Preliminary Brainstorm-sketches for the Ozite Chronicles, forming in my brain as of last night....at 2.30am. I am excite.

Post-apoc Oz preliminary character design sketches.  I did these at work last week, then finally got around to scanning it and compiling it to share.  I really hate the over-cartoony style. I've already got a few more realistically proportioned sketches of Dorothy. I like semi-realism MUCH better for this project. I'l upload that one later...For now, here's the embryonic character development of Dorothy, the Lion, and one of TinMan (stuck in a Red Rain storm). I'm sure that very few of these designs will stick as the project continues, but I like keeping a record of where I started. 

Dorothy [aka "Rat"]. This is the ONLY SKETCH of her that I don't hate....and I have over 5 pages of attempts. lol. I needs to work on my anatomy and proportion skillz, but this sketch indicates that I'm capable on some level.  Finally a concept that doesn't look like Kim Possible (though the themes remain...>=/)

Lighting is hard. Backgrounds are hard. Basic color is not hard, but it is time consuming. Yay! Something resembling Progress!
