Maybe it's just me, but there seem to have been an unusually high number of dead animals on my campus this season.

I mean it's not uncommon to see dead chicks that fell out of the nest
but I've already seen two birds
(and a little bit of a third)
and today I saw two squirrels (one of which was a juvenile)
the bit of pigeon makes sense - we have a few birds of prey here
(oh - and the dead things in the basement of the lab building don't count)
