Run Test - Tumblr Posts
Oh wow, these 32 frames REALLY didn’t want to render properly. Gross.
So here she is, Glitch Dendy! She took a couple of hours to model, a little under an hour to color, and about the same to rig (I did very minor weight painting, it was close enough to begin with). Her mouth can open and close, and if I so choose, I can move her pupils by dragging their polygons around. She doesn’t have any IK rigging, because I never figured out how to properly do it. :p
I really wanted to emulate the glitch style from “We Got Hacked,” which is why it’s so low poly. Her polygons break because of it, especially in her elbows, but that’s okay because I feel that it can lend to the creep factor I want if I’m careful about it. For this run test, I was not at all careful, obviously, seeing as I slapped it together in 15 or 20 minutes. I just wanted to be sure she could move (she can), and I wanted to check that the render settings were satisfactory. I used a sketch material in the hopes that the shadows would line up with the polygons, but I probably still need to tweak it.
Being only a few hours-worth of work, it definitely isn’t the best I can do, but it suits my purposes just fine. All in all, I’m happy with it.
