Where the Six Eared Macaque doesn't exist, in this AU, He's THE Greatest Showman: Liu'er Mihou. Director, Actor, Writer, Singer, Dancer and everything you'd ever imagine to entertain you, this man can do it. And Wukong loves it, even if his brothers don't.

Showman Macaque Suggestion: Wukong goes to literately every performance Macaque is a part of no matter how big or small the show or his part in it is. It’s gotten to the point where Macaque can’t tell if he should take it as a compliment or if he should be worried about a stalker. Probably a bit of both.

Ok, so' Macaque and Wukong already knew each other, this AU is between the journey and the series.

The brotherhood didn't like macaque like at all; here the main difference bwt Showman!Macaque and Canon!Macaque is that S!Macaque didn't take anyone's shit and left when he got tired of the shitty treatment.

Wukong didn't liked and he certainly didn't listen the reasoning (Let's remember he was like an overpowered immature teen at this point) and they both started a dispute, Macaque told Wukong that he still loved him (not before telling all the generals their truths) and left promising that he would go back to check on his mate.

Few years pass, and macaque kept his promise. He went to Wukong only to find the Flower Fruit Mountain in ruins and several monkies desperate. He wondered where was Wukong.

With your showman macaque au I can imagine wukong taking the jttw gang to one of macaques shows to show his friends his mate amazing performance

Here we go! I don't know if you remember Aladdin's song "Friend Like Me" where the genie sings an ultra charismatic song that basically says 'hey man, tell whatever you want i i'll make it happen' so in one point in the middle of the function Macaque grabs Tripitaka and puts him in Aladdin's place.

Then , at the end of the song, he proceeds to ask Tripitaka his name and what does he wish for. Tripitaka not being a very "public person" says his name and ask for something simple, a lamp.

But ohhhhhhh, did he forgot how Liu'er Mihou was? Apparently yes. Mihou takes his role as the genie very seriously, not only he granted Tripitaka's wish he also gave him an ultra rare magical type of lamp, a shadow lamp.

The play ends, applauses begin and Tripitaka gets down the scenery with the lamp, not knowing what it was capable of. Wukong finds this funny as hell.

What are rumble and savage role in your au are they clones that macaque uses as his backup performer's and stagehands, or are they used for promoting his shows or something else entirely different

Finally someone ask! Rumble and Savage are macaques/monkeys originally from what we know as Pakistan, hundreds of years ago Macaque found them as very sick babies inside a basket after leaving Flower Fruit Mountain.

He gave them part of his own magic to make sure they survived, as a consequence their nucleo revived as a demon nucleo (I'm talking about magic if you didn't understand), this gave them half of Liu'er 's magic.

Liu'er has been taking care of them since then, they call him father wich Macaque loves 'cause now he can use "BITCH IM A MOTHER" as an excuse every time someone reproches him, as they got older they started to get interest in musicals, comedies to be more specific (They LOVE Beetlejuice).

Rumble loves to make soundtracks and Savage adores the idea of choreograph dances that resemble modern hip-hop, thy both would make something like this

Macaque lets the do the music and choreographs of the plays, basically they both work as directors in their apartments.

What was wukong reaction to finding out that macaque is a father to two young demon monkeys and what are his thoughts of them does he like them or is he neutral with them

He doesn't find out like...ever.

He knows them, but he doesn't know they are Macaque's children, for some reason it hadn't cross his mind...even if the twins refer to macaque as Father, he's maybe dumb?? or maybe he thinks they're Macaque's wards, Idk if he will ever find out.

Wukong's as dense as a rock after all...

Well Wukong did basically adopt all the baby monkeys on ffm. Maybe he thinks it’s the same as that?

I don't think the twins would be comfortable asking the man who abandoned and betrayed their father that question, tho.

They would be very overprotective and jealous children, like giving Wukong and every other potential mate a stinky eye tipe of overprotective.

But yeah, i think Wukong would confuse Macaque's situation with his own 'adoption' situation.

In china being a teacher pays incredible well...And as we know being an artist is difficult without having a part time job, soooo Macaque Liu’ er Mihou is working as a part time theatre teacher and as Tang’s assistant...

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I found your Showman AU and I really liked it and then I saw that Tang and Macaque were going to be FRIENDS (besties?!?!?) in it and I feel in love because we need more things with the two of them being a duo they're so funny together it's a crime there isn't more so I love that you have it, okay bye!

The reason I decided to make Macaque and Tang a duo of workplace besties was cause i wanted to explore the 'Intellectual' part of Tang more seriously, I've noticed how many people don't recognize him as a High level university teacher and treated him like a joke or someone naive and kinda stupid... I mean, no??? Sorry, HE'S A TEACHER-

also because Macaque has too much unsolved angst and not many healthy coping mechanism. Soooo yeh, SOMEONE had to do it

The first meeting in years, It was not very nice one.

Wukong feels betrayed, he was being kept as a dangerous animal while Macaque the love of his life was having the best time ever far away from him. And... He never saw him this happy in a long, long time...He couldn’t remember last time he saw Macaque having so much energy, Was it his fault? Did Macaque never felt happy around him? Was he really that unhappy in the mountain?

Meanwhile, Liu’er feels conflicted. He hasn’t heard anything about Wukong for YEARS, after the fight he tough Wukong would never want to speak to him again, and even when he came back to the mountain only to find it in ruins, the only thought in his mind was: Is Wukong okay? Where is he? Will he come back?

And now he is back, and Liu’er can only feel the trapeze slipping from his grasp  while trying to find the words, to say something, anything to him- 

then a scream... and everything went black

I believe someone ask me to do this specific scene of the movie but i don’t remember who, anyway HERE is the speedpaint 

What happened to both macaque and wukong after the trapeze accident? Did they talk to each other and explain to each other what happened after all the years they hadn't seen each other or did they have a big fight like in the canon series

They could have talked a little bit, and they would have explained things...Maybe everything would be perfect, and they could even start a new relationship, or get married. Maybe DBK's accident would have never happened...

Perhaps they both would be happy

but that wouldn't be so fun, would it?

No matter the universe Macaques seem to not grasp the concept of survival. Can’t wait to see whatever disturbingly messed up way he gets brought back this time! ( if he’s not dead I suspect permanent damage if he’s please bring him back lol there’s more angst to be had. *probably still with permanent damage )

How shameless was macaque when he young and when he was around the brotherhood

In his Youth? He would curse in every sentence he spoke, drink like his life depended on it, and would dance "seductively" very often when drunk (leaving many people blue-balled, oops!) not only that, at the time his way of dressing was considered as a perversion.

Then he went from Japan to South Asia, where his alcohol consumption was getting stronger, which made him more and more shameless. He even went to the point of laying with strangers and not remembering their names the day after.

Bro was wild.

One day there was a party, a big royal one, there he met Wukong, though none of them knew who the other was, still, they danced and drank all night...

He kept this lifestyle until he meet Princess Iron Fan, who at that moment wasn't a celestial yet, they bounded and became sworn brothers and sisters. This abruptly interrupts his necessity to drink, so he accompanies her to North China. Once there they split and went their own ways.

Let's have a time skip, once in the Brotherhood Macaque was still a sharp-tongued man with a sarcastic sense of humor. He wasn't shy, he just didn't know what to talk about with his brothers, they talked about war and partnership, but Macaque was more of strategy and literature. The only one he could talk to was Wukong, but he started to ignore him more and more each day.

So shameless? A little bit. But he wasn't the mf he was before, that's for sure.

But all was for nothing, he couldn't remember the notes for his songs, neither the lyrics nor the lines of the plays, books went unfinished, and poems were destroyed. Memories went forgotten little by little, he didn't notice, no when he wondered where was he, and no when he asked who the other two macaques behind him were.

And Wukong?

He wasn't there. He escaped like a coward.

How would wukong and the brotherhood react if they ever found out about macaque past, and how would macaque feel about them finding out how he was when he was younger

Ok, Let's be clear on something, this is not an escenario I would consider "happen", it's more of an "What if..." thing. Sooo...

Peng's jaw would DROPE. The dude's always telling Macaque he's a rat and a coward, so he's basically saying he thinks Mac is chickenhearted and ugly. And then BOOM, some kind of artifact (I'm too lazy to think about anything else...) transforms him into this white-furred, shameless monkey??? ...

Surprisingly, Peng likes the nature of Young Macaque. It reminds him of his good old days. They would sass each other and talk shit about other people.

With yellow, he would be enchanted with Macaques experiences in the South Lands! He would be the most chill about the situation, talking about the traditional food and dances and jewelry. Macaque earn more of his respect and curiosity.

With DBK, the thing would be completely different. He hates this whole thing. He liked Macaque because he was quiet and misterios, like a loyal, confident you could talk to. But his younger self just makes him feel so uncomfortable, especially when he's trying to set him off with his so-called "sister."

"You are so her type," he would say.

Wukong would have momentarily panicked since he remembered the face of the man he slept with hundreds of years ago. And that man is right in front of him, so yeah, excuse his weirdness about the whole situation.

Azure Lion? His ego leads him to completely ignore Macaque and pretend nothing happen. He wants his brother's attention to continue with the brotherhood planning, but right now, the entire brotherhood is more interested in this Macaque thing. Besides, Azure never really liked Macaque, he sees him as someone clingy and needy who likes to hide his true intentions.
