You see, non verbal and non speaking are terms for people who can't speak for years and it's a disability (from what I understood), using those terms when we aren't disabled in that way is offensive for people who are that, we have seen a lot of non verbal people asking for people to stop using "I'm going/went non verbal" because it's minimizing their experience, so people have made alternatives to describe those experiences

We found a term coined for alters who aren't able to speak tho the body isn't non verbal and that's were non vocal comes from
