I'M MAKING AN ENTIRELY NEW POST ABOUT STUFF I LIKE AND DISLIKE ABOUT POKEMON

So the BD/SP artstyle SUCKS and I HATE IT why is it trying to be CHIBI and ALSO 3D it looks SHITE

Sword and Shield? Subpar. Why did they make all the Galarian (UK inspired) variants so depressing? I GET IT. The UK is stereotypically a depressing place. But it can be beautiful, and while I love cursola, WE DONT NEED ALL THE VARIANTS TO LOOK LIKE THEYRE DYING! :(

Pokemon games are far far far too fuckin expensive nowadays. I'm not paying £50 for an eh game with a sucky UI when I could buy pokemon ultra sun for £10 on ebay with a lovely split screen effect for the UI (YES I AM BIASED)

These are just personal favourites, but Pokemon X/Y, Sun/Moon are just...mwah

Also disliking all the "cute/modern" stuff they're going with nowadays, but that's not super egregious. Like...lechonk isn't that funky, we've had cute pigs for ages. Also? That bread dog pisses me off. Don't know why. Also the starters for sword and shield? Wonderful, I adore any new bunny rabbit pokemon. Scarlet/Violet? Subpar.

The legendary bikes...where to even start. Well, they're kinda ugly, and also weird as hell. Lemme ride my tauros around. Or smash rocks w my Sharpedo. Or get...carried in my machamps arms??? Ignore that one. I think the new bike pokemon. Kind of suck. Eh.

We've come to the end of my far too long rant about pokemon, but I hope you didn't enjoy reading this and that you do enjoy the rest of your day

It’s a shame that typhlosion is going to become the victim of really unfunny s*xual jokes with in the Pokémon fanbase that people just aren’t going to let go of. But you must be wondering…how do I know this?

I’ve seen it before, there are many other Pokémon that can be good expamples but these two especially are big ones, among some other furry/humanoid Pokémon.

And as much as that makes me really uncomfortable, I am not going to let that affect how I feel about typhlosion. I recommend to not let these type of horrid jokes art, or whatever, affect how you feel about a certain Pokémon, especially if it’s one you’re very passionate about. As someone who’s a huge fan of a lot of furry/human like Pokémon and am a furry myself, I’ve seen this type of song and dance so many times over the years and even formerly had ties with artists that drew those Pokémon in a certain way (many of those artists I knew as a minor and they were very toxic people, but I’ve cut them off when I began to be more aware of how bad they were, but that’s a whole other story)

Of course I understand the stuff that was revealed about typhlosion is disturbing, and it’s okay to feel disturbed about it, but personally, I’m not letting this ruin the fact that typhlosion is one of my favorite fire type starters. Though I feel like a big reason why I am not letting this phase me much is mostly due to me not being very active within the Pokémon fanbase itself since 2019-2020 due to how awful the discourse regarding newer games was and still is to an extent, which thankfully isn’t very common in tumblr from what I’ve seen.
