What exactly makes someone qualified for the Genius Society? Presumably a combination

Great intellect? Ratio has that. Great achievements? 8 PhDs, resolved a massive energy crisis, has cured at least one major disease. Lack of empathy? Considering Aiden, member #22, dedicated his entire life to benefitting the rest of humanity (I wish I could talk about my obscure muses with the public but nobody knows what the fuck I'm talking about), it can't be that.

So what exactly qualifies someone to be a member of the Genius Society, and why does Dr. Ratio not fit the bill?
