My unpopular opinion is that the Sonic CD/Sonic OVA sonic is the coolest he ever looked. Its a lot better than the modern take on classic sonic where he's kind of stubby and rounded and looks more like the sonic 1 sprite The sonic r model is one of the only times they really tried to put it in 3d and I love it in all it's low-poly glory
