I originally started listening to Sherlock & Co for the plot and everything but do you guys understand how healing it is to hear a really healthy relationship between a canonically autistic guy and a neurotypical guy where they both just… accommodate eachother. Neither is played for laughs, both work really really hard to understand the other it’s just. Perfect. Yeah man I’ll give you a hug to help you ground yourself, yeah I’ll try and make jokes around you to show you I’m working hard to understand you, “You bring your ear defenders?”. FUCK man, I’m so used to seeing these kind of relationships get written so poorly and I end up feeling so let down, yet here I am grinning in public whilst I listen to these guys oml

y'know i genuinely think the reason that sherlock and co. doesn't make me feel queerbaited like bbc sherlock did is because in bbc sherlock john and sherlock are always like eight feet away from each other like they're a regency couple who can't come any closer to each other lest they collapse into each other's arms and ruin their reputations and then literally three episodes into sherlock and co. john's giving sherlock a hug that you can just hear is tight and warm and longer than 2 seconds anD SOMEHOW IT'S LESS GAY
if sherlock holmes and john watson were in the modern era watson would have holmes saved on his phone as "sherlock <3" or some shi meanwhile holmes would have watson saved on his phone as "Dr. John H. Watson"

i started listening to sherlock and co recently (today) and i didnt think i would like it, but i absolutely do!! i cannot tell you how absurdly happy it makes me to have an explicitly neurodivergent, specifically autistic, version of sherlock holmes. the bbc sherlock obsessed 12 yr old inside of me is going FERAL right now 🤩🤩
