You hate to say it, but you loved romance novels
Or.. you consider that you don’t love it.. rather ‘invested’ in it
But you knew that you were lying to yourself, so as the whole crew. Whenever you got the chance you would just read along the pages on end - unless you had something else to do. Well, you read it during cleaning duty which isn’t exactly the best plan, considering you could get caught reading this, or even get in trouble with Law.
But you didn’t care, it’s just fiction..
Right..?
That’s what you would tell yourself, anytime you flipped to that one.. spicy, or steamy page that would make your face have a red hue, as if you’re head was on fire, trying to keep your act together.
And you ended up getting that page once again today,
You sat on a barrel near the top of the submarine reading that page while trying to keep a nonchalant look on your face, it was obvious you were reading something sexual, Penguin could tell by the look on your face, even the title gave it off, ‘Her pleasure - volume 5’ so, a curious Penguin walked up to you and grabbed the book out of your hands, flipping through a few pages.
Your heart stopped, your hands stuck in place, as if you were still holding the book in your hands but there was nothing there, eyes slightly widened and frozen in place.
You weren’t the only one who went pale, Penguin’s jaw was dropped to the wooden floor of the ship,
“HAH-?! Y-“ He blurted out before shouting out, “YOU’VE BEEN READING PORN IN PUBLIC THIS WHOLE TIME?!”
You stayed silent before letting out a quiet response, “Well.. yes?” It was silence between the two of you, tension so thick you could cut it with a knife. Before Penguin let out a hearty laugh, before finishing he wiped a tear from his eye,
“Look Y/n, whatever you read, we can do it together,”
There was no logical answer other then to take the book an skedaddle out of there, your face was on fire, about to melt off, you leaned against the wall near one of the cabins, trying to catch your breath, but the air just felt hot.
This is just the beginning.

As a Strawhat, you had at least come across the one-and-only love-cook on the ship that you— and many know as Sanji, who not only you, but many others had weird encounters with him; with those weird, non-amusing smirks.
“No pen, no paper, but you still draw my attention.”
“Are you socks? cause’ I think you and I could be a pair.”
“Are you lighting? Because you’re McQueen”
You found them useless and unnecessary- Sanji thinks he’s a magnet; he’s really not (note: poor sanji 😞) but you remember the couple times he’s taken this in a more wholesome way— without fawning over you; The Merry had docked at one of the recent islands your crew had went to,
“Cmon’ guys! Let’s hurry up on this island to see if we can find any meat!!!” Luffy exclaimed before dashing off into.. who knows where!
Nami let out an irritated sigh before following calmly in the direction your overly-energetic captain went off too.
A short silence followed between the crew members, before Robin spoke up with her usual tone, “I think it’s better if we all split up in duos to look for resources for the Merry.” She suggested, breaking the silence in the atmosphere with a relaxed tone.
“Right behind you, Robin.” Zoro agreed; his arms resting by his side, his gaze slightly alert before letting go of it.
“Alright then! Everyone split up into teams of two.” The reindeer chimed— “Hopefully Curly-Brow doesn’t chase any skirts while we’re doing this.” mocked the green-haired swordsman.
“Shut up, Moss-Head!” And there the banter came from, the two grown men acting like immature children
After a minute of their head-to-head verbal fight, nobody bothered and left the scene, you decided to stay but Zoro left the conversation; leaving you and Sanji.
You decided to walk away; going to do your current task before you felt a hand grasp your wrist, putting you at a halt.
“Look, Y/N— I was wondering if later on we could… go somewhere on the island, there’s some spots I saw some on the list that we could go too.”
A small silence grew between the two of you before you responded with a small smile, “Sure, why not?”
Sanji felt like he wanted to gush out already.
…
“Are you a loan? Cause’ you’ve got my intere—“
He was silence with a firm slap on his face.
