I know you went to bed but I just had two ideas for Rick's dad in the field trip idea:
After getting tired of the kids being rowdy on the bus he slams the break and tells them he won't drive until they calm down. One of them says "You could get fired!" and he just replies "I would love that."
He took a smoke break while Howler was showing the kids around the farm. When they come back he flicks the cigarette into a bush and it lights on fire in the background as the kids are getting on
An addendum to idea 2 is that this somehow causes a chain reaction that ends in the whole farm being set ablaze
All of this is correct and canon to Spookier Month now.
Carmen is the one who yells at Mr. Hedony, because she had a had start in learning how to boss people around
I'll just add this: When the kids get off the bus, he pulls out a pack, by the time they leave, there's a small plie of empty packs next to him.

I had the thought of when Frank falls after getting sprayed with Banshee gunk, the crown gets knocked off his head and hits the ground so hard it splits in half
Or: Frank broke his crown

I thought of this last night but forgot to say it so I'll just type it now before I forget again:
I had a little idea for a SM-style thumbnail for Echoed Shrieks: the Tree Banshee is in the background front and center, and there are tall trees at her sides behind the kids
Jaune is on the far left aiming at something with her slingshot, John is far right nervously looking at something off camera, and Frank is center with Lila and Shawn next to him, all three looking at a filled candy bucket Frank is holding. Lila and Shawn are surprised/in awe while Frank is smugly satisfied
I can see it really vividly!
You did a great job of capturing the SM thumbnail vibe!
Maybe we could commission it to promote ES.
Had a. VERY weird dream but Frank and Lila were in it (I blame you /lh) but the idea behind it was v cool so I'm gonna share it before I forget:
Lila and Frank are trapped in a loop and the only way out is being honest with each other about what happened the night of ES
It takes them a bit to realize THAT'S what's keeping them there, but even then it takes Frank a bit to admit 1: he had (and still has) a big crush on Lila, and 2: he's sorry and didn't mean what he said
In the dream on the latter, Lila realized Frank wasn't being completely honest so she intentionally put herself into danger to get him to cough up the rest

I'd love to explore this more. I'm actually really surprised I haven't seen any loop fics for SM yet.
