Ron Wintenberg - Tumblr Posts

A scrubby lighting practice piece I did for my character Ron. It looks better in a smaller zoom... I need to fix the coding on my blog so that it shows things in actual size instead of trying to blow them up artificially if they’re too small, but for now I’m just uploading the full size, even though it’s kinda meh compared to a properly sized one. Oh well. But anyways, enough about coding woes, I had a lot of fun with this piece, balancing skin tone, sunset backlighting and glowing eyes. I think a lot about Ron’s original description how his eyes shine like sun on snow (for context, Ron is part of an RP and was given to me to flesh out, so some of his details come from @a-random-cc), so I wanted to see how far I could push that (though it also makes me wonder if it affects his sight if the surface of his eyes glows...? idk, I’m probably overthinking fantasy elements again dskjgnh, but at least when his eyes glow fiercely I have him not able to see well, so there’s some realism, heh.)
