Hey Everyone 👋

I'd anyone has noticed, on my post of my LMK OC Dajing, I have added new pieces of information, and if anyone's curious about what it means.

I have considered wanting to write a story about Dajing and if she was in the LMK universe.

I was so happy when I saw people making fanart, and I wanted to do something that would engage with everybody like other bloggers on Tumblr have done.

And I love drawing. Don't get me wrong. But with outside life and responsibilities and knowing how time-consuming it will become if I ended up drawing a comic, I know I will scrap the series after the first panel.

I recently got AO3 and saw a lot of other LMK fans writing their stories on the platform. So that's where I will be posting the chapters if you would like to find it.

As last minute as the title - my story is FINALLY HERE!!! You can access it either as a registered user or guest user.

I would provide a description about what's this is about, but I don't wanna spoil the book, so here's a summary:

"MK the Monkie Kid and his friends, alongside other allies such as Sun Wukong, will continue their adventure against their usual foes and facing the same struggles; but with the aid of a new ally - a wild card who may or may not have more influence on their story than initially thought. But she can't possibly have any connections to the events of what is happening to our heroes... right?"

I had this idea for some time now, and I finally had enough energy to make it, and I believe that if Pigsy and Tang meet MK father earlier, the story would be a lot shorter. I think, well, less talking more reading!!

Monkie Kid! Familiar tales, new adventures!

You can tell this show has a strong grip on me and believe me when I said I learned to draw because of it (I suck berry much tahnk you as some characters’ expression and looks are references from different episodes). Speedrun this the moment the news about season 5 drops—

Not a single day did I not think about angsty monkes and all the possible drama for the upcoming season. And I blame my friend for challenging me to draw the rest of the monkie kid crew + supporting casts. Anyways I had fun drawing it for about a month, doing it during free time. And pls ignore the blown out proportions of the characters XD.

SPOILERS FOR LMK SEASON 4

So we all agree that the whole Azure Lion and Sun Wukong escapade is like super suspicious right?? Like not only does turning on his friends (and killing macaque for that matter) feel out of character for him, but right before he does all these things he’s seen being put under the jade emperor’s control??

Like look, in this scene where Sun Wukong was cemented as the true villain in Azure Lion’s eyes for destroying the paradise he had made what are him and his companions shown to have on their heads? The fucking celestial realm crowns

And I haven’t read the original source material for this show (the journey to the west) so I don’t know wether the point I’m making here is clarified in it and if I look really dumb rn but either way…

And to like add on top of everything else I’ve said here it’s super weird how shadow or ink (not sure what the terminology is yet) Wukong was teasing him.

Feels oddly specific for a curse that’s entire gimmick is to get in your head to choose to taunt Sun Wukong with the very same crown while talking about not being able to fight against your destiny and what you’re chosen to become.. It just all feels very suspicious and I am super excited for S5!!!

Edit: check the notes for some extra info I’ve been given since making the post!! It’s very interesting and gives more info about how the novels explain the crowns! Thank u so much for everyone who added onto my analysis!

and what if s6 is the season where things are normal again? what does he do then? MK gets his more episodic kind of villains back, the occasional random encounters with those twins--Jim and Ben? Metal and Tin? does he care?--and compared to what he's fought before it's almost amusing. it's almost boring. he can almost ignore the static under his skin telling him that something is coming, something must be coming, it's a hoax, a false sense of security and he will not let himself fall for it.

what if never comes? what if MK has new hoodlums to fight, people with powers who decided not to use them for good the way he had, and that's it? what if everything is changed and finds its own new rhythym? what if there's a new normal? what if the world he'd fought to keep from being reset is so changed that he doesn't even recognize it anyway? what if the world is moving faster than he is, accepting this new normal? a Normal where mischievous children turn invisible and that taxi driver just picked up his own cab?

he is so tired and anxiety ridden and desperate for some normalcy, but Pigsy has considered making the shop a more family-oriented sit down restaurant to connect with the community, and Tang heeded the teachings of Master Subhodi and cracked down on his studies, and Mei has been inspired to connect with her family and anscestors a little better, and-

MK knows he's being unreasonable. his friends finally have a break from all the disasters, and they want to enjoy it. MK wants to enjoy it, but he's not doing his deliveries as often, and Tang rarely has time to tell stories anymore, and Mei has canceled their designated arcade time to attend galas with her parents twice now, and-

it's not fair of him to be upset. but it also isn't fair that he can't get back what he had. he is back to protecting his city, he has the relative safety of his friends, he can go train with Monkey King whenever he likes, and it's not enough--or maybe it's too much, he can never be sure.

he only knows for sure that he's finally gotten what he wanted, and it's all so hollow and empty; it makes him wonder if there was a part of him that died in the Pillar and never truly came back.
