Randomization Makes It Less Appealing - Tumblr Posts

I've seen these pop up a lot, and I'm curious about this topic. (Some explanation under the poll, in case you're not familiar!)

For those unfamiliar, an adopt is a premade character design you can buy and use yourself as a character. It's a fun way to adquiere a new character with an already set design

An adopt gacha is a system some adopt sellers have developed, where multiple designs are presented and you can roll for one of them and get them at random. Some allow you to just buy the one you want for an extra price, some don't. Normally you can see the available designs, but some keep them obscured.

I have fairly negative opinions on gacha because of how it exploits gambling addictions, but I'm curious on how people see these when done by artists!
