Even the so-called "bad faith" critics have grown so tired of the shitstorm that is St*litz that even when the show finally remembered its roots and had the shorts revolve around assassinations, they did (comparatively) attrociously in the view department.
I find it interesting in the latest helluva short that humans are able to hold demon weapons but if they try to use them it'll burn/hurt them.
That's a cool bit of lore detail but, would it make sense if the demon weapons also burn/hurt the human if they try to pick them up/hold them too? Idk, just feels like Viv added that "It's fine to hold the weapon but not shoot it" as a sort of plot convivence so we have an excuse on why Blitz can't just easily escape.

Yeah I watched the Ozzie & Fizz Critic vids this is how I really feel about this cringe ship. I don't even like Smol UwU gay baby who can't protect themselves and Huge Dom daddies.
The recent HB episodes seem to have led to a noticeable shift within the fanbase. More people are getting tired of the Stolitz soap opera, and even people who like the show agree. And based on those leaks, it seems that HB will be loosing more and more fans as a result of Viv’s desperation to make Stolas sympathetic through any means necessary, regardless of whether or not it makes sense from a narrative standpoint. It’s a shame, really
You’re right. Because no one came here for the stolitz show. But since they’re here, it may as well be good. But it’s not. It’s such a shame she’s already going full speed ahead with season 3, which seems mostly stolas focussed again. Every time she sees critique, she sees it as an attack and doubles down on things her feedback say are not helping the quality of her show. Because she wants to “defeat” her critics. But they only want it to get better.
It is sad. Just, because of all the talented people who worked so hard. If their boss wasn’t so fixated with validating Twitter hot takes, satisfying the headcanons of stolitz shippers, and “owning the haters” (sic: letting haters indirectly influence your writing) it could be something great.
The show is going to make some very catastrophic risky decisions soon. Worse than you’ve seen so far. It may destroy itself like a snake eating its own tail.

I too, wanted to like Verosika; even a ton of people in the critical community seem to like her too!
But after what she did to Moxie all the way back in Spring Broken, the questionable ethics of her Succubus powers, and her transformation into a mouth-piece for Stolitz in the new episodes, I just couldn't get on board with her to any capacity.
Does she have potential? Yes! In the same way characters like Stella, Blitz, and many others had potential. But potential can only carry a character so far, and Veroskia's ran out rather quick for me.
While I do still think Veroskia is a good basis upon which to develop complex and revealing conversations about the misogyny and surprisingly conservative values of HB, her character itself is...lacking in many ways.
If you like her, that's wonderful! I personally just can't watch her without rolling my eyes or sighing with annoyance.
PS: Please go check out the guy who made this video! He's really talented and is one of the only shining beacons of hope for the critical community on Youtube.

This could be sad and funny only to me, yapping about whatever... WHATEVER THIS WAS 💀
I was casually just playing Wolf Quest as Santino, continuing from my previous save, right. And I went off to mark the territory, and I called John to go with me (remember this detail, okay).
And I opened the little menu to check on the pups, I knew they were all hidden, but Remus was sick, so I mainly checked for his health. And then. I fucking saw. "Mercury, LOST" and I was on the whole other side of the map with John. So I RAN AS FAST AS IT ALLOWED ME TO because pups can die if they wander off and something happens to them. And I was fucking shaking, but like... game will tell you when a pup is lost. And I didn't get anything this time? Like, no little pop up that he was lost.
So anyways, I was looking around while running towards the site but I couldn't spot him, then I got to the site and was looking around, even tried to catch his scent or howl so that he howls back...
AND THEN TWO STRANGER WOLVES appeared out of nowhere and they were actually really bold, usually it's easier for me to chase off the wolves but these two were actually attacking ME. Now... fucking John, was SO FAR AWAY bc why not. Why not be slow THIS time. And some of the pups left the tall grass where they were hiding (idk why they do that when there's a predator attack) and now this doesn't make sense to me, the next part.
Idk why my wolf (Santino) couldn't run, and his stamina was full, so it wasn't drained, I literally wanted to get to that wolf who was running towards a pup and then... he grabbed, shaked the pup and pup died. John. John, was NOT being helpful this time, idk why, he usually helps, he does attack the wolf back BUT NOOO, this time HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING, he was just circling around the wolf and not attacking.
Okay BUT me being me. I panicked so hard I didn't even see which pup died. I literally can't remember what it said. I opened the menu and loaded my last save where everyone was safe and alive. However... the game gave me an achievement that a predator killed a pup 😁 thanks game, and I was going to act like it never happened. No but I can't explain the way I fucking gasped and just SLAMMED THE MENU BUTTON and loaded the save, ain't no way I'm letting any of the pups die, bc it never happened to me before. A stranger wolf NEVER killed a pup, and I'm playing this since 2020.
In the last save, Mercury was still lost, but I managed to find him, and this time, I left JOHN AT THE SITE WITH PUPS in hopes of preventing another attack. So... was a pup killed? Umm... well, kinda yes, but no ^ ^ I actually finished the game with all 7 pups alive, SO IT DIDN'T HAPPENED BECAUSE EVERYONE IS ALIVE AND SAFE YAAY
I also think this was a glitchy gameplay bc none of this made sense to me. Why it didn't tell me a pup got lost? Why two wolves showed up out of nowhere, but my territory was fine, like there were no stranger wolves in it, because I would've known someone was in my territory since it would drain the territory.
But, yes, all 7 of them survived no matter the incident, and I finally got to see how they look like as adults and oh my did these two made beautiful pups bc they gave me THREE npc coats that you can unlock only if a pup grows up to have it. Okay, two, Metis and Echo got the same coat but still it's one of the rare ones and Remus... my beautiful boy, he literally has one of the pretties coats.
SO YES HERE HAVE THIS ME YAPPING ABOUT A WOLF GAME AND I LOVE WOLVES
I don't mean to come back to the hazbin critical space because sometimes being a hater is draining, but I saw the new short and the comments on it. Ppl were like "dang she's really annoying, she kinda sucks :/" for sexually harassing Blitzo (which, I agree, she was kinda annoying. That was the goal for her character).
...But these are the same people who laughed or thought it was cute when Stolas sexually harassed Blitzo. Both Emberlynn (the girl in the new short btw) and Stolas sexually harassed Blitzo (hell they used the same damn nickname for him, the girl calling him Blitzy-Kun and Stolas calling him Blitzy), but only the annoying girl gets the hate?
Idc about Viv poking fun at women who like anime or participate in fandom or whatever- this trope has been done a million times, I think this is just silly "haha creator poke fun at fanbase lol" shit, it happens with every show. But it's just weird how Stolas isn't considered a creep but this girl is, yk? This feels like the flirting vs harassment workplace meme, but instead of a handsome guy and an ugly guy, it's Stolas and this one-off character.
Just gonna bitch a little:
I do not care about a Love Triangle involving Stolas, especially if he’s the goddamn prize. Bella Swan is more of an achievement than fucking Stolas Goetia.

I think one of Vivziepop’s biggest writing problems is that she’s too eager to give the fandom what they want in terms of shipping. There is no reason for Charlie and Vaggie to be together; Vaggie doesn’t like Charlie or any of her friends, but they’re together because someone who worked on the storyboards for the pilot thought that they’d be cute as a couple. Husk and Angel Dust have no reason to be together either, they have nothing in common, Husk is clearly annoyed by Angel Dust and wants him to leave him alone, but they’re going to be forced together because fans started shipping Huskerdust because of the character Instagram pages. Stolas doesn’t deserve Blitzø, and yet because Stolitz is the most popular ship in Helluva Boss, he’s going to get him anyway. Look, I understand wanting to please your fans, but you can’t throw away your artistic integrity just to give people what they want, because that’s how you end up with three ships that don’t make sense.
