The True Skystar
An AU surrounding Starflower overthrowing Clearsky before he could receive his nine lives; becoming the first leader of Skyclan instead of Clearsky.
Starflower grew up with her father in the ancient forest territories. She lived in a very small group amongst the trees. Her father, One-Eye, was tough and volatile. The only cat he was ever kind to was his own daughter. He was often very intimidating and aggressive towards the other group members. Starflower would chastise him for being so unkind to the other members. Nevertheless, One-Eye was her idol. He taught her everything he knew. He taught her about worshipping the sky and how to build proper shelter amongst the canopy of the trees. When Clearsky and his group arrived, they chased out One-Eye and his group. This infuriated One-Eye and the swore to take back every last inch of his territory from those mountain cats, even if it meant killing them to do so. He devised a plan where he would befriend the mountain cats onto his side and then overthrow Clearsky. Starflower went along with this plan until she met Thunder, whom she fell in love with. When One-Eye’s plan ultimately succeeds and he imprisons Clearsky, she begins to see how vindictive and hateful her father has become. Starflower makes the difficult decision to betray her father and tell Thunder of her father’s plans. Thunder and his group manages to free Clearsky and Clearsky kills One-Eye. This greatly devastated Starflower. Clearsky, finding the very young cat attractive, decides to forgive her and let her stay in his camp. She reluctantly agrees, wanting to stay in the territory to remember her father by. She visits Thunder often and their relationship grows stronger every day. While in Clearsky’s camp, he begins to make several advances onto her which makes her severely uncomfortable. She decides to keep it to herself, not wanting to anger Thunder. Starflower begins to witness more and more of Clearsky’s cruelty and treasonous behavior. Threatening his group members, forcefully establishing borders; causing tension and petty battles amongst the other groups, and banishing those who disagree with him. Starflower decides that enough is enough. She devises a plan to overthrow Clearsky when the right time arrives. She reluctantly starts accepting his creepy advances. Clearsky eventually falls head over heels for her. She later tells Thunder about her plan, attempting to explain herself after Clearsky announces that Starflower is his new mate at a gathering. Thunder accepts her apology and believes her when she swears she is NOT in love with his father. Thunder genuinely feels guilty seeing how uncomfortable Starflower is by his father’s advances. Starflower eventually changes her name to Skyflower to better convince Clearsky of her “loyalty” to him. Clearsky absolutely loves this (being the narcissist he is…). Eventually “she has four kits” with Clearsky which are secretly Thunder’s. They both devised a plan in order for Skyflower to avoid baring any of Clearsky’s kits. Clearsky has no idea that Thunder and her are together and he believes fully that those are his kits (even though they are not). Graywing becomes very suspicious as to why Thunder isn’t bothered by the fact that Clearsky “had kits with the cat he once loved”. Thunder sends up telling him the whole truth and begs Graywing not to say anything, Graywing agrees to keep Thunder’s secret.
Skyflower despises Clearsky every day as he continues down his path of darkness. He continues to uphold his borders which causes mass tension between all of the other groups. They eventually begin to establish their own borders much to Skyflower and Thunder’s protest. Any time Clearsky does something cruel, he excuses his actions by saying that it is the will of Starclan, and if they wanted him to stop, they would have told him to. She does believe in Starclan as she has seen them with her own eyes, but she grows more and more resentful of them for being complacent in Clearsky’s cruelty. Skyflower misses Thunder greatly, not being able to visit him as often due to her taking care of their kits and Clearsky forcing her to stay in camp because of them. She does her best to avoid Clearsky as much as possible; spending time with the elders or other kits. She tells stories to the kits in the nursery about her kithood in the forest along with tales that her father once told her. This irritates Clearsky immensely. When Skyflower politely suggests anything involving how her old group used to live in the forest, Clearsky shuts her down immediately; not wanting anyone to question his leadership or take anything from One-Eye’s leadership, even if it was culturally how her group did things. This causes tension in their “relationship”. Since Skyflower and her father were the discoverers of “The Blazing Star”, Mothflight was the only one who was interested in her father’s healing techniques. Mothflight learned many healing tips from Skyflower. She was so happy to share all of the things her father taught her. Much to Clearsky’s disdain. She became close friends with Micah and Acornfur, often spending time with them, which made Clearsky very jealous and possessive over her. After Micah’s death, she comforted Mothflight through the majority of her depression. (In this AU, Mothflight stays in Clearsky’s camp instead of Tall Shadow’s camp). Acornfur becomes very fascinated in Skyflower’s beliefs that she inherited from One-Eye. Acornfur and Skyflower even built a den in the canopy in the trees to prove to Clearsky that it works and that it’s very efficient. This got the other group members interested as well. Clearsky shut this down immediately. He began to insult Skyflower’s traditions she once shared. A massive fight broke out which resulted in Skyflower taking her kits and leaving Clearsky’s camp. She heads to Thunder’s camp. Thunder was thrilled to finally meet his kits. She loved being able to spend time in Thunder’s camp and being close to him again. But she felt a deep tug in her heart for her home territory. One day, Acornfur rushes into Thunder’s camp, having escaped Clearsky’s wrath. She tells Skyflower that Mothflight has discovered the moonstone and that it has the ability to give the leaders of their designated groups nine lives. Acornfur urges that Clearsky cannot receive these lives as he will have the power to terrorize the groups for seasons to come. It was finally time for Skyflower to enact her plan.
After a painful goodbye, Skyflower goes after Clearsky and confronts him at the moonstone. Clearsky, underestimating her strength, becomes gravely injured and flees. Starclan, witnessing this, is outraged by her actions. She prepares a speech for them to grant her the nine lives instead, since she was raised amongst this forest first and would do anything she could to protect her and the land she was born on. The Starclan cats that were moved by her words (or were wronged by Clearsky) granted her nine lives. She has officially become Skystar.
While Starclan is not in her favor, she is comforted by the fact that she has some of them on her side.
Skystar has proved herself to be a kind and strong leader. She begins to teach her clan all of the traditions passed down to her by her father. They begin to make camp in the canopies of the trees instead of on the ground. The cats who were once a part of One-Eye’s group are touched by her choices. She makes Acornfur her medicine cat.
She tells the truth to her kits about who their father is. Two of her kits decide to join Thunderclan and the other two decide to stay in Skyclan. Thunderstar and Skystar are still extremely close, he has no hard feelings against her for having to exile his father. Thunderclan and Skyclan become strong allies.
When Mothflight declares that medicine cats cannot have mates or kits, Skystar completely disagrees with her and talks her out of that opinion; telling her that her grief is overriding her judgement, Mothflight vehemently disagrees and continues to declare this law. Unfortunately, Starclan likes the idea and decides to enforce it much to Skyflower’s opposition. She allows Acornfur to be mates with Redclaw; going against Starclan’s will. Acornfur proves to be a shining example that medicine cats can be mates and have kits without it getting in the way of her duties to the clan.
Throughout her life, Skystar continues to clash with Starclan. When she’s down to her last life, Clearsky returns to “take back what was once his” with Starclan’s help. Out of anger, Skystar revealed the truth about their “relationship” and how she never loved him and that his kits were actually Thunder’s. Her words flew Clearsky into a blind rage; killing her. She does not ascend to Starclan, she seemingly disappears as a ghost. Clearsky claims his nine live and returns to Skyclan as the only “Skystar”. He forces everyone to forget the other Skystar’s leadership. He eventually gets everyone to believe (or at least not protest him) that everything Skystar I established (the things he cherry-picked from her traditions) were his ideas. And that he was always meant to be the real leader of Skyclan. The clan is forced into believing only Starclan. Making Starclan even more powerful. Acornfur is forced to separate from her mate and kits and leave the clan. She was always Skystar I’s biggest supporter. Thunderclan and Skyclan’s alliance crumbles. Skystar II decides to continue living in the trees; seeing this as a good battle advantage. Thunderstar, along with their kits mourn the loss of Skystar I.
Skystar II is haunted by delusions of Skystar I, even of One-Eye as well. He never recovered from the heartbreak her words caused.
He died alone and hated by mostly everyone in his clan. When he ascends to Starclan, he does everything in his power to erase Skystar I’s leadership from existence. This caused a celestial uproar amongst Skyclan cats who loved Skystar I’s leadership and others who were against Starclan’s decisions. They left the ranks to join their descendants in the living world as ghosts. Starclan despised Skyclan due to them never being manipulated by Starclan’s power and control. This was the reason why Skyclan was banished by the rest of the clans. Starclan sent fake omens, convincing them to rid Skyclan from the forest territories; seeing it as “the right thing to do”.
Ancestors of Skyclan continued to give lives to the last leader of Skyclan, Cloudstar, so that the culture and values of Skyclan would not die out. The living and the dead have become clan mates together. As these ghost do not have an afterlife to go to, they are perfectly fine with this though.
This constant life-giving made Cloudstar immortal and causes great stress onto his body. But he accepts that this is what he needs to do in order to prevent his clan from going extinct.
Starclan cats are barred from associating with Skyclan.

Spirra Starra
A recently discovered plant found on Hoshimi Island off the north coast of Crescent Minoria near Koraln Sing. Thought to be related to several other glowing star plants like it, the Spirra Starra is a unique species only found on Hoshimi Island because of the combined climate it receives from its nearest landmasses. Each continent generally causes the flora there to grow a certain way because of various factors. Crescent Minoria in particular causes native plants to grow hard, generally glass-like, dark-colored stems. The glass-like part often applies to the petals as well. The flora there also thrive at night, deriving much of their energy from the Crescent Minoria moon or the stars. Hoshimi Island is situated such that it receives much of this 'climate' from its parent continent, Crescent Minoria, but is far enough away from it that it is not completely 'governed' by it, which in turn gives rise to many different flora that ordinarily would not thrive in Crescent Minoria soil. Though some of these factors are unclear as stems of varying transparency are found on Crescent Minoria, though they do trend towards dark and more opaque. This is thought to be one of the reasons that the Spirra Starra can only grow on Hoshimi Island, as the clarity of its stem is more like that of a Sky Buddy World clearplant, where its nearest relatives can be found. The Spirra Starra is thought to be a hybrid of several Sky Buddy World plants whose seeds fell or blew out towards Hoshimi Island and found a suitable home there. It is even thought that it could be an escaped plant from some Sky Buddy World gardener who had their hybrid seeds blow away on them.
Despite its proximity to Koraln Sing, Hoshimi Island does not receive a very strong 'climate' influence from the continent, but instead receives a general oceanic climate. If anything, it is thought to receive the other half of its climate from Wing Alayna, despite the fact that Wing Alayna is separated from Koraln Sing, Crescent Minoria and Hoshimi Island by many miles of Buddy Ocean. It is thought perhaps this is due to a current that comes down past Mewga Island off the southeast coast of Wing Alayna and around through Crescent Minoria's Gulf of Luna. Since Mewga Island also has a strong 'climatory' influence, however, the theory is unconfirmed. Proponents of the currents theory will generally explain this discrepancy by pointing out that Mewga Island's influence, though strong on the island itself, is not strong enough to be carried across the ocean, and thus is not the cause of Hoshimi Island's blended climate. While it is generally believed that a continent's influence is bound to its surrounding area, anomalies like Hoshimi Island are beginning to beg the question of what happens to land situated on the border of this influence. Another theory is that oceanic climates bring their own 'default' influence, and that default is generally Wing Alaynan influence. Some of this could be explained by their proximity to Wing Alayna, or perhaps even their proximity to other Wing Alaynan-influenced oceans. Either way, Wing Alayna is generally accepted as the standard for normalcy in many areas, including matters of climate. One may even go so far as to consider Wing Alayna the 'default' state of JI, and all other landmasses are varying degrees of abnormality. Perhaps it should be no surprise then that this overriding default is sometimes strong enough to cross miles of ocean and ignore weaker influences. Either way, Hoshimi Island proves to be an interesting area of study on how the continents influence floral growth and adaptation, just how far that influence can extend, how those influences can blend, and even what it means for a flora to be 'Cresent Minorian,' 'Wing Alaynan,' and so forth.
