Okay so, I find their rescues comparisons so funny? When sonic goes to save shadow, he goes to grab his entire body, be able to hold him close and safe, uses this as an excuse to touch the chest fluff. Holds him like a princess after even and has him as comfortable as he can hold him. Very gentle until he drops him later when safe ofc.
WHEN SHADOW GOES TO SAVE SONIC THOUGH?? Dude held him by the ass and throws him over/onto his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and calls it a day. Probably didn't hold Sonic princess style like Sonic did for him because he knows sonic would be making so many more comments about it and may take the opportunity to touch his fluff.
The protect the fluff maneuvers because he could already tell after he came back to consciousness that sonic totally messed with it, didn't want to risk it.
And Sonic is completely fine and happy with this and drops the "I heart you too" line, all casual. He's just so giddy abt the entire situation , including the rescue. Goofy
