I think my favorite characters will always be immortal anthropomorphic beings. Nations embodied in people? Hell yes. Angels and demons that can't die except under highly specific situations when they fuck up? Yes. Human/monster embodiments of our fear? Yeah. Abstract concepts like death and dreams walking around pissing each other off? Absolutely.
