Spartathesheltie - Tumblr Posts
Haha! Glad it’s mutual (the stalking!), I’ve been watching you and Zelda’s posts for a while now on tumblr, and sometimes I see when you post on facebook’s sheltie-group! I was always thinking of getting a blue merle, but then Farris with his odd-eyes showed up and I was sold! Never regretted it one moment. (Now I even have two Shelties). Love how detailed you’ve done Sparta’s pedigree, with pictures and everything! It’s very interesting to look at the ancestors of all the different dogs. Usually you bump into relatives in all sorts of places!

Ohhh, okey I would have loved to check but dogweb is not working here right no What about Zelda’s grandfather then ? Shelteam Moonboy Dancer - Erick ? Isn’t La-min-so collaborate a little bit with her ?
They do collaborate, but I don’t see much between Sparta and Eric. Hillacre High On Style is both her great-great-grandfather and his great grandfather, but I think that’s the closest.
Oh wow I should also do this!!! That will be the best lid ever! Are you making one for the 100gr can or the 200gr can?
This is happening. She’s getting her own leverpostei lid.
Whoa! That's pretty cool!!! Sounds like a cool job... But I would probably end up making too many of my own, haha. I'm a true Sunnmøring (bet you know what people say about us!) so I usually get the big boxes, but I do have two dogs! And they do love leverpostei, but I've never thought so much about the amount of salt in it :( Eek...

Hmm, they need to credit you in order for it to be in order by the license as far as I get it? They are also supposed to submit their work to the same license if they use it as well?
@fuckyeahsheltie shakes is that you?
Can they have those bones?? I've never dared to give mine that, I just let them gnaw on the bones left from a leg where I sliced the meat off for dinner... I get so worried they'll hurt themselves...
Fårikål season is a gift to lazy dog owners. Frozen, conveniently sized pre-sliced, not-too-expensive Norwegian-raised lamb meat with bone, COUNT ME IN!
Yes, that, and the fact that there’s bones; I find it a bit hard to tell which bones are weight-bearing and not? Because leg-bones are weight-bearing? I feed my dogs vom og hundemat active, and all raw meat (not turkey since the skin is supposedly toxic too?) when I make dinner, I cut of some of the things that I hate myself to eat, haha. So they’re pretty used to raw meat and stuff like that, but I haven’t really dared to give any bones... Which is annoying at the same time since it’s great for them to work on and a great way for them to get their teeth “cleaned” naturally... I guess I’m the dog-version of the over-worried parent that makes everything not-fun because I’m worried they’ll get hurt... (Do you have any experience with feeding Sparta bits from deer? I know some deer-hunters, and when they gut the animals, there’s alot of leftovers? I also know some people who slaughter their own sheep, and my aunt works/used to work at the butcher’s around here! Any good tips on what’s the best stuff and the not-so-good stuff?)

Ohhhh my god she is so adorable! (Farris was almost 4 months when I got him, and Shadow 2 years, so I've never had a fluffpotato!)
Do you guys use the manual point focus on your cameras or do you let the camera set the focuspoint itself? If the problem is that the camera is picking the wrong focuspoint (like the nose!), you can tell your camera that you want to use a specific point out of your focuspoints, that might help you! Feeling your feels on the exposure-problematics though (horay for black and white dogs!), do you shoot in raw or .jpg file formats? My main problem is my dogs running so fast my lens cannot focus fast enough.
PS: Both of you post amazing photos!
The problem with photographing Zelda is that her blaze and mane always gets overexposed and her nose is always in focus. It never goes, and I’m on the verge of giving up now….
I think this speaks for itself...

Oh my god that picture in the middle HAHHAHHH This is so NOT helping on the puppy fever here though!
Warding off the puppy fever by reminding myself of how incredibly not cute they are
Wow!!! Glad you saw her, this is one of my biggest fears :( (dogs eating something poisonous in general like out on a walk or something even if I try to watch them like a hawk). I really hope both you and Sparta are okay!
Sparta decided to demonstrate her terrible judgement by eating between 1 and 3g of rat poison tonight. Luckily caught her in the act and called the emergency vet. He couldn’t get to us, but told me how to induce vomiting, so she puked it all up (along with everything else she’s had today) less than 30mins after it went down. I’ll be calling back in the morning to bring her in for vitamin K treatment. I hate life.
Horay! Congrats, have fun both of you! And do snap some awesome pictures to share with us! :)
Sparta’s quarantine is over!! It’s also snowing again tonight, so we’re going out to see how fast she can run after a whole week cooped up inside! :D
@spartathesheltie Aaah I love when they do this!!! It is so cute! And Sparta is so cute! (Haha, it looks like her sheep-plush is eternally crying on one eye)
it is very important that we all take the time to nibble on our friends
