Im pretty sure ive already talked abt this but idk so um here i am

So one day i was with my friend (a) and we were playing a game. A asked if i knee what omegle was, and i said yes, but i never went on there. A ieot bugging me to do it and i finally gave in that night i went on omegle. I put my interests and all that stuff and then i stumbled upon this 1 guy who was supposedly 16. He seemed pretty nice, and asked me if i hade discord. I did, and we coudnt talk bc we didnt have our users right. Then he asked if i had snapchat, and then i downloaded it and friended him. He startsd saying some weird stuff and i got suspicious. It was somehting like this:

(I didnt actually go in my room, but from here on i started asking a discord server 4 help an dthey were like what but they were talking to someone else and were talking to me like i was a dumbass)

Anyways i told my friend abt it and she said ayo and laughed.

So um yea ive been keeping that to muself untill now.

On thw beight side, now i troll 35 year old men into thinking im 20 and then trying to look h*rny and then i leave.

So um yea moral of the story is that everyone on omegle is a 35 year old man looking to hook up with someone.

I realize I have not been upkeeping that, but just so everyone knows, if you dont have your age in your bio, and you interact with any of my content that that is not considered SFW, I will be blocking you. I need minors to learn how to lie online again. Your name is Derek, you’re 25 and work in accounting now. Please for your own safety learn how to fucking lie. And if you don’t want to lie, then don’t put your age anywhere. Don’t even say whether you’re a minor or not. It is perfectly easy to avoid adult spaces without signposting that you are doing so because you’re a child.

Stating your age doesn’t protect you this only makes you a target.

hi quick question ,is there a way i can block certain tagsor like inaproriate content al togtaher? like i know acoounts can b blocked but like evrytime i am scrolling down a normal fandom tag or some other tag like climate change,feminism, etc etc inaproriate content comes up, and i dont like to see that . is there that stuff cann be permantly blocked? @tumblr staff

there are no hard rules for human interaction but honestly i think everyone online would benefit hugely from operating under the assumption that, unless you have been given a specific reason to think otherwise in discrete instances, internet strangers do not want to be approached with:

your trauma, illnesses, or deep-rooted self worth issues

any come-ons or sexual content

over-familiar playful rudeness

information about your dnd characters/ocs

disagreements with their harmless subjective opinions

if it is your first time speaking with someone i can not highly enough recommend that these do not be your opening topics
