I talked about this again while chatting with a friend of mine on Discord, and thinking back I can't help but find it both hilarious and at the same time very sad.

For the hilarious side, I can only laugh at the humor of the situation at the time it happened. Because after spending an entire month being harassed and mocked by the Kmhn/Kmkm shipdom towards Komanami, Komamiki and the Yumeshippers, after this so-called "confirmation" of Komaeda's homosexuality from Kodaka, let's not hide it, for my part this little return of karma did me a lot of good.

Just imagine being so sure of yourself that you go and harass other communities, who because of their status in the fandom just want to have peace, and then when you're waiting for your ship to be confirmed (I might be wrong, but hey, asking which boy Nagito would want to date with a Hajime's pfp, I think that says it all) by stating in your question that Komaeda won't date females, Kodaka ruins your hope by answers you like: "Wait...what do you mean he won't date females?"

Anyway, it was funny. (Although strangely, this post did not make as much noise as the "confirmation".

Now the sad part of this story is realizing how nobody gives a damn about Nagito's character outside of his sexuality. It's like that's all that's interesting about him.

So, I can only doubt the fandom's "love" (with big quotes) towards Komaeda, because caring only about his sexuality while making ultra-stereotypical jokes about it in passing, that's not love. They like the fantasm, the appropriation of the character they made of him, but not the real character.

(Why can I heard in the distance the annoying fans yelling at me with: “Oh come on! We're not allowed to have fun anymore or what?! 🙄 Blah, blah, blah…”)

I find it such a shame that very few people want to know more about him. He loves books and horror movies, yet few people care to know what his favorite book and movie is, the number of buildings he blew up, etc…or even more details about his backstory.

Like, am I the only one who has wondered why he isolates himself from others is not only due to his self-esteem and unpredictable luck, but also a lack of trust in others? Komaeda was left an orphan with millions at a very young age, I can't believe no adult ever tried to manipulate him by taking advantage of his young age and trauma to try to steal his fortune.

In his last FTE, he implies that when he tried to talk about his misfortunes to other people, they told him to shut up. Who were these people? Adults in his childhood? (Maybe that's why he became the Servant in UDG. He sympathizes with the Warriors of Hope because he himself was a child abused and neglected by adults in his childhood) Teachers? Former classmates? So many questions!

But no, that doesn't interest the fandom apparently. The fandom prefers to continue fighting to know if he is gay or bi.

Even he's getting tired of this fandom, lmao.
