Shuggy au where in a parallel universe where Shanks didn't soot down Buggy's invitation to join his crew one day and Buggy didn't refuse him either. Instead they both became captains to the same ship and sailed away. They become a force to be reckoned with and one of the most feared duo. Shanks always had Buggy's back and Buggy always kept Shanks more or less in line.
Then one day something happens during a storm, or something idk, and they find themselves in a white void. Together technically, but really far apart. And then the og timeline them meet themselves.
All hell breaks loose with the two Buggy's. They are loud and arguing. The og Buggy probably thinks the co-captain Buggy is a wuss and a codependent coward. And co-captain Buggy is so angry at og him is self-sabotaging.
Co-captain Buggy starts looking for his Shanks because he's mature enough to let the beef he has with his alternative go. Og Buggy follows only because he does want to be left alone.
Meanwhile the Shanks's find see each other and co-captain Shanks is telling all about him and Buggy's adventures and how their relationship. Og Shanks is speechless. All he could do was listen to everything he could have had and never did.
Finally co-captsins Buggy and Shanks find eachother and leap into each other's arms. They're so happy and excited to find each other that they don't even pay attention to the other them.
Original timeline Shanks and Buggy watched them interact. Now they were both just watching...

shanks and buggy are bitter exes and mihawk is part of the debacle too but he's too unbothered so he just floats between the two rolling his eyes at them when they spend the whole booty call cursing the other (buggy) or complaining about the other cursing them (shanks)
zoro and sanji are (fake ass) enemies/rivals to lovers who act like little kids with their first crush they literally have no clue how to approach
helmeppo and koby are seemingly unrequited love with helmeppo thinking koby doesn't reciprocate because he likes luffy while koby has realized his feelings for luffy are platonic and just doesn't think helmeppo likes him that way or maybe even goes as far as thinking he's crushing on zoro
and i am obsessed with all of them
