Can we talk about the way the knights being pretty much the only medieval thing in Nimona is such a good visual metaphor for the way their bigotry is literally holding them in the past?

like everything else is futuristic (clothes being the only other exception) their hatred of monsters is literally visually outdated compared to everything else in the film also both times we see Bal and Ambrosius out of armour is when theyre being progressive ie just before bal (a commonor) is about to be knighted and at the end of the film where they fully accept Nimona and open the walls their armour is a metaphor for the institutes bigotry nimona nimona film srsly go watch it if you havent yet slightlyslothspeaks nimona movie

I need to find this movie it was the only thing I’d watch when I was 10; still listen to the music sometimes; I want to watch it... where’S MY VHS PLAYER??!!

Rewatched “Sprit: Stallion of the Cimarron” for the hundredth time and, like, why don’t people talk about this movie more??? Like it came out only a year after Shrek and that movie has a shit ton of sequels and yet no one ever talks about Spirit??? Like, 

(1) It doesn’t glorify or romanticize colonialism. It is some real-ass shit.

(2) It has amazing art.

(3) The main human character is Native American.

(4) It doesn’t stereotype or generalize or dehumanize Native Americans.

(5) It’s about horses!!!!

If you haven’t seen or even heard of this movie, drop everything right the fuck now and go watch. NOW. GO. GO. GO. It’s just an all-around good movie that will give you so many feels.
