In the Depths

In the depths

Increased pressure

On my chest

Weight of water

Pushing down

Down down

Not looking up

Through fear

It will confirm

I'll never make it

Make it

To the surface

Look up

Through the gloom

Shapes

Floating above

A hand thrust in

Reaching down

It is not easy to keep your hand in

The waters

The waters

Can be cold

Can't tell if we can see

That hand

Don't know if we can reach

Your hand

But

Your hand

Could be the difference

Between drowning

Or not
