My amazing friend and incredible poet of a person wrote these heartbreaking words, and as soon as I read it, I immediately asked if I could illustrate it. And she said yes!

love how this highlights the hobbits being So Small in a world of big and mighty things
and yet
that they have a courage that's hard for bigger and stronger folk to come by -
one of someone very small who marches with friends into battle
out of love for them and home
