As I get on the passenger sit, Paul tousled my hair. “I knew you wouldn’t mind it”, he laughed. Then he turned the key and started the engine. He was about to start driving but stopped for a moment.
“I almost forgot. Your driver license”, he put his hand out with his palm facing up. “You won’t be driving alone anyway. But I’ll keep it for those times when I go for some parties and would need you to drive me home afterwards.
I reached down for a wallet in my pocket, took my driving license and laid it into Paul’s hand without questioning his demand.
“And don’t forget to leave me some money for gas” I took two fifties and a twenty from my wallet, everything I had except some coins. But I didn’t had enough time to decide how much I should leave for Paul. He just grabbed all those bills.
“Good boy!”, he patted me twice on the lap while putting my driving license and money into his pocket and started driving.
