i will never forgive this fandom for all they have done to beth..you guys were all for girl wrongs with heather and courtney but when beth shows up with hers yall kick her to the dirt..most of the time exclusively because she's "ugly" (which, fuck you. a girl having braces and being slightly chubby is nowhere near "ugly" she's beautiful to me)

i understand if you think she's annoying because, shocker, she's written to be a clingy, weird and socially awkward girl and that's not everyone's cup of tea. that's totally okay. i just get upset sometimes cuz a lot of the traits she exhibits and is portrayed with resonate with me as someone with autism, and seeing people make fun of her for it instead of simply just disliking her and moving on reminds me of how people would do the same with me.. 🤑

all im saying is that this fandom has a huge "pretty privilege" problem. if beth looked like heather or courtney, id bet she'd be an incredibly popular character and have tons of stans. but no. she's a weird, chubby and cute socially awkward girl with tons of girl rights and girl wrongs like the others, and yet she's drilled in as an annoying fly and is constantly just made to be the hyperactive justin fangirl. yes she's weird about justin, and yes that is strange and im not going to deny that part of her character, but it's not ONLY her character. she's a happy pig owner, she likes to sing, she wants to be a star, she's giddy about boys but also is shown to appreciate pretty girls as well, she's really into friendship, she'd be a wolf girl on the playground, she's my favorite no matter what anyone else says or tries to tell me.
