.

“She’ll probably be in the garage, she has to check the cars tonight before they’re serviced.”

“Okay, do you know if she needs any help?”

“She’ll probably say no.” He typed silently. “She said no.”

“Stubborn.” You said. You turned back to look at Nanami and smiled at him, he seemed to lighten up some. “Well I’m not keeping you from anything right Daisuke?”

“No, I’m going to leave once I get to the garage. It’s past my time to head out.”

“Thank you for helping me out today.”

He nodded as he typed something else. “Of course. She’s pulling in now.” As the three of you walked, Daisuke continued to type away at his phone. You tried to sneak a glance at what he was typing but could only make out he was messaging with Akari. You suddenly felt Nanami pull on the back of your shirt. You smiled and slowed down to walk next to him instead of Daisuke, Daisuke didn’t seem to notice. You looked up at him and smiled again picking at his collar after you noticed his tie was crooked. He grabbed your hand as you pulled away and you blushed.

Daisuke stopped in front of the parking garage and looked around for his car. “I’ll see you tomorrow.” He waved at you and bowed slightly at Nanami. Nanami nodded.

“So you’re the jealous type,” you said as you both watched Daisuke walk away.

Nanami frowned. “No, I’m not.” He crossed his arms, but he was a little flustered. “I was just annoyed that he interrupted us.”

“Sure…” you teased.

He sighed, “Maybe you should go check on your plants.”

You smacked him playfully and laughed. “Shut up.”

“Y/N!” You heard Akari call out for you. You turned to see her rushing towards you. “Back to back you have me worried about you. I need you to stop getting into trouble, please.” She glanced back at Nanami and bowed slightly. “Good evening.”

“Akari,” he said, nodding back.

“I’m okay, a lot happened but it all worked out. I’ll write a report tonight and submit it first thing tomorrow. I don’t have the energy to retell it twice.”

“Okay,” Akari said. “Oh I found your phone,” she pulled it out of her pocket. “They’re saying it was a gas leak and that a broken pipe left two staff members with injuries that needed amputations. It’s all over the news.”

You frowned. “Besides the amputations, are the staff members okay?”

“Yes, the man is still in shock, the woman has been directed and interviewed.”

You nodded satisfied. “I’m going to head home. Please let me know if you need help with inventory tonight.”

Akari sighed and shook her head, “Don’t worry about it. Let me know when you get home.” She glanced over at Nanami, “Do you need anything sir?”

He shook his head. “I was just talking with Y/N, I wanted to make sure she was okay.”

Akari smiled, “You’re so kind.” you made a face at her when you recognized the sarcasm and the look she was giving him. She looked at you confused. It’s okay you mouthed at her. She looked at you still confused, we talked! She couldn’t read your lips. We talked, you repeated. She shook her head.

“We talked it out.” You said out loud. You looked back at Nanami. “I told her about the car..” he blushed and nodded. “I also told her you turned me down and that you were kind of an asshole, I was mad.” He smiled a little. “But we talked it out.” You turned to Akari. “We’re good now.”

“So what are you dating her now?”

“It’s not-“

“I was asking him,” she said pointedly. You rolled your eyes at her. She was being protective, which you had been grateful for in the past but now you were a little annoyed.

“She hasn’t fully agreed, but as of now she knows I’m interested in her.”

“It’s getting late,” you murmured trying to change the subject.

Akari looked at you confused. “You’ve fawned over him for the last two years and now you can’t give him an answer?”

“I’m going to hit you.”

“Well I’m proud of you, know your worth.” She turned to Nanami, “You’d be lucky to have her.”

“I’m very aware.” He said.

You were so embarrassed. “I’m going to go now.” you grumbled. “I’ll talk to you later, Akari.”

“Text me,” She said, waving you off.

Nanami walked you to his car. You weren’t really surprised when you saw it. It was a foreign make, you wouldn’t have expected less. He opened the door for you and you nervously sat down. When he came in and turned the car on you noticed the radio was off.

“You really don’t listen to music do you?”

Nanami looked at the radio and shook his head. “I don’t. But you could play something if you’d like.”

“No, it’s okay, I won’t change it up for you.” You both rode in silence as he pulled away from the school. “Why don’t you listen to music?”

“You can play something if you’d like.” He said smiling.

“No, I’m just curious.”

He was silent for a bit longer and you were afraid you might have pushed it. “I used to have a friend while I was attending jujutsu tech.” You knew who he was talking about. “We were teenagers together,” Nanami smiled fondly. “He used to show me all types of music. Every day it was something new, he was very into the charts and new releases. I could never keep up.” His smile dropped and he was a little more somber. “After he passed I just…”

“I see.” You say quietly. “Thank you for sharing with me. I’m sorry I brought it up.”

“Don’t be, I understand it’s a strange habit.”

“No it’s sort of sweet, it’s like a moment of silence for him.” You worried you might have overstepped once that left your mouth, but he smiled.

“Something like that.”

You continued to chat until you reached the apartment building you had pulled up to two days ago. You turned to him. “I’m curious to see what your place looks like. If your car is any indication, I bet it’s nice.”

“It’s a bit messy at the moment, I wasn’t really expecting company.”

-

Messy? You looked around at the spotless apartment. The hues of greys and browns elegantly accentuated the minimalist design of his furniture. “This is really nice,” you said looking around. You noticed a large bookshelf in the living room filled with books of all different thicknesses and colors. You smiled as you saw a pile of different books scattered around the coffee table. “Were you looking for something?”

“Ah, thats…” you turned to him curiously before looking back at the books. Pride and Prejudice, The Sound of Waves, Jane Eyre, the more you looked the more you realized they were all romance books.

You slowly turned to look at him, he was looking down at the books, his face pink. “Were you reading through these..for me?” you asked softly. You didn’t want him to think you were teasing him.

After a beat he nodded. “I'm afraid I'm a bit clueless when it comes to romance,” The flush to his face had calmed but his ears were still burning. “I was looking for...help or rather, inspiration if you will.”

You turned to face him and moved directly in front of his frame. You slowly reached up to remove his glasses. He moved his face closer to allow you access. You didn’t know why but you were suddenly very aware of your fingertips on his skin, brushing along his temples as you removed his specs. You pulled them down and stared into his hazel eyes. “Well, I don’t think you really need the help..” you said, you felt your cheeks burning as you thought about what you were about to say next. “I’ve already liked you for some time now.”

He took a small step closer to you. He carefully pushed a strand of your hair behind your ear and moved his hand under your chin. You saw his eyes flicker down your body before looking back into your eyes.

He sighed before backing away from you completely. “You’ve had a long day, you should wash up and get some rest.”

You couldn’t help but pout. “I -”

“The bathroom is down that hall to the right, it’s connected to the bedroom. I’ll prepare some food while you shower. Is there anything you’re allergic to?” he asked.

“No, um thank you.” he nodded.

“There are clean towels in the bathroom. I'll lay out some clothes for you in the room. They might not be the best fit but-”

“Thank you.” you said again. As much as you had wanted to move forward he was right, you were exhausted. And you’re sure you probably smelled a little; a mix of sweat, blood and the lingering smell of the infirmary.

You stepped out of the shower, patting yourself dry and went up to the mirror. Non-fog, ofcourse. You quickly brushed your hair and wrapped the towel around yourself stepping into his bedroom. On the bed he had neatly laid out a white shirt and a pair of shorts with a drawstring. You changed into them and reached for your phone. You had forgotten to text Akari.

-Did you make it home???

She had sent the text about ten minutes ago.

-Yes, I did, sorry.

You replied.

-Good good. By the way what the hell happened?

-With Sukuna’s finger or nanami?

-THATS RHE ÍTEM YOU RETREIVED??

-Yeah lol

-That’s not funny what the hell, I’m going to kill Renzo

So that’s what the front desk guy's name was, you made a note of it.

-Yeah, a curse was trying to get to it and injured those people and almost got me but I managed to make it out with all four limbs…barely.

- I’m shocked you weren’t more injured, not that you’re weak or anything but this is serious. We need to check on the location of all the other fingers. You have to emphasize that in your report.

- …

-What?

-…let’s say I ALLEGEDLY have to tweak some things on the report…(I’m only telling you because you’re one of the only people in my life I can trust)

-What you fucked the old man again?

-Akari….

-Okay okay, I’m sorry

-let’s say I ALLEGEDLY used RCT to heal the injured and myself some, and I ALLEGEDLY used an unorthodox technique and then maybe ALLEGEDLY Shoko advised me against telling anyone about it

-Then ALLEGEDLY why are you telling me this over text shut up and tell me about it tomorrow in person I’m deleting these texts good night, love you, glad you’re safe

-Fair enough, good night.

She made a good point. You thought to yourself. You went back and deleted the texts. A futile attempt at covering your tracks.

You sighed, It didn’t matter honestly. At the end of the day your report was not likely to be read. No one had died, the finger was retrieved and you, a weak manager, had managed to survive the whole ordeal. Your mind wandered back to this morning and the death of the sorcerer. You briefly wondered if Gojo had retrieved the kid.

There was a knock at the door, interrupting your thoughts.

“You can come in.” You said.

“I just wanted to let you know the food is almost ready. Take your time.” Nanami’s voice came through. You stared at the door and felt that warm feeling in your chest again. You were in his house, in his bedroom, wearing his clothes. How the hell had you managed all this.

You stepped out of the room, trying your best to not trip over the slippers you were wearing- also his. Nanami looked up at you from the kitchen, he was wearing an apron and turning down the heat on something in a pot.

“It smells incredible.”

“It’s nothing fancy.”

“Do you need help?”

He shook his head and looked back down at the pan in front of him. He carefully transferred the contents onto a plate.

You ate dinner in silence, the tension thick. You discussed some books here and there, but the conversation would always end in awkward pauses. Both stopping before saying something that would push the tension over the top. You finished dinner and began collecting the plates.

“You’re a guest at my place, I would be ashamed if I made you clean up after me.”

You pushed his reaching hands away. “Please, it's the least I can do. I insist.” He didn’t move. “Nanami go shower. I want to do this, please let me.” You looked down at your hands. “I feel like you’ve done so much for me,” you looked up, meeting his eyes. “Please.” you whispered.

He stared at you and you had to do your best not to smile. He was struggling to keep his composure. He nodded curtly before quickly heading into the bathroom. You couldn’t help but feel bad. You had him wrapped around your finger. You smiled to yourself as you cleaned up. Whatever you had done to deserve this, you hoped you did it in every lifetime.

You finished cleaning up the dishes and wiping the table and went over to the books again. You traced a finger over the spine of the books in his collection. Your attention turned to a photograph. It was him as a teenager. With him you saw a young Shoko, Gojo, Geto and the boy you knew to be Haibara. You looked at his face and felt a tug at your chest, he was really just a boy. His eyes were so familiar to you. Your eyes switched back to Nanami and you smiled as you saw the annoyed look on his teenage face. You wanted to take a picture.

You reached for your phone only to find it wasn’t in your pocket. You must have left it in the bedroom. You could pop in there while he showered. It would be fine.

You made your way to the room listening for the sound of the bathroom fan. Still on, this should be okay. You opened the door and looked in to see a shocked Nanami, who had just finished securing a towel to his hip.

“I’m- I’m sorry!” you squeaked. Closing the door. You felt it stop before you shut it all the way. You looked up to see Nanami standing by the door holding it open. His hair was dripping wet, his body glittering with beads of water. You couldn’t help but stare.

“You’re really testing my patience.” He said through gritted teeth. “I wanted to at least try to have a proper meal, maybe a date, or some time to really get to know each other before I took you as mine again, but here we are. I don’t think I can last much longer.” He looked down at you and placed his hands on your waist, finding your figure, which had been lost in his shirt. “Giving you these clothes was my first mistake, I can’t help but think about how I could get used to seeing you like this all the time. Wearing my clothes, strutting around my apartment, eating my food, irrefutably mine.” He moved a hand down along your neck and pulled the shirt to the side revealing your collar bone. He moved his lips down and gently kissed along the ridge. “Will you let me have you once again? I promise to be gentle.”

You were silent, your hands grabbing fistfuls of his shirt trying to ground yourself. You closed your eyes as you felt his teeth nip at your skin.

“Well?” he asked, kissing up along your neck.

“Yes, please. Always yes.” he moved up to your face and placed a hand on your chin lifting you up to kiss him. He was being so soft.

He grabbed your hand and led you towards his bedroom. You could feel your heart beating in your ears. You tried to calm yourself but had a feeling the night was only going to get more intense.

He slowly pushed you down onto the bed. You started to reach out for the towel around his waist but he stopped your hand. “Patience, Y/N,” he smiled coyly.

He reached for the edge of your shirt, lifting it to pull on the band of your shorts. You shifted back on your elbows as he lifted your hips and pulled the shorts down your legs. You readjusted your shirt to cover yourself. You didn’t have underwear on. He looked at you, his eyes locked onto your core. “It would be a shame to cover you up.” He reached for the hem of your shirt again and lifted it up. You obediently pulled your arms up allowing him to pull the shirt over your shoulders. He tossed the fabric aside and once again stared at you, his gaze intense and focused on your body.

He crawled onto the bed pulling you to the center. You readjusted yourself to lay your head back on the pillows as he moved to the center of the bed, his knees resting between your legs. You looked at the towel and tried to reach for it again. He smirked and pushed your hand aside again. He backed up and you watched him lower his face down closer to your thighs. He kissed the inside of your thighs softly, making his way closer and closer to your mewling core. He sucked a little on the skin and you moaned softly. You looked down at him and felt the heat in your stomach grow. He looked up at you, eyelashes glistening with droplets of water. You ran a hand through his wet hair, tugging on it slightly as he sucked on your sensitive skin again.

“Please.” You whimpered. He released your skin with a wet plop and hovered his face over your cunt. He moved his nose down running it between your folds and you felt the tips of your ears burn as you watched him take a deep inhale. “Nanami…”

“From the moment I tasted you, I knew I was ruined.” He ran a stiff tongue between your folds and you gasped. “You don’t know how much I’ve craved you since then.” He dove in. Licking, prodding, sucking, you unraveled under his touch trying your best to hang on to the feeling building up your core. You didn’t want it to end. “Nanami!” you gasped as he latched onto your clit and toyed with it in his mouth. “Nanami, Nanami…” you couldn’t think, all you knew was his name and this feeling. He suddenly moved back and you gasped. Your hips were raised and you wriggled trying to chase the feeling. You hadn’t come, but you wish you had. “Kento,” you whined. You saw a flame light in his eyes.

“I’m being selfish,” he said, adjusting himself between your legs again. You watched, hypnotized by his hands as they reached to undo his towel. “But I’m afraid your cries were getting me close.” The towel fell to the side and you dug your fingers into the sheets craving the sight in front of you desperately.

You took in his entire body from head to toe. His hair was glistening in the light,  a sheen of sweat over his flushed face, his body was so… “Beautiful.” you said out loud. “I shouldn’t be calling you beautiful, maybe, but you are,” you said. “Nanami you’re-” He pulled your legs up onto his thighs as he sat back and ran his erect cock between your folds.

He curved his body over yours, placing his hand under your chin again. “Beautiful doesn’t even begin to describe you,” he said. He placed a kiss on your lips before pulling himself up again. He ran a finger from the side of your neck down along your body. He passed over your perked nipples, and traced down the curve of your waist and to your hip, resting his hand there and gripping you on either side, securing you against his member. “I’ll try to be gentle, I really will,” he said. You thought he might be trying to assure himself more than you.

Slowly he pressed his tip against your center and clenched his jaw as your wet folds enveloped him easily. He slid in slowly, sinfully, his face twitching as he felt your warmth consume him. He bottomed out and you bucked your hips as you felt him reach that spot deep inside of you. Your breathing was rapid as you tried your best not to move against him. You wanted him to move, you wanted him to take you in the same desperate way he had in the car, but he wasn’t moving.

He waited for you to settle before pulling out just as slowly. He began pushing in again. You moaned, you were beginning to get annoyed. He was being gentle, sure, but a little too gentle for your liking. You let him continue. He bottomed out again but this time he bucked his hips up to purposefully hit that spot and you let out a gasp. He pulled out, not all the way this time, before pushing back in. He was speeding up, but barely. You didn’t know if you could take this. God, it felt good but the pleasure was excruciating. You moaned in ecstasy and squirmed under his touch. “Kento please.”

He stopped for a moment, taking in the sound of his name on your lips. He squeezed your hips as he continued at a slightly faster pace. You moaned underneath him. The wet sounds of your skin slapping against each other filled the room and you wrapped an arm around his neck. You couldn't take it any longer. You lifted yourself up, pushing him back and straddling his lap. He was still buried deep inside and you shivered at the shift in pressure in your lower abdomen.

“Y/N-”

“You had your fun.” You said before kissing him and grinding your hips into his, pushing him even deeper than you thought he could go. You moaned into his mouth, and began bouncing your hips desperately over him. You moved quickly, you were already so close. Just a little bit more, more, more. You felt your high topple over and you shook vigorously, your body twitching and your mouth open against his gasping lips. You felt him jut his hips up as the grip on your hips tightened. He gasped and you felt him shake against you as he came. You felt his cock twitch inside of you releasing deep inside of you.

You pulled him closer and pushed your face against his. You just wanted to be closer to him. You pressed your body into his as his hands traced up your spine. He kissed tender kisses into the skin of your neck and you moved to press your cheek into his. You nibbled on his earlobe and finally rested your head into the crook of his neck. You were both silent, breathing hard and taking time to memorize the feeling of your bare skin pressed together.

You could get used to this.

If he does want something he should be the one to approach me.” You lay back on the couch.

As you opened your eyes the next morning you became aware of just how warm and cozy you felt. You felt safe. Nanami’s chest was pressed against your back, your legs intertwined, and his hand rested on your arm, rubbing soft circles into your skin with his thumb. You turned back to look at him and smiled. You shut your eyes and let out a big groan, you didn’t want to get up. He smiled back and placed a soft kiss on your temple. He shifted and sat up in bed. You turned to watch him stretch. His arms reached far above his head as he moved from one side to the other. You moved a hand his way to poke his lower back. He looked back at you and smiled.

As the two of you got ready for the day, you were silent. You moved in sync with one another. You brushed your teeth side by side, using the toothbrush he had provided you the night before. He had even gone so far as to wash your clothes for you. You lay your clothes out next to his on the bed and you both watched each other get dressed. You smiled as you reached over to help him button up his shirt, and he returned the favor.

It was as if you had always done this, like this was just another morning in a long line of mornings and you had never known anything else. As you finished dressing, you looked back over to him. He was adjusting his sleeves and all that was left was his tie. You approached him and Nanami turned to face you with his flashily patterned tie in his hands. He looked at you expectantly, and you obliged, grabbing the silky fabric and letting your fingers brush against his hand. You bounced on your tiptoes and popped Nanami's collar, slipping the tie around his neck. You grabbed the end of the fabric in each of your hands and pulled him closer, bringing his face to your own.

You smiled as you shook your head. “I wish I could help, but I actually don’t know how to tie a tie.” You frowned and sighed dramatically, “I know, it's grounds to send me packing, but I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me. I’m only human after all.”

“I knew you were too good to be true,” he said, raising his head and peering down at you. You felt color rush to your face. What should have been an intimidating expression was now making your heart flutter. “I’ll learn,” you said, pulling him even closer. “And I’ll be so good you won’t ever want anybody else to tie your ties for you. I’ll be the best.” He lowered his face closer to you, now inches apart. “It’ll always have to be me.”

He hummed in agreement as he wrapped his arms around you, hugging you close. “Will you be coming back here after work?”

You wrapped your arms around his neck. “I should go home, I haven’t been there for two nights now. What will the neighbors think?”

He chuckled. “Would it be too forward to ask if I could...come over?”

You smiled and felt your cheeks burn. “I-”

“You don’t have to say yes, I just thought I’d ask.”

“Usually I would say yes, I’m just…I mean I didn’t leave it in the cleanest state. If you think your place is messy, mine is…I mean it’s not horrible, it's just-”

“I’ll leave it for another time then,” he said smiling, amused at how flustered you were.

“Yes. Eventually. Maybe…tomorrow?” Was that too soon?

He nodded. “I’ll drop you off tonight and pick you up tomorrow morning.”

“Breakfast at mine then?” you offered. Nanami nodded and you smiled back, “Sounds like a date.”

“Finally,” he grumbled as he pulled you into a soft kiss.

Nanami drove you both to Jujutsu High. Neither of you looked forward to being apart again, you wanted to savor the tenderness of this morning. As he parked the car and stepped out to get the door for you, you looked down at your hands. You looked them over. The crease, the lines, the imprints were all the same. Despite everything you were still yourself, but everything felt so different now. You were discovering a whole other side of yourself, and it hadn’t even been a whole four days.

Nanami opened the door and offered you a hand as you stepped out. You both lingered outside of the car before silently walking towards the school entrance, exchanging glances and longing to be back in each other's arms. You both began to speak at the same time.

“Sorry, go ahead,” you said.

“Ah, I was just going to say, I don’t have any off campus duties today, so I’ll be in my office doing paperwork,” he said.

“I need to write my report about yesterday. Which reminds me, I have to stop by the infirmary again to ask Shoko some questions...” You thought about what else was on your plate. “Then I’ll be grading some of the student assignments and I’m also assigned for tutoring duty in the afternoon,” you sighed. “At least that’s what I think I’ll be doing. Something always seems to come up.” He stared silently. “I…I should be off by five, so maybe…I’ll come find you if you’re still in your office.”

He seemed satisfied with this addition. “I’ll be waiting,” the smirk on his face was devilish.

You blushed, OH.

As you walked in opposite directions, you were sure your face must have been red.

-

“I need to mention using RCT, but I’m not sure what the best way to word it would be... Without giving away how I did it I mean,” you said to Shoko, who was shuffling around the lab.

“Healing yourself and healing others are two very different things. Most high level sorcerers eventually develop the ability to heal themselves. Minor injuries mostly, just enough to get by until real help can arrive. For you to potentially be assigned so I can train you, you have to show that you go beyond that. You healed those two museum workers, but didn’t heal yourself completely.”

“I didn’t heal them so much as just cap off the bleeding,” you muttered.

“There you go, you could describe that. If they ask I’ll confer that you were able to heal yourself and that I’m confident you would be able to heal others.” She finally turned around and looked right at you. “Why did you do that by the way? Heal them but not yourself?”

You thought about it. “When it came down to healing them, the answer to me was pretty clear. I needed to scab over their flesh to tank the bleeding. So when I turned the CE into my own, I used the output to concentrate on hardening the blood and healing the open flesh. I didn’t try to go any deeper. When I healed myself it wasn’t  really intentional, it was because there was an excess of CE flowing into me from the curse. I tried to get rid of it by transferring it to the katana that was logged in the curse’s mouth. It ended up fixing the sword somehow and that’s how I was able to kill the curse.” she nodded. “I only stopped myself from healing because I don’t understand where organs go, or how the blood flows, so I was afraid of messing something inside up.”

“What?” Shoko looked confused.

“What?”

“What did you mean you were afraid of messing up your insides?”

You were confused now. “When I go to heal, I visualize what I’m healing. Otherwise I feel like I’m shaping something into a completely useless item. I feel like I need medical knowledge before I’ll be able to heal large internal injuries.”

Shoko still stared at you puzzled. “How do you think RCT works?”

“You turn CE into blood and rush the healing process.”

“Very good, however, I don’t think there is a real need to visualize what needs to be done. If you were to ask Gojo how he does it he’d probably say he does it on instinct. What feels right.” She looked at you seriously. “I only consider the range of the area I'm healing, I don’t focus on the tissue or how it needs to heal specifically.”

“Oh.” You furrowed your brows. “I…I feel like I have to think about it. Otherwise it doesn’t turn out the way I like. My lip for example,” Your fingers went up to touch the scar. “I held it together and imagined the flesh coming together. It worked, I mean my skin fused but it didn’t heal anymore because I didn’t know what to do next.”

Shoko blinked and you saw a burning look of curiosity wash over her now. It made you nervous. “What time are you off of work today?”

“Ah, I need to leave by 5.”

“Oh? Plans with Nanami?” She said cheekily.

You blushed. “Y-yes. I think we’re grabbing dinner. I’m not sure yet.”

“I see,” Shoko was staring at you intensely.

Both of your phones dinged and you were relieved at the break in eye contact. She tsked as she read the message. “Your date might have to wait. Yaga just called for a meeting at 5.”

Shoko asked you to come back tomorrow morning before the work day started. Something about “wanting to see you in action”. You weren’t sure what she meant, but it made you feel a bit uneasy.

The day dragged on and you felt yourself checking your watch every thirty minutes. You hammered away at the copious amounts of paperwork flooding your desk. Grading papers, turning in permits for projects, following up on leads about curses and the like. When it came time for tutoring you weren’t surprised when no one showed up. You could imagine the students had other things on their minds than the novel they had been assigned to read. You just went back to your paperwork. With everything going on, the news of Gojo returning with the Okkotsu kid barely registered in your brain.

A couple of hours later you found yourself sitting at a table in the managers’ break room, reading over writing assignments from the second years. You cringed as you read Hakari’s history report. You had so many questions…mainly why it was only four sentences long and why he had decided to use informal slang.

“You look like you’re reading something unpleasant.” You looked up and saw Nanami standing at the doorway.

You smiled at him dropping the paper down on the table in front of you. “Hakari is a great fighter, one of the most talented students I think I’ve ever seen. However, his writing skills are crap. I feel sorry for whoever has to read his reports in the future.”

Nanami smiled a little. “Have you had lunch?”

You looked at the clock, it was 2. “I haven’t, actually.”

“Eat with me.”

You smiled and nodded. “Okay.”

He pulled out two sandwiches from the cafe, the ones you hadn’t gotten to try. You smiled. “How did you-”

“I have my ways.” He sat down next to you as you moved the paperwork away. “I seem to recall you complaining about not being able to enjoy them. This is my way of apologizing.” He let you pick a sandwich and took the other. You ate silently, just enjoying each other's presence.

“Any crazy missions pop up?” You asked.

He shook his head. “They’re not prioritizing outings right now. All the sorcerers were asked to stay on campus while the Okkotsu boy was brought here. I imagine we’ll learn more about the situation at the meeting.”

“Oh, that’s right.” You tilted your head in curiosity. “Have you seen him? The boy I mean.”

“I have not. Gojo immediately placed him in the talisman room while the elders discuss what to do with him.”

“What do you think is going to happen?”

He was quiet for a bit, thinking. “If I’m being honest…they will likely call for his execution.”

Your stomach dropped. “I see.”

He was silent. “...Does that bother you?”

You frowned, “A little yes,” you looked down at your sandwich. “People are dead because of him, however I feel like there has to be more to the story.” You looked up at Nanami. “Someone that powerful doesn’t just pop up out of nowhere, he’s most likely lived like this for a while and has finally reached a breaking point. He’s just a kid, he doesn’t need to be punished, he needs help.”

“You sound like Gojo.” You made a face at his statement. “Why do you do that whenever I mention Gojo? Most people adore him,” he asked.

“I have a lot of admiration for him, but I don’t get along with the cocky type.” Nanami smiled. “Do you think… he’ll stop the Okkotsu boy’s execution, if they vote for it?”

He didn’t answer. “Wouldn’t you be hesitant to work around a child capable of that much violence?”

You considered it for a second. “Honestly, I don’t know. I like to think everyone deserves a second chance, but then again, I could meet him and not like him at all, in which case I’ll probably regret sticking up for him,” you said laughing a bit. “But until then, I’ll see the best in him.” Nanami stared at you. “What? Was that a stupid answer?”

“You’re a good person.”

You blushed and shook your head, “I think I’m just naive.”

“No. You’ve got a good heart. I hope you stay that way.” You looked at him curiously.

You suddenly noticed Ijichi coming into the break room. He looked at Nanami confused for a second and then at the sandwiches you were eating. He looked at Nanami again, nervously, and opened his mouth to say something when he was interrupted by a familiar voice.

“Nanami~” Satoru came into view of the door frame, singing Nanami’s name as he pat Ijichi’s back. “I’ve been looking for you.” Nanami stiffened and he looked up at Gojo, clearly annoyed.

You bowed your head politely in acknowledgment but didn’t say anything. Gojo inhaled sharply and frowned dramatically. “No sandwich for me? Not even a sweet treat? I see you have a dessert in that bag, you wouldn’t hide that from me right?”

“What do you want?” Nanami said, ignoring him.

“Ugh, I’m exhausted, I don’t even remember. Maybe something sweet will stimulate my mind and I’ll be able to tell you.” Gojo taunted with a smug smile.

Nanami’s jaw clenched. You smiled a little at seeing his reaction. “You should go look for something sweet then, do you need to borrow some coins? Was that what you were going to ask me?”

Gojo frowned. “What are you doing in here anyway? Tired of Ijichi? Trying to butter up another manager to do your bidding?” Gojo walked over and pulled out a chair from the table, flipping it and sitting with his chest to the back of the chair. “Nanamiii, lack of sugar is bad for my brain, you know how I am. Besides,” he turned his head towards you, “it’s not like you particularly like sweets; unless you got it for a special someone?” You felt your cheeks get hot. Gojo smirked, turning back to Nanami looking for a reaction. You glanced at him and he was deadpanned, staring at Gojo.

You laughed and broke the silence. “Let’s just split it up. Ijichi, sit and have some too.”

“I don’t share.” Gojo said, scrunching his nose.

“I don’t either, but I’d hate for you not to feel special to Nanami too.” You said back.

You looked at Nanami and smiled at him. He seemed to relax a little. Gojo frowned again. “I don’t share.” He mumbled again.

“The cake isn’t for you. We’re not sharing anything. What did you want?” Nanami said firmly.

“You’re no fun.” Gojo whined.

Nanami turned to you and handed you the bag with the dessert. “Please enjoy this. Thank you for keeping me company during lunch.” He got up and walked out beckoning Gojo to follow.

“Wow you’re so cool.” Gojo said to Nanami, teasing him on his way out.

You stared at him as he walked out, smiling like a fool.

“May I ask you about what just happened?” You jumped, not having realized Ijichi was still there.

“About what?” You said trying to play it off.

“Are you and Nanami…”

“Ah, no- well yes. I mean we’re not really…I mean…not yet anyways, not officially. We just- it’s…it’s complicated.” You knew you were probably red.

Ijichi was silent and you looked at him waiting for him to say something. He just smiled. “I see.”

“I don’t know why I’m so flustered.” You laughed awkwardly. “Don’t spread this anywhere. It’s still sort of new.”

“Okay.” Ijichi nodded.

You were both silent for a bit. “What do you think about it?”

Ijichi furrowed his brow. “You want to know what I think?”

“I do.”

“Hmmm…” he leaned back slightly. “I don’t really think anything of it. I was a bit surprised at first, but it’s only natural he would eventually talk to you.” He shut his lips to stop himself from saying anything else.

You looked at him. “What do you mean by that?”

“Nothing.” He said a little too quickly.

“Ijichi…” you knew if you pressed him he would tell. Usually you felt bad about how easily he was pushed into revealing information but today it was to your advantage. “What do you know? What did you mean by eventually? Did he talk about me before this week? I didn’t think he knew I even existed.”

“Ah, it’s not really for me to tell.” He was starting to sweat. You stared at him. What did he know? Had Nanami liked you back all this time? Since when? Ijichi stared back with resolve. You narrowed your eyes at him and leaned back in your chair.

“Don’t worry I won’t make you tell me what you know. I’ll get it out of him.” You smiled confidently. You wanted to hear the whole story from Nanami himself. Ijichi relaxed.“Do you think others will be shocked? By us I mean, by me and him, him and I?”

“I don’t see why they would be,” he answered.

You frowned. “That’s no fun.” You were sort of disappointed. “Wait, but why? Because everyone else saw it coming or what?”

“No. Like I said, those that know Nanami could have seen it coming, but,” you made a note on that, “you’re two adults. I don’t think it violates any rules.” He pulled out a handkerchief and wiped his forehead quickly. “Besides, I think you two are more alike than you think.” He turned to you. “And I won’t elaborate.”

The rest of the day felt painfully slow after your lunch. You finished the rest of your tasks around 4pm and decided to head towards the library. The meeting wasn’t for another hour and there were a couple of books you wanted to look over before speaking with Shoko again. There was so much about RCT you didn’t know. You wondered if you could find something that could explain what had happened at the museum. If it truly was taboo, there had to be accounts of a similar situation somewhere, right?

You inhaled deeply as you entered the library. The smell of the old books had always brought you comfort. A lot of your time had been spent here while you were a student. Your first month at the school had been rough to say the least. Yaga recommended you read up on some history and basics to try to catch up with the rest of the students. You did end up learning a lot, but what was book smarts to raw strength? You still got your ass kicked for the next two years.

What little you could find ultimately left you more confused. You found information about cursed spirit manipulation, object manipulation that could feed on the cursed energy of its opponents, but nothing related to reverse curse technique. You looked up at the clock and saw you had about 20 minutes before the meeting.

You began to pick up the books around you to put them back in their designated spots. You put away a couple of other books that were strewn about the tables too.You quickly moved around the library placing the items back on their corresponding shelf. The last book was a bit higher up than you were used to. Who had been reading about clan family histories? You reached up to put the last book away.

“Let me help you with that.” You turned and smiled at Nanami. He took the book from your hand and easily placed it on the top shelf.

“Thank you.” You said. “Do you want to head to the meeting?”

He looked at you but didn’t say a word. He took a step closer to you and you immediately blushed. “We have some time.” You felt your face get hot, and your hands went up to cover your face.

“I’m not sure I healed the succubus’ wound all the way, you’re very…” you tried to find the right words.

“Very what?” He said as he stepped closer, grabbing your wrists to gently move them away from your face. He smiled as you looked up at him.

You laughed and shook your head. You pulled your wrists out of his hands and put them on his shoulders to pull him closer. You wrapped them around his neck as he lowered his face and kissed you. He was so gentle, you felt yourself melt into him as he put a hand on your spine to pull you closer. He pulled back and smiled. You moved your arms under his and pulled him in for a hug, he wrapped his arms around you, holding you close. You buried your face into his chest and hummed happily. Embarrassment suddenly flooded over you and you pulled yourself back away from him.

“Sorry,” you muttered.

“Don’t apologize,” he said.

You looked up at him and felt yourself blush again. “I don’t know what it is about you… but you make me feel so safe,” you said. He smiled. “Kissing is nice and all, but,” you shrugged, “I like when you hold me.” You felt embarrassment from head to toe. You couldn’t believe you were actually saying this to him.

“I’ll keep that in mind.” He stepped closer to you again and pushed a piece of hair behind your ear. “We should go.”

“Right.” You quickly pulled yourself together, but immediately fell apart the second you looked up at him. “I can’t look you in the eyes, I’m too embarrassed.”

“Don’t be.” He began to walk next to you out of the library. “I’d like to hear more of what you like.” He smirked as he saw your flustered face. “Would you like to come back to my office after the meeting?”

“What for?” you asked innocently. The tips of his ears turned red and you swallowed hard. “Ah, I really should have Shoko look at the area on your neck where that curse got you. I’m really not convinced her spell wore off, but I’ll help you if you need me again I guess,” you teased.

He laughed and shook his head. “I think you’re the one who has me under her spell.” he stopped walking and you turned to look back at him. “I can’t get enough of you.”

Your hands shot up to your face to cover your burning cheeks. You turned and started walking again. “Let’s change the subject. I’m going to be beet red at the meeting.” You heard him let out a breath of laughter. He caught up to you walking by your side again. “What did Gojo want?” You felt Nanami stiffen at the mention of his name. “You don’t have to talk about it if you don’t want to.”

“No, it’s fine.” He said as he held the library door open for you. “It was about the Okkotsu boy.”

“Oh?”

“You were right, he was sentenced to death, but Gojo is trying to convince them otherwise.”

“What does that have to do with you?”

“He’s asked Ijichi and I to look into the boy’s past.” You were still confused. “He thinks there might be more to him than meets the eye.”

“Sorry I took him away from you like that.” Gojo appeared out of nowhere as you two approached the meeting room.

“Gojo…” Nanami said low, in a warning tone.

“What? I’m apologizing for lunch.” He turned to you. “He chewed me out for that, he’s so cold,” Gojo pouted, exaggeratedly.

“It’s alright,” you said. “I heard you’re going to try to save the Okkotsu boy.”

“What, ya against it?” Gojo asked.

“No, I think it’s a good thing.”

“She’s the only reason I agreed to help you out,” Nanami said flatly. “If she changes her mind, so will I.”

“Quite an influence she has on you.” Gojo said, he elbowed you playfully. “What did you do to him, huh?”

“I don’t really know,” you answered honestly. You looked at Nanami and smiled. “I’m growing more and more suspicious.”

Nanami smirked and opened the door to the meeting room for you.

“Thank you~” Gojo said, walking in first.

You spotted Araki and went over to sit next to her. Nanami followed and sat next to you. He bowed his head politely to Akari as he sat. She nodded in return. They would get along just fine.

The doors opened and Yaga walked in. The room went silent as he made his way to the front. “Thank you for making time to be here, I’ll make this very brief.” He looked hard at Gojo who was leaning back in his chair in the front row. “The Okkotsu boy has been captured and brought here, as I’m sure you’re all aware.” He took a deep breath and sighed. “The council has generously allowed the boy to live.” The air turned tense. You looked around and saw many of the sorcerers frowning. Gojo had a huge, self-satisfied smile on his face. “He will be starting as a student in April. Gojo will be in charge of him along with the rest of the first years. You are all to treat him as a student.” He said firmly. “If there are any questions or concerns please come speak to me directly.”

“This is bullshit.” One of the sorcerers said.

“As I said, if you have concerns, relay them to me. Now is not the time, this is not an open ended discussion.” Yaga said.

“He killed a sorcerer, how will we treat him like a regular student!”

“Do you want to take him on next?” Gojo said nonchalantly. He didn’t even turn back to look at whoever had spoken. The room went silent again. “If you have concerns you can go to Yaga, but I would prefer it if you came to me. I am taking direct responsibility for the boy after all. Anyone unhappy with my choice can say it to my face.” He stood up and turned back to look at everyone. “Or feel free to take it up with the boy himself, unfortunately I think you’ll find your fate similar to the last sorcerer who challenged him.”

You clenched your jaw. You understood his point but you thought he might have been taking it too far.

“Be strong or shut up. Understood?” Gojo said. Yaga was tense.

“That was all I had to say for the meeting. Stick around if you would like to speak with me.” Yaga began to shuffle his papers as he dismissed everyone.

“That was a little intense,” you watched as the sorcerers began to talk amongst themselves, frowns on their faces.

“I’ll say.” Akari turned to you. “What do you think about all this?”

“I’m for it.” You said. She furrowed her brows.

“Okay.”

“Okay?” You said. She looked like she was thinking deeply. “What?”

“I don’t know what to make of it, but I trust Gojo knows what he’s doing.” She sighed. “If I lose faith in him I’d lose faith in Jujutsu society altogether.”

That’s right Akari would rather die than admit it but she liked Gojo. Him and Ijichi had helped secure her younger brother a spot at the Kyoto school after he graduated middle school.

Akari looked down at her phone and sighed. “It looks like I’m going to be at work until 9 today, but text me when you get home. You have a lot to catch me up on,” she said looking at Nanami.

“Yes, ma’am.” You said. You all headed out to the hallway and Akari took off first. You looked back at Nanami and tilted your head. “So….your office?” Nanami smiled and nodded.

“Afterwards would you like din-”

“Nanami, can we speak to you for a moment.” You saw him grimace before he turned around. You looked to see who was calling him and saw that it was one of the sorcerers that had looked discontent with the announcement. He had a group with him, equally upset.

“He’s friends with Gojo, he's not going to help.” You overheard one of them whisper.

“What would you like to discuss?” Nanami questioned.

“I have a feeling you know.” The sorcerers said sternly. You couldn’t remember his name, he was a bit new.

Nanami furrowed his brows together and turned to you. “Go ahead to my office, I’ll meet you there. You know the way, correct?” he asked. You nodded. “Good.”

He turned and started walking towards the other sorcerers. You started walking again, you could feel your heart beating wildly. In his office? Was this a fantasy of his? You smiled a little, whatever it was, you were happy to indulge.

You stopped by the manager's break room on your way there and picked up the dessert he had gotten for you. You hadn’t eaten it during lunch, maybe you two could share it later. You stepped into the office.

Shutting the door behind you, you looked around. It smelled nice, like wood and books. Everything was pristinely organized on the bookshelves. You looked over at his desk and smiled. Sitting down, you looked at the chair behind the desk and imagined him there. How intimidating, you thought. No wonder Ijichi was always so nervous around him.

You unpacked the dessert and placed it on the desk. It was a single slice of cake, decorated with an intricate lace pattern of pink and white frosting. You frowned as you realized you hadn’t grabbed forks. You checked the bag. None. Damn.

You got up to see if maybe he had some in his desk drawers. You hesitated to open them. It felt wrong to snoop. You shrugged, you were just looking for silverware. It's not like he had anything to hide…You opened a couple of drawers and found various stationary supplies-papers, pens, stamps. You opened one of the upper drawers and saw a picture. Another picture of him as a teenager with the brown haired boy, Haibara, throwing up a peace sign. Nanami had a birthday hat on and looked miserable. You smiled.

Something about Haibara was so familiar to you. You racked your brain trying to remember where you had seen him before. There was just something about his eyes- round, soft, kind.

Suddenly the door opened and you quickly shut the drawer. You turned red as Nanami gave you a curious glance. “Sorry I was just looking for forks. Not that it would make sense for you to have them in here…now that I think about it…”

“Forks? For…?” He questioned. You looked down at the cake on the desk. “Ah, I see.” He closed the door behind him and you heard the click of the lock. You swallowed nervously. “I guess I should ask you what you would like to do next.” He looked up at you. “We could go to dinner…or we could stay here for a while…enjoying each other's company.”

You felt your cheeks grow warm. You looked down at the cake. “Le-Let’s stay and enjoy ourselves first.” Your eyes flicked back up to him. “It would be a shame to let the cake go to waste.” He nodded and began walking over to the desk, coming around it to sit at the chair.

You stood still for a second considering where to move to. You looked at the chair across from you and then back at him. He moved his leg to touch yours and cocked his head. You took the hint and sat on his lap.

You wiggled your way back until your spine was pressed into his chest. You reached over for the cake, shifting your weight and making sure you pushed your ass into his crotch. His hands went to your hips and he pressed his fingers into your skin as you brought the cake up. “This is why I was looking for a fork,” you said, holding up the cake to your faces. “I’m gonna end up sticky,” you said, pouting your lip. You looked around again. “I don’t suppose you have any napkins in here either?” You reached into your pocket for your handkerchief.

He moved his hand off of your hip and caught your wrist. “I can think of another way to clean you up. Don’t worry.” He pulled you back against him, his chin resting on the space between your neck and shoulder. “Go ahead,” he said.

You leaned your head against his as you pinched a piece of the cake between your fingers and placed it in your mouth. You smiled as he suddenly pulled your wrist back towards him and began licking the frosting clean from your fingers. You felt a fire ignite in your stomach. He released your hand and you went to grab another bite of cake. You swiped the frosting in your fingers, and instead of putting the sugar to your mouth you craned your neck to the side and smeared it on your skin. Nanami latched onto your neck instantly, licking at the sweet frosting and sucking slightly. You pushed yourself down on him, rocking your hips back. You quickly swiped some more cake on your neck for him to keep going.

He reached over and fed you some more and you wrapped your lips around his fingers. You grabbed hold of his wrist and kept his hand there, sucking on his digits, swirling your tongue around them. He shifted underneath you trying to accommodate the tent in his pants that had begun to push up on you.

Using his free hand he began pulling the blazer off of your shoulders and then moved his hand forward to undo the buttons on your blouse. He placed his hand over your bra and gently caressed your breast. You moaned. You suddenly got up and sat back on the desk facing him. You finished taking off your shirt and slowly removed your bra. Nanami sat back, entranced as you reached down to take more frosting and spread it from your lips, down your neck and onto your chest. Nanami stood up and nestled himself between your legs. You smiled as he lifted your chin up to meet his gaze. He moved his lips down to kiss you. You kissed him back running your tongue over his, he smiled and tugged on your lip with his teeth.

“You’ve made a mess,” he growled. He began kissing down under your chin, swiping the frosting off of your skin with nipping movements and licking his way down. He placed a kiss on your collarbone, stopping for a moment. You looked down at him and nodded. He smiled coyly and lightly bit your skin. You threw your head back as he continued. He reached your breast and pressed a flat tongue over your skin, licking upward a couple of times before latching onto your nipple.

“Fuck!” you exclaimed. He looked up at you, giving you a warning stare. You had to keep quiet. You laced your fingers in his hair and pushed him towards you, urging him to continue. He brought a hand up to knead your other breast. He ran his tongue around your bud and gently tugged your nipple with his teeth. You whimpered at his touch. He responded by pinching your other nipple between his fingers. You stifled a moan as he moved his other hand down to press between your legs. You rocked your hips forward into his hand. He pulled back, your nipple still between his teeth and he smiled. You laughed. You ran your fingers through his hair and sat up. He let go of your nipple and put both of his hands up to hold your breasts now.

“Soft,” he said, squeezing them lightly. He settled the pillowy flesh in his palms and pinched your nipples between his pointer and middle fingers. You smiled as he stared, transfixed.

“Hard,” you teased as you moved your hand down and touched his dick through his pants. He laughed. He watched silently as you scooted off of the desk and went to your knees. You quickly made work of his belt and pant buttons. You kissed at the skin along his happy trail, pulling down his boxers and immediately wrapping your hand around his erection. He hissed and put his hand in your hair. You looked up at him as you pumped him a couple of times. He furrowed his brows and placed his other hand on the desk to support himself. He was getting close. He bucked his hips into your strokes and moved his hand out of your hair in front of his cock to catch his release. You moved his hand away and placed your lips on his tip as you continued stroking. He let out a whimper as you ran your tongue around him. You took him deeper into your mouth applying pressure with your lips as you pulled back. He grunted and slumped forward. His hand now hovered behind your head, you looked up at his burning red face and you could tell he wanted to take your head and shove it forward. You hummed amused and saw him wince.

You pulled back with a loud plop and smiled up at him. He looked down at you and almost came on the spot. Your lips were glossy, a wetness coated your chin, and a string of saliva still connected the two of you. “Finish in my mouth,” you said, placing a small kiss on his tip. “It’s my turn to taste you.” His hand moved to the back of your head and he rocked his cock against your face. You closed your eyes as he spread the saliva on his dick all over your face. You smiled. His face was focused, his eyes wide as he looked at you in front of him. He was in a state of complete concentration, trembling in anticipation. You moved his dick back towards your mouth and nodded. He began pushing himself into you. You knew there was no way you could have taken all of him, but he watched carefully as you took him as deeply as you could.

Your eyes teared up as you tried not to gag and he pulled back. You began stroking him as you took him in again, once again applying pressure with your lips and swirling your tongue around his sensitive tip. He bucked his hips forward a couple of times. His breaths were becoming more labored and he was grunting slightly. He sped up his pace and you quickened your strokes and applied more suction as you hollowed out your cheeks. He grunted deeply burying his dick in the back of your throat and you felt  warm liquid splutter forward. You swallowed around him, drinking in the liquid and he moaned in bliss. You pulled off of him and winced as he continued to come onto your face. You laughed a little and opened your mouth again to catch the rest of his release. You rolled the dense fluid around your tongue taking in the slightly salty taste.

Both of his hands were on the desk now, and he was trying to catch his breath. He looked down at you and smiled, shaking his head. He pulled you back up on the desk. “I’ll take that handkerchief now,” you said, collecting the cum on your face with your fingers. He smirked and wrapped his mouth around your fingers. Your core pulsed. He licked up along your face collecting the rest on his tongue and you lurched forward to kiss him, sucking the fluid from his tongue and tugging at it between your teeth. He kissed a quick peck on your lips before pulling you forward and slipping your pants down your waist. He hastily removed your panties and knelt down, placing your legs on his shoulders.

You laughed and put a finger on his forehead stopping him from moving forward. He looked up at you with desperation in his eyes. You were a bit taken aback. You moved your hand down and caressed his jaw. “Do-Don’t worry about taking your time. I want-” he moved forward immediately, licking a long stripe up your core and rolling your clit in his mouth. You arched your back and laid back on the desk. You put a hand over your mouth as he continued. You writhed beneath his touch and almost yelled out when pressed two fingers into you. He curled his fingers and you whimpered. You lunged forward and dug your fingers into his scalp tugging on the blonde’s hair. “Nanami-” you whispered. The pressure building in your core was becoming more and more intense. “Nanami, fuck-!” He looked up at you with a deadly look in his eye, and slowed the movement of his fingers. You looked down at him and whimpered, “Nanami-” he shook his head. You smiled as you understood.

You laid your head back and pushed your hips up. “Kento….” you said quietly. He started his pace again. “Kento-Kento-FUCK!” You shut your eyes as he attacked your senses. Curling his fingers and twisting as he roughly tugged at your clit in his mouth. A hand flew to your mouth again and you muffled a scream as you finally felt the spring in your stomach snap and relief wash over you. You arched your spine again, pushing his face closer to you as you rode out your high. You collapsed back on the desk, breathing deeply.

You looked up at Nanami who was standing now. He pulled out a handkerchief from his jacket and moved forward to clean your face. He grimaced. “I don’t think I thought this through.” You laughed and grabbed your handkerchief and began cleaning his face.

He reached down and opened a drawer to your left. Forks, spoons, paper plates and napkins. You frowned playfully. “I never said I didn’t have any,” he said.

He grabbed a couple of napkins and continued to clean you up. Helping you slip your panties and pants back on. You tucked his dick back in his boxers and zipped up his pants. You looked over at your shirt and gasped. “Oh no!” you lifted it up and saw the frosting had gotten on it. It was right on the front. You sighed and shrugged. Nanami smiled apologetically. “It’s just a bit of cake.”

“Shall I attempt to lick it off again?” he asked snarkily.

“Oh please, we’ll be here another hour," you laughed as you wrapped your arms around him. "Not that I would mind...."

Kinktober Day 6: One Night Stand
Kinktober Day 6: One Night Stand
Kinktober Day 6: One Night Stand

You couldn’t place your finger on why, but the moment you laid your eyes on the man at the bar, you were drawn to him.

He had a certain presence around him, commanding. He was attractive, obviously, with neat, parted blonde hair and a jaw sharp enough to cut glass. He was tall too, and well built - a fact you could ascertain even though he was wearing a perfectly tailored pinstripe suit. Honestly, everything about him seemed perfect to the point of obsession - his tie knotted impeccably, the pin exactly straight and his shirt tucked neatly, even though it was long after the usual 9-5 hours.

But he looked tired. Drooping eyes with dark bags under them, and he hadn’t lifted his gaze from the glass of bourbon nestled in his hand except to ask the bartender for a refill. He seemed powerful and stoic, and he looked very much like you wanted to be alone. But just in case he didn’t, maybe you should give him an option…

You finished your drink, grabbing your things from the small corner booth to perch at the bar. You were only a few stools away now, but you were too nervous to speak to him directly, opting instead to order a drink from the bartender. The same as always: a martini, gin, dry, twist. The only ‘classy’ cocktail you could stomach. He nodded at you, moving to make it, and you watched, only drawn away for a moment to check yourself in your compact. You would probably have to freshen up after this drink but your make up was still relatively intact - one of the few perks of working an office job for years.

You put your purse away, looking up to see the bartender placing down your drink… that was wrong. It had an olive. You hate olives. You glanced up, not wanting to complain, only to see that he had his back to you. And there was no way in hell you were going to try and get his attention…

“Excuse me, Sir…” you heard a smooth voice say, and saw the man beside you lift his arm to beckon the barkeep back. “She ordered a twist, not an olive.” He was blunt in the way he spoke, but not rude. Commanding and polite. And he had noticed your order, noticed you. It made you blush.

“Oh, I’m so sorry about that. I’ll remake it right away.”

“Thank you.” He replied, smiling wordlessly at you as he continued to drink.

“Thank you,” you managed to choke out, forcing yourself to ignore the anxiety ringing in the back of your mind, “I never would’ve asked.”

“It’s not a problem.” You smiled again, trying to think of something to say to keep the conversation going, but to your surprise, he was the one who continued, “I’m Nanami, by the way.” You introduced yourself just as your fresh drink was served. You thanked the bartender while he apologised profusely, although you couldn’t help but notice that he was aiming most of his regrets at Nanami.

“I haven’t seen you here before.” He muttered once the barkeep had gone, his eyes never wavering from yours.

“No, it’s my first visit here. My office just moved location to a few streets down, so I figured I would test some of the bars in the area.” You paused, cautious of how fast you were talking. Relax. “Do you come here often?” He nodded, taking a sip of his drink.

“Depends on how late I’m working, but at least weekly.”

“What do you do?”

You hadn’t realised how close you had moved to him until your knee hit his while you were listening to him talk. You must have been leaning in subconsciously, mesmerised by him, but by the smirk on his lips halfway through his sentence, he didn’t mind.

“Sorry, I’ve been going on… I have a lot of enthusiasm for anything besides my work…”

“What’s your plan then? If you don’t enjoy your work, what are you aiming for at the end of it?” He cocked his head at the candour of your question, a more serious expression falling over his face.

“I… I want a house by the beach. A life without working hours. Or maybe just a job that… makes a difference. A real difference to real people, not just to the top 1%. I don’t really mind beyond that.” He sighed, finishing his drink quietly. You could see a lot of yourself reflected in his attitude. You wanted nothing more than to escape the routine, the boredom of it all, the constant feeling of worthlessness you were burdened with from working in finance. You just wanted something outside of that monotony. Outside of the greyscale.

He laughed humourlessly, placing his empty glass on the bar.

“Sorry, I ruined the mood.”

“No, no, I was just… well, I was just thinking about how nice that sounded.” You smiled at him, but it took a moment to realise that your hand had fallen to his thigh. You blushed, embarrassed, starting to remove it but he stopped you, his own hand falling on top of yours. Cold, but not uncomfortably so, his long fingers wrapping around your palm, thumb drawing lazy circle on your wrist.

“Did you maybe want to grab another drink at mine? It’s only a few streets away and the bar’s closing soon…”

“I’d love to.”

It had started raining, and you hadn’t brought a jacket with you. Luckily, you didn't mind the rain, a fact he seemed appalled by when you walked straight out into it without batting an eye. He didn’t have much of a choice but to follow, your hand still wrapped in his. You were both soaking by the time you reached the lobby of his apartment building, dripping in the elevator as you made your way up the many floors. You watched the number tick up hand in hand, your head rested gently on his shoulder. It would’ve been a good time to kiss him, but something stopped you. Something told you if you kissed him now, the night would end. You would fuck and fall asleep in each other’s arms and then you would never talk again. You didn’t want that. You found him fascinating, and as much as you wanted to fuck him, you weren’t ready for the night to be over.

His apartment was gorgeous - panoramic views of the city, minimal but tasteful furnishings, and a beautiful floor-to-ceiling book shelf full to the brim of classic literature. You made a beeline for it as soon as you had removed your shoes, the first time since you left the bar that you had let go of his hand, although it somehow felt colder now it was gone. You recognised a few titles, running your fingers over the spines as you read the names to yourself, marvelling at the perfectly alphabetised collection.

“I don’t know why I keep buying them - I haven’t had a chance to read them all yet. Not enough time.” He had moved beside you, arm touching yours with a warmth you hadn’t expected. He had taken off his suit jacket, his shirt almost completely dry beneath it, a welcome feeling next to your bare arms.

“I’ll help you.” You mused quietly, “We can divide and conquer.” He smiled at that warmly, his eyes seeming to brighten with it. After a blissful second, he seemed to come to his senses, tearing his eyes away from you and sighing in a way that suggested frustration with himself.

“Oh I’m sorry, you’re soaked through, let me get you a towel…” Before you could object he had rushed away, and taken his warmth with him, but he had left you smiling like a school girl.

After you had dried off just enough to not drip rainwater all over his floor, he offered you a drink. You accepted gratefully, and he motioned you to his sofa. You sat at the far end, curling your legs up so you could face him. There was something hypnotic about the way he moved. It was almost lyrical, the fluidity of his arms as he reached to grab a pair of tumblers from his cupboard, the ease with which he opened the scotch bottle, the ever so slight strain of his shirt buttons as he walked. He handed you the drink, fingers brushing slightly, and you thanked him, taking a sip and nestling it carefully in your palm. He had sat close to you, achingly close, the side of his thigh pressed tightly against your shins. It was comforting.

You couldn’t help but watch as he got comfortable in his own home, removing his cufflinks and rolling up his sleeves, meticulously intruding and folding his tie, placing it carefully on the table next to the cufflinks, undoing just his top shirt button, allowing you to steal a glance at his collarbone and the hollow of his neck. You wanted nothing more than to run your tongue across the pale skin there, hear his groan into your ear…

You snapped out of your daydream when he started to talk, taking a sip of scotch to wake yourself up.

“I’m glad you moved to sit at the bar tonight.” You nearly spit out your drink.

“How do you…” You hadn't seen him look up from his drink once all evening, so you weren't sure when he had time to notice you…

“I saw you come in.” You laughed in disbelief, a playful smile falling across your lips, but he looked serious. “You looked tired. Frustrated. You were squinting at your phone and nearly bumped into three people on your way to a booth.” Jesus, he really had noticed you. “And then you put your phone away, and I could see your whole body visibly relax. You were just watching people, looking at the world go by. I couldn't tell, but I thought you might've been…”

“What?” You whispered, whole body tense as you listened to him speak about you in such vivid clarity.

“Sad. You looked sad, at the lives other people seemed to have. The joy. Not jealous, just… resigned to the fact you don’t have that.” God, he was good. You chuckled without warmth, casting your eyes away from his and to your drink.

“You should be a shrink, you know…”

“No I just… I know that look.” You smiled, tucking your legs up to your chest and draping your arm across the back of the sofa. He wrapped his arm around your legs in a way that seemed instinctive, natural even, pulling you into his chest just a little bit, just enough to feel that gorgeous warmth emanating from him again. “So, what does your future look like? Away from a corporate life?” He echoed your earlier question, and you thought for a moment, gazing into his eyes, hoping for some inspiration.

“A cottage in the countryside, maybe in a historic village somewhere. A sprawling garden with runner ducks and cats and fruit trees. A vintage sewing machine and a record player and a library.” You paused, taking a sip of your drink to try and pull yourself away from your imaginary life before you got too attached. “I just want my future to be something… relaxing, and beautiful. Something or somewhere I can be content. And if I have to work, let it be somewhere I can make a difference. Even if I’m not happy, as long as I’m making a difference...” He began to run his fingers across your thigh in slow circles, his deep brown eyes scanning your face with an intensity you’d never seen before. It was… recognition. Acknowledgment.

“To being content… or making a difference.” he muttered, raising his glass to you, and you repeated the toast, lightly touching the rim to his before finishing the last of it.

You had just started to talk about something trivial when he noticed you shivering. You honestly hadn't even realised, so hypnotised by him that you didn't quite feel real, your body taking over while your mind just let itself admire him. His hand slipped over yours, a concerned look crossing his face.

“You’re freezing.”

“I’m fine, really…”

“No, you’re shivering. Let me get you a blanket or…”

“Or…” you paused, placing down your glass and allowing your now free hand to fall to his chest, “maybe you’ll could think of a creative way to warm me up…” His whole demeanour shifted, the worry replaced with a dark expression, a smirk falling to his lips.

“Yeah?”

“Yeah…” You muttered in response, stretching your leg across his laps and shifting your hips so you were straddling him, lips now only inches from his. “I heard it’s always best to take off wet clothes…” Your lack of recent flirting practice was showing, and you almost cringed at your own awful line, but the noise was stifled in your throat as he firmly pulled your lips to his. He breathed up into you, needy hands in your hair and teeth catching your lips as you smiled against him, settling your hips onto his lap. It didn't take long for his hands to fall to your waist, squeezing the soft flesh there in a way that made you whine, grinding down onto him ever so slightly.

“God, been thinking about this since I saw you walk into tonight…” he breathed against your collarbone, pressing a sloppy kiss there as you tried to catch your breath. You ran your nails through his hair as he did, and his teeth caught you, biting down and sucking in a deliciously painful way that was sure to leave a mark. It made your hips buck even more, so sensitive after making yourself wait longer than you ever would have for a one night stand, and you could feel him growing hard against you now. He pulled off your soaking top, leaving you in your bra and skirt as your fingers fell to his shirt buttons, deftly undoing them and running your hands over the broad expanse of muscle there. You needed him closer, but even as you pulled his chest against you, it wasn't enough. You needed him inside you.

“You look perfect like this…” he muttered, hands falling to your hips and rocking you back and forth against his length, your core throbbing, and you were already panting with need.

“Nanami…” You could already barely speak, wound up from hours of tension and obsession, needing release, needing something to alleviate the aching that was threatening to tear through you. “I…” The words didn't come, so you moved your hands to his trousers instead, trying to undo the button there but they were shaking. He caught what you were trying to say quickly, gently moving your hands and doing it himself, pulling himself from his boxers. He was bigger than you expected, the tip pink and leaking as it bounced against his stomach. You were impatient, not wanting to undress any more, setting yourself up perfectly above him and pulling your panties to the side. Your core was soaking, so ready for him, but his hands on your hips paused you. One trailed up to your face, holding you by the chin and pulling your lips to his.

“That’s better…” he whispered before releasing you, letting your forehead fall to his before you finally sunk down onto his cock. You both groaned with the feeling, your open mouths meeting briefly as you took more of him into you. The stretch was painful, but in such a perfect way it didn’t matter, and as your lips parted, your breathing got heavy in the small space between you. Your hips met his, and you moaned, feeling so completely and perfectly full. The hands that had settled on your hips moved to your ass and began to guide you up and down, gripping tight as you slowly lifted yourself off, savouring the feeling of him dragging inside your walls. Your arms draped around his neck, pulling him closer as you rode him until you were breathless, your sweat and pants filling the air between you. You were getting close quickly, the angle he was hitting mixed with the way your sensitive clit was grinding against him with every thrust. He was marking you now, hard love bites across your chest that made you whine, the sting delicious, and your hips started to stutter.

“I… oh fuck… I’m close Nanami.” It was electric, every single time he touched you sending you to new level of pleasure and you couldn’t help but moan unabashedly.

“Mhm… I’m close too…. never wanted anything… more than this… fuck…” His ramblings against your chest was enough to send you over the edge, blinding pleasure washing over you in waves as you felt him reach his peak too, hot seed filling you as you tried to catch your breath, body falling limp against his shoulder.

You showered together. Talked some more. Had another drink. Fucked again. He ate you out until you were writhing on the bed, screaming his name. Then you fell asleep with his arm wound tightly around your waist.

You woke up before him. Quietly collected your things and slipped out.

You wanted to leave your number. You really did. But even though you’d only met him a few hours ago, you knew he was the only thing that could keep you in the city. After everything you spoke about, everything you dreamed about with him the night before, you were done with the city. You needed out. You wanted back to your old life.

You had been offered a position at your alma mater a few months back. It was dangerous to be a Jujutsu Sorcerer, so you had declined, but you knew now this way of living was much more deadly.

Maybe that was the reason you had been drawn to him. Maybe he was the push you needed to finally be who you were.
