Hey fam, my name is Yadid, I’m 28yr. I made this account back in high school, I only made it because a classmate told me to. I never logged in since then, so basically I’m still new to tumblr. I have other social media, with similar username, like twitter (x), instagram, and TikTok where I post my art work. I try my best to post different artworks on each of my platforms. Since TikTok is going to be ban, I want to try using tumblr again. I’m a big Rise fan and I want to use this platform to make comics of my oc and rise characters. My oc(s) for Rise are Olivier Arcane and Hamato Frida. Olivier is Big Mama adopted daughter and is an oni/demon, that’s what everyone thinks. Frida is one of the turtles long lost sister and Big Mama’s assistant. Well in my version Frida is actually Olivier’s assistant. I’ll try to post the best I can since it will be hard with work, running a small business and other social platforms.

Olivier: *gasp* For crying out loud, what they have done to Lou Jitsu mural!

Big Mama: “Fuck Big Mama,” oh yes, everyone does. *giggling*

Olivier: Um, mum? I don’t think that’s what you think it says.

Olivier whispers to Big Mama’s ear

Big Mama: *gasping dramatically* Those cheeky little weasels!? Who do they think they are!? Do they not know who I am!?

Big Mama: I would have them cut down for writing that outrageous thing towards Big Mama!

Olivier: Don’t worry mum, I’ll have my assistant take care of this in a jiffy.

Olivier: Before we have this cleaned off, would you fancy for a photo with it, that way it shows it didn’t gutted us.

Big Mama: *giggling joyfully* That be lovely, my little hellfire.

Both Big Mama and Olivier have a British accent, I did the best to use some phrases and terms. Let me know if I use some of them wrong.

I had plan for Tang Shen to suffer the same fate like her previous iterations but I ended up loving the idea of her finally being a mother figure to the turtles. Even tho Shen is biological Miwa’s mother, she still love turtles like they are her own and they’ll love her like she’s their mother.

The same goes for Miwa, I don’t plan for to be mutated into a snake like her 2012 counterpart. Instead she’ll be in gymnastics to represent that and will be more sisterly to her younger siblings.

Also the marking on her mouth is a burn mark. One the day she and brothers were mutated and the lab was on fire. The flames burned part of her left side of her mouth and neck.

Artist note:

When I first heard that the Rise boy’s have two long lost sisters. My first thought was they were Venus and Jennika. I had thought about how they’ll be introduced in my version until a Q&A interview with the creator on Twitter. One of their sisters work for Big Mama and he suggested her name was going to be Frida or something like. He wanted to name them after female artist. And the other sister was going to be lost in other dimension. Because of this I rethought the boy’s sisters. Another reason to the change of sisters, which is lame and you might hate me for, I later didn’t know or really care for Venus and Jennika. Instead I replace them with an original character, Frida, and brought back their human sister, Miwa, who is also their half-sister.

Originally, Miwa was plan to be mutated as a turtle, obviously I scrapped it. She isn’t a long lost sister, she a bonus or a surprise sister. Splinter didn’t knew he has a daughter with his ex-wife, Tang Shen, until she randomly showed up in the lair saying she’s his daughter.

Originally, Venus de Magic, the statue that the boys saw in the Magic Town House. Was supposed to be Venus de Milo. She was going to have illusion nippo that allowed her to disguise and live among the human. But that was scrapped, however the illusion nippo was kept for Frida along wither her tessen. Frida is the assistant that works for Big Mama, well in my version she’s actually Big Mama’s adoptive daughter, Olivier, assistant.

Bishop made sure that Chr’ell (Olivier) is combat trained and programmed to learn her opponent moves. When she uses her flames, the way she uses it is similar to the firebender in Avatar The Last Airbender. Olivier’s hair burns when angered.

Mona Lisa is also combat trained as a defense by both Leatherhead and Olivier. Since Olivier, the crime lord’s daughter, will have a lot of enemies. She makes sure that her henchmen are well trained. Mona superpowers is transmutation similar to FMA. She can transmute with a circle. She’s also an alchemist and makes potions that could heal and boost their ability like in video games. Mona weapon is an axe.

Miwa is flexible because of gymnastics and has gone to competitions. One of her favorite is the ribbon dance. When she got her weapon it was a dart rope. Her nippo is spiritual power, her power is similar to shrine maiden ability. Eventually she’ll carry a talisman too.

Frida weapon is a tessen. Her moves are more ninja like than her siblings. She was Olivier’s assistant and was trained to be stealth. She often was use for intel of her enemies or request of yokai making a deal with Olivier. Frida nippo is illusion, when she starts using her power she was only about to disguise herself. Eventually her power got stronger and is able to change the scenery too. She also skill in mimicry.

I’m thinking to writing a short skit based on my favorite scene from “Too Wong Foo, Thank You for Everything! Julie Newmar.”

It’s going to be Olivier, Mona, Rebel (Frida) and the Mud Dogs.
