On your fifth date, you and your date would ride the bus together. It is no surprise that you both have expressed romantic feelings for each other, but no action has been taken. Your closest contact was when he allowed you to wrap your arms around his/hers.

Your heart began thumping with fear as you saw how his/her hands, which sat on his/her lap, clenched around the fabric of his/her pants and you directly regret going through with the idea.
It's awkward— extremely awkward. Initially, s/he doesn't do or say anything, which makes you cringe on the inside.
His/Her arm moves suddenly and at the sensation of rejection, you feel your stomach drop. However, s/he rests his/her arm on the edge of the seat before allowing it to fall into a hollow between the cushioned seat and your back before wrapping his/her arm around your waist.
You allowed yourself to breathe.
His/Her arm tightly encircles you as you scoot closer to his/her chest. Despite the lack of words exchanged during this moment, you could hear his/her heartbeat rap rapidly on his/her ribs as if desperate to escape, and how your own skips one-too-many beats.
