Words that were said to me in the past few months.
I don’t know for sure about those statements… but I want to know.
I swear I see beyond the walls of her coping mechanisms and see the reality of her.
Sure, she’s young and wanting to have fun, but I feel like I saw something else that’s real in her. Maybe that’s the problem?
I feel like I could love someone like her.
She’s probably hiding something. A void she hasn’t committed to knowing what to fill it with.
The thing is that I know that sex ain’t the final destination.
Love is.
I guess the real question is:
Are we both on that level and would others want to see it work out?
It kind of doesn’t matter.
Love isn’t to prove other people wrong. It does that as a side effect, but that’s not why it exists.
Love will be love, if it is real love, independent of outside influence.
I am being offered new work opportunities quite a drive away. If I am willing to travel for that, I am willing to travel to see her for new comfort if she wanted.
That is my new comfort level. WIll we meet in that new comfort level?
