what i love about percy jackson is that it is the only series in which the main protagonist is universally loved by everyone. you never hear someone say that harry potter is their favourite character but sooo many people love percy.

in love with percabeth nailing the majority of couple tropes:

enemies to lovers / enemies to friends to lovers

slowburn

angst

underwater kiss

jealousy (on both ends)

literally going through hell for each other

soulmates (especially as percy’s fatal flaw is loyalty and annabeth has abandonment issues)

best friends

power couple everyone ships

both being so hot that everyone has a crush on them

the universe (cough cough rick riordan cough cough) wants us to not be together but i won’t listen

there are probably a load more but these are all i can think of off the top of my head.
