I’m making a Webtoons!

Here’s the overview:

It's a silly thought because Kubo clearly didn't specifically account for it but I do sort of want to just take stock, i guess, of all the little wuxing oriented details that just kinda line up in Bleach.
The wuxing to be clear, is a bit of daoist mysticism generally translated as "the 5 phases" and outlines the relationship between 5 core elements. But this structure is actually applied to a bunch of different sets of 5, and across those sets certain essential qualities are linked or shared.
So for example Wood is associated with East, with Green/Blue, and Spring and there are kind of some shared themes there around growth and plants and such. Fire and South and Red and Summer. Water, North, Black, and Winter. Etc.... They are also where the very popular 4 Auspicious Beasts motif comes from, something utilized pretty heavily in anime and manga and videogames: White tiger, Blue Dragon, Vermillion Bird, and Black Tortoise/Snake. There is also a 5th "direction" considered Center, and a 5th season considered the transition between seasons; it's associated with, variably, either a golden qilin or golden dragon, and sometimes the dragon is also just the chinese god emperor and thus interchangeably a dragon or a just a dude.
There are a lot of odd little idiosyncrasies, I won't get into all of them here...
Starting with the obvious, though... The 4 gates around the seireitei are directional, and each have a name evoking the corresponding and color, and even mythic beast. Honestly the gate guardians themselves don't appear to be super cohesively themed after the beasts, although the Dragon guy verymuch has an asian dragon beard thing going on, and the black tortoise guy is black.
There is no central guard but conspicuously Kirinji's name comes from Qilin, but apparently according to official height he's actually not nearly as tall as Kubo's drawings always made him seem. Not that he was on the same scale as the gate guardians...
Hacchi's big 4 Beast Gate kidou array he uses fighting Baraggan evokes this same motif with the correct color, and animals. He is also conspicuously large, but not to the degree of the gate guardians...
In regard to directions and associated colors, the Central 46 has a series of banners with made up hybrid kanji combining the 4 cardinal directions and the correct colors. And then the Royal Guard are introduced with according positions as General of the North, South, East and West, implicitly leaving Ichibee as General of the Center direction, which makes sense since he's the defacto leader.
I complained of it at some point when the anime was airing but it annoyed me that when they added the big tsuba crest thing when the royal guard killed themselves that they were not correctly oriented in any kind of cardinal formation.
In a small post I made forever ago, I lightly proposed that the Sword Five actually fit the elemental associations of the wu-xing in accordance with their names and roles as tools of smithing:
Tokie and Mera being Water and Fire are obvious,
but Hasuka being tongs is reflected in the "chopsticks" in her name which I associated with wood(plus flowers in her name),
Nomino being a chisel and having it in her name pegs her as the metal one,
and Tsuchimiya as hammer has a pun on Earth:"tsuchi" in her name.
Oddly the anime chose to give them each a unique color outfit, although they are the 5 colors in the wuxing they do not match the elements
But then there's the incomplete set of season that I actually think are being evoked in the 4/5 Noble Houses.
The Shihouin name and family crest reference the Japanese maple, and Autumn is traditionally the season for moon viewing, which feels like it pegs them as an Autumn themed family.
The Kuchiki name refers to dying trees, and the family crest features what appear to be cranes, and the Japanese red crowned crane is an icon deeply associated with winter and the snow.
Finally, my only very loose guess on the Shiba is that they're Summer themed mostly on the back of Kukaku's fireworks gimmick and summer fireworks in Japan, but also because the other evocations we get of the family's spiral crest are Kaien's whirlpools and Ganju's cliff and sand spell, which all seems to evoke the beach or waterfront bluffs, which again sort of point toward summer. No idea what theoretical spring or transitional season families would be like.
The LN's Tsunayashiro family does not fit this in any way I can recognize.

CHRISTMAUS 2024 SUBMISSIONS
Today I am proud to announce ChristmAUs 2024! As you may have seen earlier, I have taken the reigns of ChristmAUs from @fmsdraws / @ut-poppy-askblog (with his permission). Unfortunately, I can not make a game like ChristmAUs 2023 (which you should really play Link here)! However, I do have a big plan for ChristmAUs 2024, and that plan is: Animated Christmas Card!
That's right! Unlike most of the other ChristmAUs collabs, this one shall be animated! Give your AU characters animations to bring them to life for all to see! Of course, animation is a hard, time consuming process. But with over 2 months to work, and with the simple rules on how the characters should be animated, it shouldn't be too difficult to get your character in in time!
RULES: *Submissions are open until Sunday, December 8th, 12 AM! Meaning that they are open through out December 7th and then they close! *Submissions must be in the style of Undertale and Deltarune! *No limit on the amount of characters you can submit, but I may ask you to slow down if I feel you are submitting too many. *The AU character(s) you submit must come from a publicly revealed AU that must have some content behind them other then this ChristmAUs. This includes: Art, Audio, Comic, Animation, Photography, Game, Sprites, Written Sources, or any combination of them. *No content that would be 18+. This is a family-friendly ChristmAUs! *No content that would be harmful or hurtful to anyone. ChristmAUs should be a joyous time, and hate and harm have no place in it. *No content that would violate the TOS of the majority of websites, including Youtube, Reddit and Tumblr. *You must have permission to submit the character, if you did not create them yourself! Submission Rules: 1: Make sure you've read all the rules! 2: Give your Handle; how you want to be credited in the public. I do not accept anonymous contributions! 3: Share your characters name(s) and AU(s), along with link to the AU/those AUs! 4: Share your characters sheet(s); this should include every frame individually used for the animation, and I will add them in myself. Character Sheets should be 1x1 (meaning a pixel is just 1 pixel). Animations should be based on 12 Frames Per Second and Frames should be based on Multiples of 6! (6, 12, 18, etc.) 5: Share where you wish for your character(s) to be placed on the map. Keep in mind that while I will try to place them where you wish, I may move them slightly to fit the environment better. 6: Optionally, if you wish, include a GIF of the animation so that I can get an idea of how they should look in action! 7: Additionally, for those who can't animate, or for those who want to go above and beyond, there are also opportunities to add static content to ChristmAUs. These include: +Ornaments (20x20 max) +Gifts (30x30 max) +Table Set Pieces (45x45 max, 13 Max) +Pictures (30x18 or 17x18, 15 Max) 8: Characters should not be placed in areas that obviously would not fit them; like a massive character in a tiny area, for instance. 9: No walking animations, or animations that move characters from their standing point. This is to ensure there's no collisions and for a maximum amount of characters on the map. 10: All animations should loop into themselves. No animations should simply end. 11: All art submissions should include your handle/credit name!

WLW Fanfic Masterpost
Over 2016 this small side blog received a lot of asks inquiring into some good stories to read, so here’s a (rather paltry but hey!) assortment of some fanfics I’d recommend, sorted by pairings! (Also, all of these fics are rated M, apologies for those who are put off by this.) I’ll add to this as time goes on! (Also, again, another side note, many of these I simply ripped out of my story folder, so apologies if the descriptions are a bit vague. It’s been months, if not years since I last saw some of these.)
Bellamione:
-Dark Effects: Complete, it’s been forever since I read this, but I remember this is one of the ones where Hermione sides with Bellatrix in a darker manner.
-Timeless Longing: Complete, Hermione is sent back in time via a time turner and meets a younger Bellatrix. This is one of the softer fics in this fandom, I suppose.
-Twin Dragon Heartstrings: Complete, no abuse, Hermione and Bellatrix become a couple very early on. One of the softer and smuttier fics in this fandom.
Bellice:
-What Goes Up: Complete, a personal favourite, there’s not much to say other than that. Healthy progression, albeit a bit quickly, decent plot and lots of AngstTM contrasted by lots of fluff. Worth the read.
-Mesmeric Stranger: Complete, 93 chapters of Bellice. The chapters aren’t too long, so it’s not an absolutely arduous read if you have the time.
Bubbline:
-Our Perfect Disease: Incomplete, You know how I said we’ve all been disapointed by an author at some point or another? This is why. Amazing story, scattered but progressive plot, and doubtful to ever resume.
Faberry:
-Better Where it’s Wetter: Complete, I couldn’t make these titles up if I tried. Very, very, very, exceedingly dramatic. Rachel and Quinn go on a LGBT oriented cruise with Rachel’s fathers, and Quinn questions the hell out of her sexuality. Fluff ensues.
-Defining Happiness: Complete, this won’t be for everyone as there’s a gp in it, however if you overlook that bit, the plot itself is wonderful. The angst/fluff burn is worth the ride.
-I Got Lucky: Complete, focuses on Quinn and Rachel as adults, married, and with children. Goes on to give their kids, who are now in high school, back stories, which might not sound like everyone’s interest, but let me tell you, it’s stellar.
-I’m Getting Older Too!: Complete, sequel to “I Got Lucky”. Just as wonderful as it’s predecessor.
Gelphie:
-Not Completely, Altogether Here: Complete, wonderful, a personal fav. Glinda is essentially a ghost, and Elphaba is the only one who can see her. Heavy with plot and angst, the fluff and smut is well earned.
-Eternity Effect: Complete, sequel to “Not Completely, Altogether Here”, this fic is just as good as it’s prior.
Keffy:
-99 Problems: Complete, if I had to choose a favourite story, it’d be this. This story is a companion piece to it’s peer, “I Hold a Force I Can’t Contain”, and both run on the same timeline (IHFICC is Naomily, and definitely worth looking into, however 99 Problems is by far preferential imo). A bit edgy at times, it discusses the depth of Effy’s mental health and how Katie stabilizes her. Not the easiest read, however it’s more than worth the trek. About 1/3 through the story the plot lightens and things become easier. I also highly recommend anything else written by the author, HyperFitched.
Kigo:
-Tangled Up in Green: Complete, beginning is a bit fast. Kim is impregnated by Shego from a battle (the process is rather obscure as it happens via a joy buzzer, like a gag prank, but looking past that) the story is worth it. Lots of action and drama +angst/fluff, the story is worth reading if you’re okay with the underlying pregnancy theme.
Malora:
-Her Truest Desire: Complete, smut. There’s no other plot, it’s just very good smut.
-Peccatum in Carne: Complete, Maleficent is a Latin teacher and Aurora longs to be with her. When they finally get together, drama ensues as Aurora’s father is a rather horrid man. Fluff and angst, smut too.
-Trials and Turbulence: Complete, warning for slight aggression from one of Aurora’s advisors. Everything turns out fine, however, as Maleficent saves the day like always. Aurora turns to Mal when she’s required to marry, and they find a way around it. Easy to read as there’s only 29 chapters, and each one is rather short.
Reysma:
-Flagrant Foul: Complete, smut. Very, very good. College AU.
-Remaining Human: Complete, smut. Discusses a bit, however, how Rey and Phasma bond to each other and win the other’s trust and love. Fluff, worth the read.
Shepsoni (F Shepard/Liara):
-A Gift for You My Commander: Incomplete, wonderful writing, however sadly abandoned. Still, however, this is one of the few fics I’d recommend that isn’t finished. Female Shepard survives the Reapers and the ending of ME3 and goes on to have a life with Liara. The whole thing is essentially smut and fluff, it’s lovely.
Wayhaught:
-Open Range Hearts: Complete, Nicole is a ranch hand and Waverly owns the ranch with her sister, Wynonna.

Wels. A knight. Right? Duh
Sent on a mission to spy and collect data or whatnot in a nether castle or some thing like that.
But then he gets caught. Takin him in.
He was putting up a pretty good fight and is very smart for a knight, so they decide to clone him.
Taking dna and stuff.
Then they make the clone, Helsknight.
But Wels didn't know about the cloning or what they were doing in general.
So when he escapes he ends up in hermitcraft or a small town that has 20+ ppl ya know.
Time skip, time skip whatever.
Then it goes to Beef and his cloning machine.
Because Wels doesn't know about Hels yet, he tries it out. Test run or some sort.
But I doesn't work. Why?
Because there is already a clone of him!
You can only have one clone. Cause it is what it is.
Then the random stuff happen from there.
They assume that the machine is just broken and leave it to fix later. Probs never
(You guys can take this idea just tag me if you make it a short story or whatever, I would read this xD)
