Hello tumblr
My name is Sylvie. I don’t check tumblr very often so you may want to either message me on discord (syl.vie_) or email (sylvie@distin.org). I like art, particularly esoteric stuff like Cardiacs, PFFR, Paper Rad, Ryan Trecartin, Revenge of the Sunfish, Damon Packard, + Alexander Scriabin— but i like popular stuff like Bach, Seinfeld, Napoleon Dynamite, Duke Ellington, Earthbound, Ace Attorney, Clueless, and Crazy Taxi too. I love learning about the history and nature of art and have taken a music theory course :>
I love books and comics too, especially a lot of the more absurd & ‘alternative’ stuff. My favorite books are Waiting for Godot, The Idiot, Today I Wrote Nothing, Les Chants de Maldoror, + Naked Lunch. For comics i like angry youth comix, the far side, moomin, dogisaga, & b. kliban
As for stuff i actually do, i play alto sax, piano, + guitar. i record and compose a bit too but nothing i’ve made has been worth sharing yet. recently i got into cooking, both for fun and health— though i make a lot of cakes which aren’t very healthy :p
