Platonic CG Steven X gn reader
(with a little tiny bit of CG Connie)
Fun day with Steven including roller coaster rides, head scratches, phone calls and nap time.
Warnings: age regression as a coping mechanism. Steven and Connie are dating.
Notes: It's a little long and not my best work but the original got deleted so I had to retype it from memory
"Maybe we should go on one more ride?" Steven asked, grabbing your wrist so he didn't lose you in the crowd of Beach City Funland.
"We haven't gone on this coaster!" He pointed to the rather large roller coaster in question and glanced back at you for response. "sure." You fight back the urge to yawn. You'd been at Funland for hours, and all of the walking made your legs ache a bit into your body tired. However, if Steven wanted to go on one more ride you figured you could manage. He pulled to you towards the fairly short line, readjusting the large bag of cotton candy he bought you in his free, the closer you got to the front.
When you finally made it to the front of the line you were the last seat in the coaster to be filled. Wiggling into your seat next to your friend as he unconsciously began fidgeting over your seat belt making sure it would secure and tight. Honestly you so down a bit as he fixed everything. "Too tight?"
"Um... huh?"
He laughed at your space brain. "Is it too tight?"
"no, thank you Steven."
"no prob kiddo." Muttered clicking his own seat belt into place.
The roller coaster clicked into place before starting and once again he looked over to his side to stare at you. Jokingly he bumped your elbows together. "You don't need me to hold your hand do you?"
"pft no." You definitely should have held his hand as roller coaster shot forward quickly going through intricate loops and tubes even at one point stopping for a few seconds at the top of a loop. It went around twice and settled back down at the end.
A little dizzy, the two of you unclipped your restraints and waddled your way out of the coaster. Stevens curls work even more messy than usual and your shirt wrinkles and creases are blown into it. Two of you walk down the stairs and you almost trip over your own feet from the floor still spinning a bit, but Steven caught you.
"Oh! WE TAKE A PICTURE TO SEND CONNIE BEFORE WE GO!" You perk up slightly which startled Steven a bit. Even a few pedestrians turn to look mostly tourist as locals were used to random outbursts especially with Steven around.
He pulled about his phone and held it out to you. Steven doesn't believe in keeping a password on his phone so you swipe up on the screen and fumble through it to the camera. Standing in front of him you But other than enthusiastic smiles before clicking the button to take the photo.
It was taking out an odd angle because of Steven's height So you couldn't see your smile at all in the photo but it had a certain charm to it. "Wait, let's do it again..."
"No, I like this one." He hurriedly snatched his phone to press send

"That's not fair , I looked bad."
"trust me it's Connie, She wouldn't care if We were dressed in trash bags." He ruffled your hair "lets go."
You groan up the idea of more walking to get to the van. "Why are we groaning?"
"mmmwalking-" you whine. Steven looks at
you and sighs.
"come here." He sat on the ground in front of you and you stood looking at the back of his head confused. "Well climb on, we should get home So I have time to cook dinner." Oh. You Do what you told clamoring onto his black and he stands up and begins walking again. As you walk you pass by a few familiar faces, waving at Onion and getting no response at all, passing Sadie and getting a smile, seeing (no longer mayor) Dewey being sketchy.
Finally after such an exciting day you begin realizing just how tired you are your eyes begin to flutter and close and you relax slumping onto Steven more. Hands cling to his shirt and an unconscious attempt to hold yourself from falling over But your brain knew Steven wouldn't let you fall.
You barely noticed being put into the backseat of the van until Steven tsked like a suburban soccer mom and began talking about how unsafe it was for your shoes to be untied as he fixed the loops on your sneakers. He placed your bag of cotton candy next to you in the chair and took a picture to show Connie later. He climbed into the front seat of the car and started it up. He got a notification on his phone.

He smiled at the picture of his girlfriend smiling and her roommate at college. Her hair had grown out a bit more due to lack of a haircut and it was thrown in a messy ponytail. She held up the peace sign to the camera.

He put his phone away and smiled even brighter to himself glancing in the rear view mirror at your sleeping form drooling a bit in the back seat.
"ok, let's get you home and in some pajamas." Drummed his fingers on the steering wheel before finally turning out of the park and leaving it behind him.
It was mostly silent ride music on low and you didn't even realize you had left the park until he woke you up while trying to unbuckle your seatbelt. "Stevie?"
"aw shoot. I didn't mean to wake you up." He frowned. "Come on since you're up we can get you a quick bath okay? You gotta do it by yourself though."
"ok."
Once again he lifted you up but this time carrying you as if you're a small child Which was pretty easy considering his height. He walked to the door of your small beach house (Not too far away from the crystal gems temple.) And waddled in dropping the other stuff he was carrying on the couch. He put his keys on the counter as the two of you passed and led you to the bathroom. Sitting you down on the lid of the toilet He started some bath water. "I'll be back." He muttered mostly to himself it seemed.
you watched him disappear around the corner into your room. Staring at the running water you begin to dissociate, slipping quickly into a smaller mindset.
Suddenly your brain becomes very hyper aware of the fact that your legs hurt, and you miss your friend Connie, and you have to go to work tomorrow. A frown finds its way onto your face. Gross. You felt Like shrinking away and hiding in a pillow fort.
Wrapped up in your thought you didn't notice that your roommate reentered the room until he turned off the water you'd been staring at. In his hands were a pair of pink pajamas with little stars on them.
"ok i'm going to start dinner. You'll be ok?''
You nod tiredly at him and wait for him to close the door before getting ready to step into the bath. Taking off your sweater and hat from your day at the park, before sitting in the warm bubbles. For a minute You just sit there, your small brain unaware of what you should do. You raise your hand to scratch at your nose and let it plop back down into the water. A couple begins floating in the air until it pops against the metal faucet making you giggle.
Steven in the kitchen holding a box of spaghetti noodles looks in the direction of your giggling and smiles to himself shaking his head. ' They definitely won't be getting very clean.' he sighs sitting at the counter waiting for the water to boil. Eventually he adds in the noodles and sits some more until finally, you emerge from the bathroom, your pajamas disheveled from rushing to put them on and your hair damp from playing in the water. you waddle into the kitchen sitting beside him at the counter.
"Will you brush my hair?" Your voice is small and cute and he eagerly takes the brush and his hands. "of course. We've got a minute before spaghetti. Water?" He hands you a sippy cup and although it's phrased as a question you understand that it's not. He starts brushing your hair gently, running his fingers through it as pieces of wet hair flop in your face. He hums an enthusiastic tone under his breath. You feel both the brush and his fingers scratching at your scalp and close your eyes to listen to his hum better. It was a comfortable moment. That continued successfully making you even more sleepy, You fought to stay awake a little longer.
Steven opened his mouth to tell you he needed to check on this spaghetti but was effectively cut off by his phone ringing. Connie's face flashed on screen and he stopped brushing your hair briefly to answer.
"Hello?" He was greeted with a smiling Connie on the screen.
"Steven! I'm so happy to see you. never guess what just happened!"
You perk up a bit at the sound of Connie's voice glancing at the camera. She was always very nice to you.
"I scored the highest grade on my history of medicine class project."
"Congratulations. I'm very proud of you."
"Oh you should have seen Carrie Wesley's dumb face." She proceeded to mock the voice of the mean girl in her class. "Really Maheswaran? What's the best you've got?" She laughed. "But guess what my projects still beat yours Carrie." she giggled and Y/n couldn't help but giggle with her. Connie hearing the third voice on call for the first time gasped loudly. "Is that Y/n. Show me the baby."
"Hi Connie." You cheese happily at the camera as Steven hands you the phone from its place on the counter.
"Hi y/n. You got the star pajamas I sent you!"
"Mmhm! Thank you." You begin to nod and Steven removes the brush from your hair placing it on the counter to go wash his hands.
"Is that water you've got?" She cooed nicely through the phone getting an eager nod in return. "Good job. What's for dinner?"
You let out a big yawn and rub your face. "Spaghetti and garlic bread."
"Yummy." As the two of you talk you begin to wander off towards the living room to lay on the couch and eventually Steven comes and joins you. "Dinner's ready if you want to eat."
"Not yet." You yawn, handing him his phone back so he can speak with his girlfriend and laying down beside him on the couch. Finally you get to close your eyes listening to the animated talkings of Connie and Steven catching up for the week. Thick fingers begin to unconsciously scratch at your scalp again as you drift off beside him.
Completely relaxed.
Bonus:
Steven pulls his fingers from your hair and grabs a couch pillow to place under your head. Connie whispers through the phone "They need a blanket too."
"I'm going as fast as I can." Even when you're sleeping the two of them fawn over their cute adorable friend.
I may or may not be having a gay panic attack over Garnet right now…

i forgot most of the early seasons. i forgot what pearl and amethyst looked like before Steven Universe the Movie. i love lion so much. pinkest lad, cat.
now to fantasize about Crossovers with current fixations.

Steven getting transported to Twisted Wonderland, having to deal with a new canned worms.
He has to deal with, like, 7 traumatized teens(?) and them oberbloting.
Lion always finds a way to Steven.
Steven justs uses his shield during all the overblot fights.
Book 1 - He tells Riddle about his mom during the memory sequence, Riddle gets to see Steven's childhood.
Kinda reminds him of Pearl.
Book 2 - 'This might be weird, but, I'll have to spit on you.' proceeds to spit on the injured students during the investigation. Might accidentally cure Trey's blindness like he did Connie's but, that's probably ok.
Kinda reminds him of Amethyst.
Book 3 - He never really had any bullies nor has gone to school to get bullied, but he'll probably asks what it's like going to school with children your age. Is amazed on how much Azul knows. Admires his intelligence.
Kinda reminds him of Connie? She is the only person he hung out with that went to school.
Book 4 - He can't really sympathize with Jamil, as he lived a life like Kalim. Naive and ignorant to the bad things that happened to him, forgiving the people who hurt him just as easily. Criticizing Kalim as well as his younger self.
Reminds him of some gems under the Diamond's rule before.
STEVEN FUSING IN BOOK 5 DURING THE SDC TRAINING. KALVEN, STEACE, DEVEN, STEVMIL, STROOK, VILEVEN, EPLVEN. I REALLY BADLY WANT TO DRAW THESE FUSIONS.
HIM FINDING CONNIE DURING THE FESTIVAL AND SHES GOING TO RSA.
Book 6 - Understanding of Idia's position. Taking on a role you didn't want, but was born into.
Reminds him of Peridot. Especially with their affinity for electronics.
HIM BUBBLING THE BLOT CRYSTALS BEFORE GRIM EATS THEM!!!
