That was so crazy though i genuinely did not expect him to die like that. I knew that suzaku and lelouch swapped somehow, but for them to. LITERALLY SWAP ROLES. Ok lol i guess. Suzaku just bears this burden forever now?? And its insane how lelouch got the end that hr wanted, with the world gentler and nunally and suzaku safe. Goddd its acc insane the levels of masking this man did the whole fucking show. I know thats the point, but… damn.
Quick rant, but lelouch’s character is so intriguing to me - he’s selfish, but also selfless- idk the correct wording for it. He desires.. something, but he never puts himself in the picture. He doesnt expect himself to be there. Lelouch was so blinded by his hatred for his father that it broke him from the inside out, forcing him down this path.. and be was willing to take it. God.

Recently finished isat so… I will talk about it a lot from now on.
It’s so ironic that Siffrin, a character who forgets, a character that can’t remember his childhood or home or majority of his life, is the one that gets stuck in a time loop. They want to remember. They want to remember so bad but the one time they do, the one time they actually do is the time no one else does. Whether they forget or remember doesn’t matter - in both outcomes, Siffrin is alone. They can’t confide in anyone. Their home is forever lost and only Siffrin himself remembers the times shared with his family. They spent all of their life forgetting, and now the only thing they can do is remember - Reliving the same experiences over and over and over again.
+ Siffrin alluding their situation as a play is also… It’s been mentioned a couple times that they enjoy plays before, if i’m not wrong, and it’s common for characters in media to refer to the whole “life is a play” thing. I think it’s this very mentality and complete disregard for the individuals that each and every one of Siffrin’s family members is what leads to his doom in act 5. It’s not to say I blame Siffrin, it’s a very real and valid reaction to have. It’s understandable he doesn’t see his family as people anymore, especially if they keep repeating the same things - but the way he sees them as actors is why he wasn’t able to gather their strength or get any closer to them.
