Pole Bear - Tumblr Posts
You guys remember pole-bear's human designs for the FNAF animatronics, right? Well, I've been feeling kind of nostalgic for them lately. I always thought they were cute and fun takes on otherwise spooky characters.
I just wish they'd given the Withered animatronics proper designs.
Yeah, they drew a faceless Bonnie, and they made Freddy, Chica, and Foxy look tattered to show that they were "withered," but compare the actual Classic and Withered animatronics to each other. They may fundamentally be the same characters, but they have notably different designs between the two games. I wish pole-bear's art back in the day could have conveyed that.
That being said...
I found some colored pencils in my room, so I figured I'd give it a try, starting with my boy, my main man...
Withered Freddy

I wanted his outfit to have a more "antique" feel to it than their normal Freddy design, so I gave him a nice, classy suit with a tailed jacket. I thought a nice, deep chocolate brown color for his suit would really sell the upscale vintage aesthetic; however, it doesn't look the best here since I had to make do with a medium brown pencil and a black one...and I'm kinda trash at coloring anyway. The pants are a slightly lighter shade than the jacket here, but I might change them to be the same in the future. The bandages around his knees coincide with the actual Withered Freddy's leg damage, and I included a few smaller rips and tears for good measure.

Here's a closer look at his face. It's pretty close to the basic pole-bear Freddy face, but to match his in-game counterpart, his pupils are always glowing white. I like to draw all my Freddys (Freddies?) with little fangs, too.
Stay tuned for Bonnie. ^^

Today, we have the spookmeister himself,
Withered Bonnie

Fitting with my Freddy redesign, I wanted to give Withered Bonnie a more retro, antiquated feel to his outfit. However, fitting with his general demeanor and design trends in pole-bear's works, I also wanted to make sure he kept a more fun and casual aesthetic as well. And you know what? Vests are amazing for that! I think his vest + arm garter combo give him a "Wild West bartender" vibe; this way, he doesn't look out of place next to Freddy, but he still feels like a bit of a free-spirited wild card compared to his grizzly companion. I did consider giving him darker pants to match his garter/buttons/shoes, but khakis just felt right.
As for his "withering?" I bandaged up his right hand, gave him a sock in place of his left shoe, and tore up the left sleeve to make it look like a cascade of wires.

And here's his face...kinda. Not really a face. I guess it's his head? There's not really much to say about a faceless bunny man, but he's here and ready to make face puns.
Chica's up next. :)

Today, we have the sneaky scarecrow (seriously, she never appears anywhere outside of the cameras until she's right in front of you)...
Withered Chica

For Chica, I immediately knew I had to give her a 1930s-1950s sort of aesthetic. That's just the time range I associate with retro diners. To match, I gave her a slightly fancier hairstyle than usual; Shirley Temple was a big inspiration there.
For her "withering," we've got the bandaged arm stumps. That was always something that bothered me about pole-bear's depiction of Withered Chica; they just gave her gray gloves, not fully committing to the withering like they did with Bonnie. I also included a couple scrapes on her legs and a bit of tearing in her clothes so the damage would be more uniform.
But what about her jaw?

That's where her bow comes in. It's a bandage keeping her jaw closed. She can still move her mouth a bit, but her head isn't going to suddenly break off into two pieces.
You guys know the pattern. Foxy's next.

I've got a few sketches for today! I can't show the rest because for me they are too ugly to post on the Internet. ( bonny's humanization DS by pole-bear )

Happy Super Late Birthday to my Favorite Inspired Artist
Pole-Bear <3
Uh... swap!AU???
A long time ago I had a concept for this AU. It was askew and crooked, without any normal ideas. And then in 2017 I wanted to depict Swap!Night guards in Rebornica artstyle. (Let me explain: Kevin is a night guard from FnaF 3 by Pole_Bear).
Just recently I found out that this drawing was published on Pinterest and was liked by many. This inspired me to make a redraw. To make drawing easier, I slightly adjusted the original style to my own. And the first ones I drew were Scott and Vincent. I've been thinking for a long time about whether to make Scott "the Red Guy", but that's it for now. Maybe I'll redo it later.

Then I drew Mike and Jeremy. The guys haven't changed much, but somehow… Bonnie mask, yay!

The last art was a whole challenge for me. I don't really like drawing backgrounds, but I wanted to work hard here. Kevin and Fritz look… ok, but I think I could do better.

That's all for now. Thank you all for your attention!
Why is my Vincent the way he is?
Just recently I came across this post and I was overcome with anxiety. Like, I never thought much about the fact that in Rebornica's canon Vincent is black, because… he's literally purple! And I always drew Vince the way I wanted, but now I felt like "the sins were crawling down my back". Hahah….. Guts, if you are reading this right now, there are no complaints against you! It's all just "cockroaches in my head"... :"""D
Despite all this, I wanted to tell you all why my Vincent is like this and no other. When I was younger, the image of the Purple Guy came from several artists. It turned out to be a kind of cocktail of different facts and headcanons. Let's talk about them! ^^ How is my Vincent similar to his alternate versions? 1) Official William Afton. EYE COLOR ONLY. 2) Purple Guy by Pole_Bear. I mentioned earlier that I used this exact palette to paint Vince. I drew in this artist's style for a while because I liked the humanization of animatronics. It's stuck in my head, you know. 3) Vincent the Purple Guy by Bonnie Bunny (known now as Mobox87). When I was a kid, I really liked their videos on YouTube. I admired their ability to make cool animated music videos. They also drew Vincent purple most of the time, but when they came out with the animation "Purple" I was absolutely in awe of the design! In addition, this animation showed that Vince regrets what he did, and my Vincent lives with guilt 24/7 :) 4) Vincent "Bishop" by Rebornica. Everything is simple here. It was this Vincent that I liked the most. The way he was alive, despite all the bad things he did. He has favorite things, he has fears. I love him. 5) Vinny from "Five nights of flirting" by Zombbean. The game revealed that Vince was not the killer. And I just took this fact into account. 6) And finally… me. Why? I try on the roles of characters enough to write them better. But because of this, my personality and my beliefs often transfer to them. As an Author, I put a piece of myself into my “mentees”, which is why they can be like me.
Phew! I spoke out, and I feel better now :") This was how I see my Vincent, and remember: "EVERY Vincent is beautiful, keep creating great content"!

Alex' friends
Scott's eldest son had friends. After Alex' death, they came to Watson's house from time to time to visit him. In some ways they blamed themselves for their friend's death, but now Fredrick, Brian and Amy were able to let it go and move on.
These guys' designs (and names) were inspired by the missing children by Pole_Bear.

More purple haired people! (2014)
Vince has always been a good example, even before he was forced to be one against his will.

What have I done?
In short, @strangeaxel inspired me to draw in the Rebornica's style. This artist does some cool ask with guards, so go check it out! Meanwhile, I'll show you what I've got. I drew according to my AU, I was interested in how my designs would look in this style, so something may be different.

At first I just wanted to draw Jeremy. I like the way he looks with eyes. Mike, in my opinion, hasn't changed at all! 🤣 And Vincent… in addition to the hairstyle, I left his pupils.

"Who's your favorite guard?", "Fritz", "Then why don't you draw him more?" Okay, let's fix it! And oh my god, I love the end result! 🥰 In the process I even wanted to color him, aaaah… I'm melting…. 😩💜

Mike's daddy issues goes brrr. ... And Alex (Scott's eldest son, let me remind you) in the last minutes of his life.

I'll tell you more about Kevin someday. In the meantime, I'll show you him in a trainee's scarf. I also wanted to draw the Purple Bros to show their differences.

And regular PurplePhones, nothing unusual.

I really enjoyed this experiment. I might make a separate column out of it, but I'm not sure. For now, this will be a one-off post. ....I need more practice.
