Zach Taylors & Amy Millihan

Holding hands, hugs, quick kisses, cute little handshakes and stuff, they love that, they really, really do. HOWEVER. Neither of them like when people get too into Public Displays of Affection - like when they see those couples that full-on french kiss in a public square or get too handsy with each other, it gives them The Ick, and they so hate that.

Dylan Millihan & Christine Nespor

It depends. Dylan's generally really reserved (a very grumpy version of being shy, like "what the fuck you looking at?" when strangers stare or something), and isn't a really touchy-feely person, he doesn't deal with too much touch well. He's more the kind to show his love through quiet actions or begrudging reminders for the other to take care of themselves. Christine is a very hyper extrovert that tends to go all in into relationships, and is very much a hugger and cuddler, but she's very respectful of boundaries. As they interact, Dylan's slowly starting to like hugs - but not too much, and not all the time - and Christine is learning alternative ways to show affection other than physical touch.

Liam Steele & Savvanah Hahn

HECK YEAH, they're into it. They're generally very "loud" with things that they do - in the sense they have a very strong presence that ends up getting all the attention when they're around - and that includes their relationship. They're rarely seen without the other, and they usually walk either holding hands or with their arms around each other's waist. They kiss, lean into each other while playing at an arcade machine, they cuddle, they blast their favorite love songs as loud as possible when in Liam's car. Like "HECK YEAH WE LOVE EACH OTHER, WHAT OF IT? (:". Some people are too quick to judge and think they're too "clingy" to each other but Liam and Savvy are just generally best friends who adore each other's presence - they're The Power Couple of this book.

Erin Niemand & Indigo "Indie" Lauriel

Nope. Erin's a very introverted loner who, for the longest time in her life, didn't have many friends and/or proper social skills. Indie's an extrovert, but she's a more layback kind of extrovert who just generally does her thing and enjoys life. Neither of them are very much into physical touch BUT they do have a secret handshake that only each other knows later on in the story. They do like cuddling while watching movies, but never in public - being too romantic-y in public just feels awkward for them both.

Conner Watsen & Maeve Fernandez

They don't mind it - they'll kiss in public, hug, just generally sit close to each other, give eachother piggyback rides, etc. Both of them just generally mind their own business and live their own lives no matter what others think, but much like Zach & Amy they don't like when people get too into it in public like, "okay, it's wonderful y'all love eachother but goodness that's a bit...intense". It just feels uncomfortable, but they generally just quickly acknowledge it and then carry on like they'd never seen anything amiss.

Special Attack - Just Fucking Topple 'Em (If he needs to, he'll just run straight into any group of enemies with his skateboard, so he topples them to the ground along with him)

Weaknesses - Traumatic triggers that lead him to spiral into a panic attack + Low Esteem (vulnerable to psychological attacks that could potentially leave him wondering whether or not he is worthwhile or if his friends truly care about him)

Idle Animation - Standing on his customized purple and black skateboard, with his cheap headphones he stole from the dollar store on and drinking a vanilla ice cream milkshake. He occasionally gives the camera a mischievous smirk.

Weaknesses - People targetting his sister or making snide comments about her safety + General Exhaustion + Trust Issues

Idle Animation - He's leaning against his Chevy, arms crossed over his chest, a scowl on his face. He occasionally checks his phone for the time, and may glare into the camera with an "what are you looking at, loser?" stare, before looking away with a sigh. He seems impatient.

Special Attack - "Did You See That? Oops." (Distracts the enemy with a comment about something they should look at, or generally makes them look away. The second they do he takes them by surprise and makes them trip down to the floor, then goes "Oh buddy, you okay?" before unleashing a barrage of cutting quips and calculated verbal burns, Vicious Mockery style.)

Weaknesses: Worrying if he is good enough/Impostor's Syndrome + Has a tendency to panic if someone makes him think he won't find his missing cousin in time.

Idle Animation: He's walking with a carefree smile on his face, talking friendily to people around him. At one point he adjusts his football team jacket, smiles at the camera and does a "I tip my hat to you" gesture, like a cowboy, despite not wearing a hat.

Special Attack - "Flip and Spray!" (Wildly sprays the enemy's face with her pepper spray, aiming for the eyes, before flipping them off and attempting to kick their legs from under them. If sucessful the enemy remains blinded and prone for the next 4 turns, but even if not, they stay blinded for a turn and their movement speed reduced by half)

Weaknesses - Abandonement issues and people threatening her freedom or her friend's freedom

Idle Animation - She's sitting somewhere and drawing on her sketchbook with intense focus, which she only breaks to take a quick swig of her coffee and keep drawing. Eventually she looks up from the book and happily watches a yellow butterfly passing by, before noticing the camera and waving in its direction with an excitable smile.

🎞️About/General Info🎞️

Amy's older brother, a very introverted and seriou 23-year old, Dylan was once a medical student, but after their grandmother died leaving them only debt, he had to dropout in order to take legal guardianship of Amy as they moved back to Vinethorn Grove. He resents their grandmother - Edith - greatly, both for the fact she was an absent figure in their life but because her gambling habits ruined his plans for the future. As of the start of the story, Dylan's especially withdrawn from anybody who isn't Amy, both due to the pressure of finding the jobs he needs to pay the bills and keep them afloat (while still paying their grandmother's debt) and because all that the small town of Vinethorn Grove has done since their arrival has been spreading harmful rumors and making his life even more complicated than it already was - especially after a local middle-aged woman, the 50-year-old Mrs Draycott, gets an unhealthy crush on him and, feeling spurned, sets off to destroy his life. When Amy and her newfound friends start investigating the town's bloody mysteries he is initially wary and against the idea of them digging into the Mayor's corrupt little secrets, but upon realizing that the teens would continue the investigation whether he liked it or not, Dylan decides to help them out in the search - if only to protect Amy, and begrudgingly, her friends.

Pronouns - He/Him Age - 23 Appearance - Tall and handsome, with long wavy hazel hair, which is styled in a way vaguely reminiscent of a mix of the 80s and early 2000s. He favors black button up shirts (and usually doesn't have the patience to button the last 3 to 4 buttons near the collar), simple dark denim jeans, black leather boots and a simple leather braid bracelet that he always wears. His usual expression is a tired scowl, both because he doesn't get nearly as much sleep as he should but also because he is the most introverted person in town and feels uncomfortable interacting with strangers.

Being alone with his thoughts, just chilling out, preferably somewhere quiet where no strangers will come to bother him

Mrs Draycott. For gods sake this woman is the human incarnation of the devil, she makes his life a living hell - both when she was "infatuated" with him (literally stalking him) and especially during her vengeful advances after he rejects her. She's the bane of his existence and there's few people he hates more.

Being unable to make ends meet or pay the bills, or especially, having to deal with the debt collectors that come knocking on his door.

People who try to scratch his Chevy or who almost bump into it with their own cars while being reckless.

Blackmail and people who try to use his insecurities against him.

Anything that puts Amy in danger or which makes him feel he has somehow failed her, that is his worst nightmare.

Memories of his grandmother - they always make him angry and upset, especially since her debt is a constant reminder of everything he couldn't achieve because of her and the dreams he had to leave behind.

Spending money trivially.

Being late to something important - both job wise and in his personal life.

Strangers who pry into his life and who make snide comments that aren't welcome - or worse, who judge them and tell him what he should 'do instead'. Nothing irks him out more.
